Hi Ashley! I’ve been doing this with you since February 6th and I’m seeing progress…. My biggest wins so far are getting up early, exercising before I go to work, drinking more water, tracking my macros and most importantly avoiding negativity! Still pressing in so thank you so much for the challenge and being a wonderful inspiration!!! Have a great day!!!

I accidentally clicked on it, I was not going to watch it but what caught my attention was your 6 month challenge list, because just last night I started my own 6 month challenge list and it matches EXACTLY to yours! I though to myself this is a sign, I must watch this video and I am so glad that I did. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and your tips. I’m also a boy mom and work from home, I’m trying to become healthier so that future me will be thankful 🥲 also, I have trust issue with supplements but I am so glad you shared yours. They seem great, include many natural sources and have great reviews. I will be giving them a try!

Today is my birthday, I'm 52 and for the past 6 years I've wanted nothing more than to lose 25kg. I thought i tried just about everything however, watching your video you have helped me see that it is all about mindset and staying consistent and preparation. If you can do it with 4 boys, I certainly can do it. I have 3 daughters that are 25, 21, and 20. Can i ask what app were you using to track your meals and where do you get your meal planning ideas from. Thank you so much. I love your channel and the way you make your videos.

My kudos to you moms. I lost weight and changed lifestyle before covid and maintain weight and healthy habits despite lockdown, when gyms were shut down, social distancing, gym hours changes, etc etc, but it’s really Another level difficult to do all these when you have responsibilities of being a mom & housewife. I wish you the best in your journey. You have no idea how much you’re influencing your kids showing them how to maintain good routines, all these healthy habits, how to be consistent and not give up. Btw, I’m single, do laundry, a small load, every other week and complain about it 😂

Any suggestions for someone with a not so common situation?! I'm (almost) 42 wife & mom, I work full time 3rd shift at a factory. So I'm at work from 10 pm to 6 am. I then take over care of of 2 youngest kiddos almost 7 yr old daughter and almost 2 yr old son. I try to get a 3-4 hour nap in, in the mornings but sometimes not always a given. So I lay down about 9:30-10 am & am back up by 1pm to feed little man and get ready to pick daughter up from school. Don't get to lay back down for my 2nd nap until 5:30-6pm & back up around 8-8;30 to eat dinner then rush off to work! Currently trying to improve my health and wellness but finding it hard with the sleep aspect 😢 any tips. Can't afford daycare & don't have family/friends close by to help out. So it's just me & hubby. Any tips would be appreciated 😊

I'm 39 and I've lost and gained 20 lbs so many times over since my 20s that I've learned to appreciate both builds and very comfortable losing and gaining weight. My biggest tip is along what she says. Don't think of exercise as a chore or that you have to do a full work out. Only have 10 mins? Do some walking or crunches. It's definitely the little things. Cut sugar, drink water and substitute like she does. Works like a charm. I'm anywhere from 110 lbs to 150 in my lifetime.

It’s also good to try to reframe it in your head as something you *get* to do rather than something you *have* to do. Being able to move your body and exercise is a privilege. It’s a celebration of what you are capable of and that’s true at any level of ability.

One thing I think is really interesting to note is that the most unhealthy weight related practice is to continually lose and gain weight. It puts such a strain on your heart and metabolism and has long term health consequences that far outweighs the consequences of just staying at 150lbs. Just something worth remembering.

I learned from whole 30 that taking the time to detox from sugar your body will then learn to burn the fat for energy instead of sugar resulting in more sustainable energy throughout the day. Fats are healthy and necessary. Olive oil, animal fats, egg yolk are critical for health and not villains like we are taught to believe.

I’ve lost 55 lbs and still have more to go. I love this, but I would like to add that dietary fat is not bad for us and has so many benefits. Such as making us feel satiated and full so we don’t overeat. We don’t necessarily need to cut fats out of our diet, we can simply just eat them in moderation. Fat also should be eaten along with protein as it helps our bodies properly digest the protein.

    • @DNELLEB
      @DNELLEB Рік тому +4

Yeah this is absolutely correct and dietary fats that contain omega-3s etc are very important for aiding in reproductive health. As well as when the triglycerides in fat are broken down they become an energy source especially for long-duration, low- to moderate-intensity exercise! So dietary fats are definitely important as u said!

    READ ME!
Hi! I watch youtube all the time and have never left a comment until this one. I'm a 33 year old mom with 4 boys who have followed so many different you tubers and came across this video and it really inspired me. I don't know what it was because I have watched so many different you tubers. I instantly got excited and motivated and wanted to watch alllll your fitness/day in a life/what I eat etc videos.
Please please please continue to make more. I was so sad to only find 3 or 4 videos and seen you have a huge channel of DIY and home decor etc ( which I love and will watch too considering my whole house is farmhouse as well) but I think you are the one person who might motivate me to stick to something! I loved the mental, self care you included as well. I never tackle that issue and it was inspirational.
Please think about making a few more!
Signed- another boy mom trying to finally find the best version of me, mentally and physically.

    Sigam firmes e fortes.
    Abraços. ❤❤

I lost 45 pounds eating things like eggs bacon fresh fruit and ate plenty of Fat like butter because our hormones are made of fat ! Fat does NOT make you fat it’s all the sugar and refined carbs that do that and cholesterol’s & fat DO NOT CAUSE HEART DISEASE.

Wow, you lost the weight awesome! You look great! I just know what back pain feels like and wish no one else would have to experience that pain. When you are lifting weights, if you look at the floor you restrict your breathing a bit and might hurt your back. I hurt my back lifting wrong and the one thing i learned from that was to open up my chest and look straight ahead. It feels so much better. 🧡 Love your queit morning routine, it defently improves your mood for the rest of the day. ☮

Does anyone have recommendations on how to balance this with working? It's dark when I go to work and almost dark when I get home. I feel like on the weekends I do well with cooking good meals and being active, but during the week, I really struggle after work for the couple hours I have before going to bed.

Do you like your work?? I would be thinking of changing your work or routine. Not getting enough sleep made me a different person and I was fatigued like crazy!! Step one would be imagining a new reality. How can I change my job? How can I change my schedule? What other ways can I, or would I want to make money?? From there you can plan to do stuff you enjoy. Waking up and having coffee and going for a walk or run or start learning calisthenics or lifting!! It sounded like to me, your schedule was hindering your personal goals!! I hope you have found courage and encouragement through this!! 💜

Hi Ashley, I just wanted you to know that this video that you made (which I accidentally found 4 weeks ago) has changed my life. I just finished reading "The Mountain Is You" and do a gratitude journal every day. I am finally healing from all my traumas and I am finally losing weight and becoming healthy again. I just wanted to say thank you. You never know how you can make a difference in someone's life. Again, THANK YOU!

@jes I´m succeeding in getting up early after listening to Mel Robins and her audiobook „The 5 seconds rule”. I also thought about myself as „not a morning person” but it’s all about making a decision and sticking to it. You don’t have to like it to be able to do it. I’ve been doing it for a month now, almost every day (I think I slept in 2-3 times to get enough sleep if I happened to go to bed too late), I go for a long walk right after I wake up (in May I did 150 miles and took over 430,000 steps. I do intermittent fasting and lost almost 9 pounds already. I’m loving that I’m able to stick to my new habits. I hope I can do it through the autumn and winter but living in Sweden it might prove difficult :)
