This is off topic but I want to say thanks for teaching me how to make canopies for my plants. I make them using irrigation tubing and 30% shade cloth. I have been using them for puny plants or new plants to protect them from our treacherous Florida sun. I as well I'm going crazy with this irrigation tubing. So thanks again you're saving my plants.
I am going soon into the garden to work with more of that tubing, I am so glad you love it! This is going to be a super big game changer in my gardens here and don’t worry, I will take you with me to spread the joy 😊❤️ thank you
@@metalrabbit09 I put in the link I order it from eBay I decided on 30% because I do want my plants to be able to take full sun as they get a little older and I didn't want to spoil them too much. The shade cloth is really quite inexpensive and it works wonderfully I used the tubing instead of cutting up placemats which I find a lot easier.
To stretch tubing over a pump piece, I have dipped the tubing into very hot water heated in the microwave. Love all the bird love and gardening tips! Thank you, Robbie!
Hello. Robbie. you look very pretty. Exactly the video I have been waiting for from you Robbie!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Since watching you for a couple of years I now have 5 fountains and the birds love them all!!🥰
SO Excited!!!! One of my baths ( chip/dip dish over a deep bucket) has been discovered by one of my hummingbirds. It's not quite a perfect set up yet because I used a spray head from the kit and I need a larger surface to catch the water, but my little visitor hovered in the center of the spray for close to a minute. Maybe more will try. My baths either have twigs, pebbles, or groves to rest on, but this little lady wanted a 360° shower. Thank you,Robbie, for the brilliant inspiration.
Very good educational video about all the different kinds of pumps. I'm just now looking into ordering my first one because your fountains are so inspiring, i just have to try it!! I'm so excited to made them because i love bird watching and also the sound of water bouncing off rocks, so relaxing!! Thanks for inspiring me!!
Yesterday I put together my own insulated cup fountain. Sadly, I just don’t have enough consistent sun for the solar collector. I really appreciate this video because now I know that I can go and find a plug-in pump that is similar. I had a lot of fun, making my cup fountain. I used an old hydrangea Branch for the perch. I could not find my dad‘s soldering iron. So, I ended up using 35 different drillbits and my Dremel. As long as the sun hits it and it’s fine but it’s so hit and miss that I am going to go with plug-in. Thanks so much. What a great video. What a wonderful find ❤️
Mrs Robbie Have you ever used an old light shade from an old ceiling light. They already have a hole in the middle and a lot of houses from the 40-60 have beautiful shades. Seam like it would make a good bird bath. Just wondering

@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy oh okay. Sounds good. I have no idea how those work. Looks like such a fun project. I just hung up two feeders and a suet. A humming bird feeder and a regular one outside the living room window. So much fun watching the birds. I'm concerned w these house sparrows though. Chasing the chickadees and everything else off. I do have a slingshot... Apparently they're the #1 pest bird because if they get a reliable food source they will go around and kill all the other bird nests. Kick the babies right out. Territory. You can actually 'get rid of them' if u wanted to in most places because they're not native, invasive and killing off the native birds. I'm gonna get a squirrel dome. I might try and melt my own w a torch cuz they're expensive. Then hang fishing line or chain around the edge and hang that dome over the feeder. They don't like flying thru tight spaces. Best solution I found so far. Also getting food they don't like. They don't like domes and don't like fishing line.

Very useful information
The round ones I have purchased look just like those but mine tend to only work if the sun is shining bright on it. It seems to not hold a charge since mine only works during sunshine and that's it. Once the sun goes behind the clouds, mine stops pumping. .
That is how they work, there is not charge, it only works with the sun.
Very good 👍
Which one has solar and rechargable batttery that can be plugged in. That would be cool, so you can use it whenever.
I made a tote bin fountain, so I got the big ones.
Trying to find the pump at 5:09 into the video, it has the glass panel.

For cups and stuff are fine 😊

I would like to have some suggestions for keeping the fountain water clean. Mine are full of algae before the day is over. I don't have the time to clean them every day. I read that a bit of vinegar will help and may try that but I would love suggestions for other methods.
Keep it in the shade, the sun is causing the algae
@@SunshineCountryChickens Good idea except the fountain is solar powered.
@@lyndabuchholz1216 oH IS IT THE KIND THAT THE WHOLE PANEL IS IN THE WATER? yEAH THATS WHY rOBBIE SAYS GET THE ONE WITH THE PANEL ON A WIRE YOU CAN PUT IT IN THE SUN AND LEAVE YOUR FOUNTAIN IN THE SHADE. Sorry for all caps, I wouldnt put anything in the water tho it could be bad for the creatures that drink from it
Awesome!
So funny! 🤣
What is the flow rate you want on the pump? There's 3 options and one is sold out.
If you get one that has an adjustment, you set it for what will work for you whether it’s lower or high 😊❤️
💖👍😎🙂
I remember yu gave us the recipe to feed humming birds. I can not find it. Could someone be so kind to give it to me?
I bought 2 of the floating ones, wish I would've gotten these instead. I will keep it in mind for next year's project. 🫂
Start looking in the Winter for them 😊 cheaper
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy thanks 👍🏻
So did I and I like the ones Robbie is showing
I just received my floating one today. I did use it. Next time I will look for something different.
