@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab quirky looking aircraft... i have 3 of them from Misterkit (1 built and 2 in the stash).... yes the decals ARE garbage and the instructions ARE all over the place but the kits in and of themselves are okay..... i have built worse
It's a nice looking well detailed kit, though typical Modelsvit, a little rough around the edges and wont be a quick build. I also went for the Ukrainian boxing. I'm not sure the KKR-1 can do designator targeting, it's a recon pod and contains 3 cameras and an ELINT system. The version contained in the kit also has the flare cassettes. Some versions do contain a laser, but I believe that is only for object detection, not designating them, not sure whether that is the version in the kit, but hopefully an expert can tell us.
I believe they mean, that the M4R version, came into service in Ukraine. Though, yes, the Su-17 is an older aircraft, went into service in 1970. Enjoyed your video, as usual. Cheers from Red Bluff, California.
Interesting kit. I checked online Peter and Modelsvit did indeed release a very expensive short run An-225 a few years back in 1/72! On sale at Jadlam for 704.95....
Good luck with those bloody stencils! I generally just put on the larger, obvious ones, underside? Maybe not required (howls of horror from the model mafia!). Looks like an interesting kit though, not come across this much in 'the real world' but, as it's representing a Ukrainian operated machine, go for it. Hope the build goes well. (By the way, a lot of those tiddley little stencils would weather off over time, worth checking shots of the real thing to see what is visible, may save some grief!)
Its amazing that a company from the Ukraine can produce a kit like this with P/E and mask set. Yet a company like Airfix that arent in a war torn country cant even include a pilot or mask set in a Kit.
I would imagine that it’s probably less about not being able to than choosing not to do so. There are always choices to be made but unless we were involved in the process we can only speculate.
I could be wrong here but it looked like you might have a chunk missing from the nose radome, looked like a ratty edge with a section missing. The drawing on the instruction sheet shows it as a whole cone, no bits missing, give it a close look before plunging into assembly.
Forgive me for posting this Peter here but I was enjoying your video of 2 years ago of your birthday present - the M1 Assault Breacher. Did you ever start the kit? I can’t find another video on it by you. One gentleman who did complete it found the plow did not attach to the tank correctly but every other video I watched they never mentioned having the problem. Another post I saw online of the build mentioned one or two mistakes in the instructions via part numbers. Anyways, I just purchased the kit and was wondering your experience on it. Good day mate and have a warm brew on me!
I like that interesting to hear what other people have to say in real time 👍

That’s the old Pantera kit. IIRC Smer reboxed it as well.

@@baanibarnes9711 Hmm...No, don't think any missing, just a flashy edge, otherwise same as seen in section 4.

No Honda?
Jokes aside, Sukhoi made interesting aeroplanes.
I don't think its flash maybe just the way its represented m8
1/72 scale is far too small for my 64 year old lamps now. Where aircraft are concerned it’s 1/48 or 1/32.
