Once it's set up, you shouldn't have to adjust much between targets. And even in Arma (or any game where you have to adjust for gravity or wind), you can reasonably wing-it, at the cost of your first few shots being likely misses.
The base game sniping is great as is and way more in depth than any other shooter i know of, the mod is fun if you really like sniping in perticular but as someone who is casual about it and want to experience the combat aspect of the game more this would he just exhausting and unreasonable to use in any sp or mp scenario. The only place i would consider using it is in a dedicated server to such things
You would wonder how much more "relaxed" ArmA can be. You can play koth and be in constant action Or do milsims, where you walk around and plan out more than you actually shoot at close combat enemys. You don´t have a new enemy in front of ur gun every 3 seconds, like you would have in Call of duty ^^ Also, this sniper is modded. Vanilla, you just range find and shoot
Sounds like a personal problem. My unit's mod list is very powerful, I haven't crashed in... years. I have a video on my channel to help get your settings established. Also, only use high quality mods
No wonder my sniper shots miss... yeah I think I'll just forget about trying to snipe in arma when I have to take into the account of temperature hehe😅
People saying Sim games are pointless doesn't know the definition of a video game. I used to play Racing Sims and the thing that i enjoyed the most from the experience is that it gave me a sense of satisfaction and immersion that a casual arcade racing games couldn't give. Most of the time these casual video games only give you fun and entertainment. Say if i were to become a real driver, I'd have to spend a ton of money just to get through the academy alone, not to mention that people often start their career from their early childhood
meanwhile the target is throwing smokes, crouches, then runs, you take the shot at the last second, them he moves again causing your bullet to miss by 3 inchs 😂 then he knows your there and he runs and hides
I mean it's cool to do that all when you're sitting nice and pretty on a range, but sometimes you just need a rangefinder and the correct scope and zero setting.
ace is cool and all heck I remember playing with it in arma 2, will say though pvp was more fun for me so I played a lot of king of the hill and sniped; remember getting 2km+ shoots on occasion.
Would be nice if ACE fucked off the AgTrax and replaced it with the kestrel 5700x (wind meter with ballistic calculator built in and can still pair with the vector)
Or you take a shot and correct accordingly to the impact. The guy might hear the impact but with a suppressor from 1mile away, you likely wont hear the shot.
0:18 he measure distance and bearing (azimuth) to target with range finder from binocular spot later he bring in kestrel (it measure wind speed, temperature, humidity and preassure, newer more expensive version of this IRL have also balistic calculator build in) then he plugs target range, wind speed and direction into atragX (ballistic calculator) on alte 0:42 there are few frames where he checks: temp, humidity and pressure then he proceed to plug it into atrag on 0:56 you can see his fire solution around his cursor (HOLDING) it states: ELEVATION 12,7 (up - if there would be -12,7 then it mean "down") WIND: 0,57L (means that wind + spinn driff sum add up to 0.57L (so we must aim to the left) those values are in MILIRADIANS (MIL's also known as MRAD) typical scope will be able to adjust every 0,1 so 0,57 is impossible to dial into our scope, so he should dial 0,6L) at his range (1154m) it means he is really aiming 14,65 meters above target and 0,7m to the left from 1:00 you can see him dialing in our firing solution into elevation and windage turret
Yeah... because you missed the 2 seconds of the sped up video that showed that he changed the zeroing of the scope. Being able to keep your aim directly on your target is the exact purpose of that whole process
I was never a good sniper, except when it came to sniping moving tanks and or below with nothing but a simple RPG from over 1,2km away. 1,2km was my longest tank kill, well technically not a tank, it was a Mora apc moving at 30km/h ish.

This is why you just be a marksman with an M-14 and an LVPO
Ah yes, the super realistic game which shows you that you arep prone in the top right
The base game sniping is great as is and way more in depth than any other shooter i know of, the mod is fun if you really like sniping in perticular but as someone who is casual about it and want to experience the combat aspect of the game more this would he just exhausting and unreasonable to use in any sp or mp scenario.
The only place i would consider using it is in a dedicated server to such things
man, my shooting in arma 3 at 2300m was 10 times less complicated
Man, 800 meters, front!
Whoa this looks fun, definitely what I want when I sit down to relax a bit
You would wonder how much more "relaxed" ArmA can be.
You can play koth and be in constant action
Or do milsims, where you walk around and plan out more than you actually shoot at close combat enemys.
You don´t have a new enemy in front of ur gun every 3 seconds, like you would have in Call of duty ^^ Also, this sniper is modded. Vanilla, you just range find and shoot
Me: swaps to rangefinder, presses t, then swaps back to scope
Sniper ghost warrior: That's my brother
yeah, and after setting up kestrel and missing your shot, arma crashes because of memory leaks caused by 100 gb modlist
i love this game
Sounds like a personal problem. My unit's mod list is very powerful, I haven't crashed in... years. I have a video on my channel to help get your settings established. Also, only use high quality mods
You can legally plan a VFR cross country flight with less effort than this
Bill Nye the Science Grunt
It's like 5 people would play a game with this ton of information for you to shoot one single target (and miss)
today i learned the vector has a built-in range finder, time to go bind my keybinds again i guess
No wonder my sniper shots miss... yeah I think I'll just forget about trying to snipe in arma when I have to take into the account of temperature hehe😅
Unofficial official military training program
the military uses VBS made by the same people as arma 3
@@TJEvans-cb9yi Cool
Bro using stonehenge with eyeball mk.1
People saying Sim games are pointless doesn't know the definition of a video game. I used to play Racing Sims and the thing that i enjoyed the most from the experience is that it gave me a sense of satisfaction and immersion that a casual arcade racing games couldn't give. Most of the time these casual video games only give you fun and entertainment. Say if i were to become a real driver, I'd have to spend a ton of money just to get through the academy alone, not to mention that people often start their career from their early childhood
This is why you have a spotter
meanwhile the target is throwing smokes, crouches, then runs, you take the shot at the last second, them he moves again causing your bullet to miss by 3 inchs 😂 then he knows your there and he runs and hides
I mean it's cool to do that all when you're sitting nice and pretty on a range, but sometimes you just need a rangefinder and the correct scope and zero setting.
You could have flown an FPV drone there in that time.
you can bind the atragmx and the kestrel to keys for faster switching :D
What is that song's name on the "Sniping in most games" take?
please tell me if you find it
homie i gotchu it’s aria math by c418
@@ModeloBloodReplacement Thank u! 🤝
i wish more games had a sniper team instead of having just having a one man sniper team
Play Arma 3 then. Grab a buddy, join a hardcore milsim unit.
ace is cool and all heck I remember playing with it in arma 2, will say though pvp was more fun for me so I played a lot of king of the hill and sniped; remember getting 2km+ shoots on occasion.
Meth before sniping
I wanted to correct you on math, but on a second thought that you might actually speak from your actual experience, so I won't argue)
Until you find a Nightstalker scope:
Tbh, I was expecting a fail at the end with the 'bruh...' over it.
Would be nice if ACE fucked off the AgTrax and replaced it with the kestrel 5700x (wind meter with ballistic calculator built in and can still pair with the vector)
3-5 business days to line up a shot
How do you get the wind direction in the top left to appear? I swear I have the option enabled in ace, but I still don't see it.
shift+k, or ctrl+g, unsure of which if at all the ones I listed
Shift K
wow so interesting lemme calculate my shot
Or you take a shot and correct accordingly to the impact. The guy might hear the impact but with a suppressor from 1mile away, you likely wont hear the shot.
true that
Don't forget the range card
Are you able to explain briefly how to use the onscreen gauges and such you used to meassure the wind
0:18 he measure distance and bearing (azimuth) to target with range finder from binocular spot
later he bring in kestrel (it measure wind speed, temperature, humidity and preassure, newer more expensive version of this IRL have also balistic calculator build in)
then he plugs target range, wind speed and direction into atragX (ballistic calculator)
on alte 0:42 there are few frames where he checks: temp, humidity and pressure
then he proceed to plug it into atrag
on 0:56 you can see his fire solution around his cursor (HOLDING) it states: ELEVATION 12,7 (up - if there would be -12,7 then it mean "down") WIND: 0,57L (means that wind + spinn driff sum add up to 0.57L (so we must aim to the left) those values are in MILIRADIANS (MIL's also known as MRAD) typical scope will be able to adjust every 0,1 so 0,57 is impossible to dial into our scope, so he should dial 0,6L)
at his range (1154m) it means he is really aiming 14,65 meters above target and 0,7m to the left
from 1:00 you can see him dialing in our firing solution into elevation and windage turret
@@Herezjush wow thats very detailed thank you
thats why snipers are in teams
All of that just to confirm that he indeed had to aim right at the target and not anywhere above and to the side, fantastic.
Yeah... because you missed the 2 seconds of the sped up video that showed that he changed the zeroing of the scope. Being able to keep your aim directly on your target is the exact purpose of that whole process
@@sledgetype0029 Pardon I didn't even look at that.
In the bf4 clip they were only ~100m away
i usually just get their range, start firing, and just hope i get lucky. i ain't doin all that.
Sure, I would love to compile a Gentoo OS for my scope before I can snipe an enemy. Thanks, I will stay in BF4 where I can have actual FUN.
all that for me just to prone and spam q until i get behind a tree with desync to cover my butt
I was never a good sniper, except when it came to sniping moving tanks and or below with nothing but a simple RPG from over 1,2km away. 1,2km was my longest tank kill, well technically not a tank, it was a Mora apc moving at 30km/h ish.
Arma 3 have not bad stock sniping and on KOTH servers sniping is really hard like it is already very hard, but this mode is crazy ngl. Imagine this mode on KOTH
This game is OLD now and nobody realises still. Its so modern idk how to explain
yep 11 years. it has unique mechanics and has tools for modders to really shine. so in that way its modern. the only times you feel this game is old is the graphics and the framerate. Man if arma 4 releases well ill be elated
Arma 3 doesn´t let me play other games in peace.
I shoot at somebody 120 m away in Battle Field, and wonder why i get a "long shot" bonus... :D
Like dude, in Arma I shoot at 6 pixels 600 m away with iron sights xD
"Barrel twist was wrong"
Lol, my kill record in Arma 3 was around 1600 m. It was only once.
PLEASE WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE FIRST SONG
aria math (minecraft ost)
should of showed phantom forces' quickscoping for other games
Might as well join the army and become a sniper irl, or the spotter
That's not the point. Some people like games where you have to think and know things
@@TacticalMetalhead I know
This aint the bugle tryouts.
Let’s be real you could have made the shot with just basic ace wind a range card and a range estimate. 30 seconds easy. Now if your shoot past let’s say 1300 with the gun you had maybe you would use the atax but can’t deny it is fun doing all the math
You _could_ use a weather tracker and a rangefinder and a ballistic calculator and a bunch of boring math while the target sits there
Or you could just lob it and continue having fun
I woulda lost it if bro missed
You guys calculate instead of "feel"?
what in the wind and speed is that
Its because theres a game that arma III is inspired,
its called real life, by the god
surprisingly there was two guys who got into marksmanship due to arma and myself who's ending up into armor crewman due to wasting most of my time playing as a tank crew in arma, still fucking hate Ace though it's annoying as shit
So, like in reality - easier to shoot with atgm or tank shell
