Thank you Mike~! I didnt know what to expect when unboxing. It really surprised me how well it was made. I didnt think the magnet would hold the ipad. Bracing for impact in the video lol. It is very strong it turns out. Cheers~!
Have you encountered problems with your iPad overheating? My Sketchboard Pro has a hole in the back to allow for some airflow, but I do prefer the look of the SketchSlate and I'd love to have multiple leg size options. The SketchSlate user manual says, "If you notice your iPad getting too hot, simply give it a few minutes outside of the SketchSlate to cool down", which makes me a bit nervous. I wonder if I could drill some holes in the back myself? LOL
Currently, my mileage and yours may vary. As of time of usage, Its in winter/spring , 1 hour of usage doesn't get hot for me on my Ipad M2 but I can totally see this shift during the summer so let me get back to you as soon as it gets warmer here. I also don't have my brightness all the way up as well but I can totally imagine it being slightly warmer if I did. Let me know your brightness level, and how long do you use it. I have a thermal gun here and I can do a test for you.
Thanks for the helpful review, much appreciated. How would this be using it in your lap? Too heavy or awkward? Do you find you’re missing the ability to use the on/off and volume buttons?
Its perfectly fine using it on the lap. It feels like drawing on an old sketch pad back in school. The on and off switch can be used but you need to pull the ipad out for access.
Actually there is 3 magnets at the bottom. You can rotate to Portrait mode and the pen will be on your right side and the cable will be on the bottom. So perhaps 4 magnets would had done the trick for you.
Mine hasnt but I wish someone can tell me their setting such as screen brightness, app and duration of usage so I can replicate the issue. Otherwise, I found no over heating when using my ipad on this board.
awesome! really thinking of picking one up pretty pricey but i cant stand drawing just on a flat surface esp on the ipad. going to try and pair this up with a paperlike screen protector and see how it feels! @@theCameraVille
Oh heck yes. This is what I was looking for when i saw the sketchboard pro.
Its still fantastic~! Almost been a year since I got it. Still using it. I am sure there might be some black Friday discount soon.
I'd put stickers all over it lol
Lol!! Oh yes.. I remember that in college lol!!.. damn... good times lol
@@theCameraVille I know what you mean times were good in college. I miss those times
Very helpful review and I love how excited you get from magnets

Good point, I use an iPad Pro 2018 and that thing heats up like no tmr. I would definitely look into drilling holes.

Love the fancy and simple looking design, but really wish it had like a large hole in the middle for the iPad to breath
I can pass this info to the maker . A few folks were hoping for this. I believe these are power user who goes beyond normal usage.
The portrait mode would have been better with the charging cable at the top and the pen groove on the left

Sehr schönes Unboxing! - Aber: Leider kann man die Knöpfe für die Lautstärke nicht mehr bedienen 😅
