@Andres Ruiz depending on how many miles your car have, how it was driven and is being driven, how it currently drives(clunking, popping, etc...) the old bushings can be worn. I always replace the strut/shock mount bushings for a piece of mind and for it all to be new and tight.
When adjusting the coils is it okay to have a bit of play and extra room in the spring while the suspension is lifted ? Because if I want to go lower the spring will be lose and not under load with the car off the ground
Yes, that's normal for these kind of coilovers when you want to go low. Mine is like that too. Just make sure that when you put the car back down, your springs are seated correctly in the spring perches.
hey last question man... i got a spring compressor today because im doing the rear ones tomorrow do you think i can fit that in there to get the spring out easy? and for putting the new ones in will i need the compressor or do they just slide in?

I got a b8.5 a4, 19x10.5 in rear and 9.5 in front. Thinking of getting the bc raicing coilovers, am I going to have to camber hard? And if I do what would you recommend getting for a camber kit?
Hmmmm depends on the offset of the wheels, tire size you plan to go with and how low you plan to go. 034Motorsport and SPC makes adjustable control arms to help with more camber
I installed some and the car sits just fine and will drive on a smooth surface fine, but as soon as I it a bump It feels like the mount is moving and isn’t tight enough I’ve torqued them down and there’s a little play in between the tophat mount and the control arm mount when applying pressure, would you have any idea why?
WOAH I just realized something… why the hell were my suspension forks faceing opposite ways on each frount side or the car yours were too I think because when you show the other front side you did on camera the fork was backwards
@@cjscarcollection18 so both of the your suspension forks are facing the same way it’s a problem now because I can’t get my swaybar linkage back on. It’s way too far off. I don’t know how it was on in the first place.

Still doing good as of today. Rides just like when I installed them. Still no issues and no complaints from the family. Also, keep in mind this is my daily and I don't plan to track on these coilovers nor would I recommend these for track use 👍
@gerlee7486 The rear adjuster perch actually has an Allen hole in the center of it to be able to adjust it. So I used a, ratchet, a long extension and I can't remember the Allen size maybe 10mm and with the coilover adjusting wrench you can't adjust the height. Go from the bottom and through the center of spring hplder

Like my driver side to drop it I'll adjust it by moving it down but the passenger side to drop it I have to move the spring perch up. Yours do that? I'm so lost
@gerlee7486 anytime 👍 Hmmmm not quite sure what you mean but sometimes the spring and adjusting collar could just get stuck together from compression that only the perch moves but it still adjusts the height which is fine.
Where can the specs be found? Workshop manual? Also if you put the car back down before torquing up, how do you access the bolts? Do you mean put the wheel back on and put it down? Thanks for the vid super helpful
@Nick Mather I found the torque specs online. ECStuning made an installed blog with torque specs. I actually loaded the suspension by jacking the lower control arm up just until the car lifts off the jack stand and then torqued it all to spec. This is without the wheel installed.

Yea I've done it one before with a spring compressor. You just have to get it at a good angle. New ones will not need. Spring compressor 👍

How did you take the nut and bolts out so easy I used a lot of wd40 and it still won’t even budge

Is there a torque spec for the bolt at the bottom of the strut?
Yes, based off ECSTUNING's install guide it's 40Nm + 180° (30ft-lbs + 180°)

No errors cause I do not have adaptive suspension. They are still good for a daily driver. I have no complaints. 👍
