I ended up installing jelos directly onto the device and it came with a bunch of issues. I discovered the device should be set to PCM to get sound.. fine, great, there was now sound... but the next time i rebooted the device the sound was gone and required a reset. This wasn't a one off issue. Everytime I turn on the device the sound doesn't work and requires a reset, sometimes multiple resets. There is a similar issue with the network connection where you must turn off the wifi, load a game or reboot and then turn wifi back on. The box arts also seem to disappear. So suffice to say, I'm going back to widows 11 with a Retro Bat build as my front end.

Can you confirm: are you installing jelos (ie uOS) directly onto the device and overwriting windows or does it work in the same manner as Batocera (running off the flash drive)? When did you remove the thumb drive from the device? I wish you had confirmed this.
So, this video was made VERY early on when Jelos was in its early builds for Win600. At that time, it wiped my Windows drive (which wasn't supposed to happen) it was a glitch. The issue should not be a problem now. The unofficial OS should be very stable now, I need to revisit this video and make an updated one!

After Jelos is installed, what is the average boot up time and shut down times? Also have you heard of any other potential advantages to Jelos over Bacotera? Game performance?
Yes, that's a fantastic idea and exactly what I did, great way to use that Glowy SSD. Awesome question! I'd say under 15 seconds, my timer is currently occupied for the Retroid Pocket 3 battery test. 🤣😆
I'm using windows 11 home on anbernic win 600 glowy ssd also it cannot go to sleep on its own what the hell is going on. Nobody can help me. Sleep timer all not working.

Batocera will automatically display the consoles in the home screen when it detects there are games in the ROMs folder. How are you adding games to the device?

There is actually JELOS and unOfficial OS now (which is a fork of JELOS). The video is VERY old, so the build of JELOS is very early. You are the best mate I'm flashing this on a 128gb SanDisk usb to run jelos. Thanks for introducing UOS as well. Wonder what's the difference. Batocera is too much for me.
It's cool but kinda pointless at least for Win600, the main selling of Win600 and similar handheld like Steamdeck and Aya Neo is you can play PC game on it and of course emulator, but from what I see this just for emulation purpose only (at least for now) and it's kinda waste if you lost the ability to play PC game same as Batocera.
In the future, once it all gets ironed out we will be able to load JELOS right off a USB drive. BTW, I run Batocera off a slim USB drive and still retain Windows in my internal drive so I get the best of both worlds! It’s a great solution!

Did you add the app on your internal hard drive? How come I don't see the thumb drive sticking out of the Winn600 while playing the games?
Yes, this was installed to the internal drive. At the time, JELOS was fairly early in development, so it needed to be installed on the SSD.

You will need to plug in a keyboard to interrupt the automatic installer and then you can choose which drive to install it to.

Yes, it should in theory but I would wait to install since it's early in development.

You lost me at "wipes the SSD drive". Batocera runs perfectly from a USB flash drive.
That is for the JELOS beta. I'm suggesting to wait before making a switch from Batocera to JELOS.
