I decided to give crochet a go after 50 years of knitting, and threw myself in at the deep end by making this and referring to your book - You Can Crochet, for guidance. I'm incredibly pleased with the result and can't wait to try something else. Thank you for the clear and precise instructions 😍
This is the second time making this scarf and I’m still in love with the simplicity and overall effect of this pattern. Your tutorials are STILL my favourites to listen to. Thank you.
I just made this!! Thank you! It’s my third project and I feel so accomplished! It is the first thing that I make that actually looks lovely enough to wear out haha 😂 thanks again!!! 💐💐💐
Out of the many, many UA-cam channels I've tried just to learn basic crochet... THIS channel has been the only one where I was successful in learning something. I could cry. Thank you so much for your videos. They are wonderful.
I have only recently started crocheting and am absolutely hooked. Was looking for a Christmas present to make for my Daughter and came across this video. Your instructions are so clear and concise, thank you!!!
Thanks for another great tutorial! I have to tell you that back in March of this year, my son got married, I decided then that since a baby will likely be on the horizon that I should learn to crochet. I found a tutorial by you on how to make a granny square & started there. I think I have done just about all of your tutorials & am now to a point where I'm pretty confident that I can make just about anything and I also have a house full of useful dishcloths :) So thanks again! I'm completely obsessed with crocheting & have even begun to spin my own yarn. I owe it all to you!
Hi Sarah-Jayne. Just wanted to say thanks for the tutorial. I'm halfway through and it's looking fab. I've also followed your granny square tutorial, which was really helpful. I've been teaching myself to crochet this year, and your videos are some of the best I've found.
Can you be addicted to crocheting? If so, I am... and your videos are my trigger! Your explanations are awesome... this particular scarf I've made about 20 times this month! 😛
So beautiful, So simple! Was surprised to see that a chain of 23 was so loose and nice. Loved the way you joined both ends of the scarf, i usually use the needle to join the whole thing so when i use the technique you showed im sure it will be soo much easier. Great instructions and easy to follow like always!
I just start this one! But I used a Medium 4 milk cotton yarn and 5.5 mm crochet hook. I chained 35! Had to frog the first few rows thrice before I got the hang of it, but finally can do it like how you showed in the video. I'll try to finish it as soon as I can ❤
Thank you! My first crochet project which I have been wanting to learn for years. trying to teach myself from UA-cam vids and was getting incredibly frustrated thinking I wasn’t going to get it! yours is the first that is easy to follow and I’m half way through. Thank you thank you! =D
This is an OUTSTANDING tutorial. Very beginner friendly. I’ve been crocheting 🧶 since I was eight but I never did much pattern work. This is an excellent transition into fancier stitches, and SO easy to follow. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to improving my skills with your assistance.
Beautiful! Im going to make one today! Everyone I know is getting an infinity scarf for Christmas this year.. they are perfect for our Seattle weather. HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I just want to thank you for giving such great instructions and showing us everything for the UK and the US and you just awesome I am going to tale everyone about your UA-cam channel 😊thank you
i made one using Lion Brand Mandala yarn, and even though it is a light #3 and I used a 5.75mm J hook, this pattern worked great with that yarn. Thanks for the tutorial
Wow, an inspiring video, can't wait to get more yarn and to get started on this! Thanks for making this look so easy and clear. I have used a few of your tutorial videos and they are so easy to follow! Thanks for sharing.
Finally a pattern that's easy and beautiful and very nicely explained. You certainly deserve more subscribers. I wish I'd seen your tutorials earlier. Anyway thanks so much Bella Coco😍
Lovely. I’ve just started to learn how to crochet. I used to knit and had a big stash of Debbie bliss Rialto chunky in my stash. When I’ve finished my current granny square beginner project I might try this one. Thank you!
I have started making this beautiful scarf/snood, and so far and have used two 50g balls of the DB Rialto Chunky yarn and the scarf measures 64cm in length. I think I will need more than the 3 balls, as suggested in the video, as I cannot see how it can go around your neck twice at the predicted length of 96cm. Have other crocheters found this is the same case as me? Love the turoial video, very easy to follow so thank you Bella Coco.
Bella would you be able to do a video on how to crochet the foundation half double crochet and the foundation triple crochet please. I just can't get to grips with it. I love your video's and have learnt all I know from you. Thank you xx
Could you possibly do a newborn hat tutorial? I'm currently crocheting baby blankets to donate to pregnancy crisis centers and shelters, and would love to donate hats as well! Your tutorials are the only ones that I can successfully crochet after watching.
Thank you, I love your infinity V stitch scarf that I made one, I was so very happy when I finished. My daughter saw it and loved it also, that I will be making her one. She can't wait!!!!! Thank you once again!! 😃
Hi Sarah First of all I wanted to tell you that you are the best teacher ever! I also want to ask if you could possibly give instructions for baby and/or adult converse sneakers? I have tried other people's instructions for them & cannot follow them. I think you have me spoiled. My nephew had his first baby recently and I would love to surprise him with these as a gift. I anxiously await your reply. PS congrats on the engagement. Jean Nungesser
hey Bella! keep up the crochet tutorials !! I'm a new crochet girl and I love your voice to listen to and love the way you guide us through the patterns. very clear! thank you!!! love from the Netherlands and a happy and healthy 2017!
Thank you for sharing your tutorials, ❤️ your tutorial videos and your work your very talented. I do have a question though, can any crochet pattern be used? Thank you 😊🇺🇸
Fabulous tutorial for a beginner project that grows quickly. Thank you Sarah Jayne! just one thing is that the more I wear my scarf, the longer it's becoming. as it's stretching .... any ideas why? (chunky wool and no. 7 hook)
Thank you, I’m glad you like it 😊 That sounds like it could be an issue with the yarn you’re using; some yarns are better at holding their shape than others, and some (especially bamboo/cotton yarns) are notorious for stretching. It may be a case of remaking the scarf using an alternative yarn if it becomes too stretched.
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I am a newbie (both on your channel and as far as crocheting goes). Given that I do not like wool much, do you think i could use acrylic for this? If so, which would you recommend? Thanks a lot!
I do follow various UA-camrs, but, Bella Coco is my go-to ❤

Is it necessary to take odd number of chains in starting?
Can we take even?
