The fact they allow you to buffer a fireball in-between your super for Ken is beautiful. Beautiful technical style points and dmg optimization
It actually lowers the damage of the combo because of scaling, so it’s optimal to just do target combo -> super. The fireball just gives you a bigger window to hit confirm (makes it a lot easier, not harder to do). It does look cool though.

Considering how often Max destroys anyone who dares to taunt against him in 3rd Strike, this one surprised me greatly.
The guy spamming coin is like the average Fightcade experience: someone who knows enough about how to play the game, but once you find a gap in their playstyle they get pissed lmao.

Man max your videos have always been there for me. I've been going through a lot of things and stopped watching UA-cam all around. I recently left the mother of my children bc she fell into drugs. These three weeks have been hard. Today was rough but as soon as I got the notification for this video I was filled with extreme happiness. I forgot how much your videos bring joy to my life. I speak for all of us fans when I say... thank you for always being here for us.

This video actually made me impressed by Max hit confirm skills himself. Everytime he commented "I saw that hit" I actually went back and played the video slowly and you do can see a hit. But the Alex one at 9:00, dude, there's like, 2 frames of hit effect, he reacted so quickly.

I can't believe this game is nearly a quarter of a century old, and it still holds up EXCEPTIONALLY well. It's tight, it's responsive, and it flows so damn well. Fighting games are so fucking cool, man.

It’s so funny how respectful the fgc is compared to other games. I play a lot of dbd so one taunt is literally not even close to toxic in my eyes. I used to getting hate mail and personal messages telling me to unalive myself.
Reminds me of when someone was beating me up and taunted in DoA when I was playing Tina. I was like, “I’m bad, but I’m not THAT bad,” and I hit ‘em with a three part command grab that I usually drop and I won.
So that’s what the T in TKO stands for

Basically the above, although I'd like to add the note that Ken's LIGHT DP in Street Fighter II, 3S, and even IV to a good extent, are kind of stupid enough that if it whiffs and you just do it again, you're not likely to get punished to begin with so why not just fucking do it? Because worst case scenario nothing happens, best-case scenario you hit them for free damage?

What the 2 people above said is true to an extent, but the actual reason is that they're trying to get the Kara Shoryuken.
Kara cancelling a move is when you cancel a normal's startup into another move so that you can use the trajectory to scoot your character forward. In 3S, Ken can combo Jab DP into Jab DP on some characters. On another shoto, he can do it no tricks in the corner, but is just slightly out of range when done midscreen. So the second DP has to be a Kara DP to actually combo on shotos.
He will cancel the startup of crouching MK (or HK, but MK is safer) into DP. The input for the second DP will look like 62MK3LP. But he has to input the 3LP literally 1 frame after the medium kick or it won't come out. Alternatively, he might end up pushing the LP before the MK (because of how small the window is) which is why the DP comes out, but doesn't connect.

That guy has to be using a macro to get the super out that quickly even on unexpected whiffs.
What max doesnt know is that Low Forward is SA punishable with Ken, but it has to be up close. Its old 3S tech he doesn't know about.

Blocked ken cr. Mk is -4 so you have two frames to punish it. It's definitely possible on stick

I do want to know if keyboard or directional (non-stick) controls actually make multidirectional inputs like fireball motion easier.
They don't make it particularly easier but the speed on which you can input them is way faster than stick
