I never knew Brian used to be a bike messenger and I’ve watched a lot of his awesome videos. It really puts in a different perspective how he handles himself in traffic somehow. Anyway, keep going Safa!
You folks at Scott completely outdid yourselves!!! This is my fav video starring SAFA, and the best sponsored cycling video I've ever seen! Brian and Ana Puga, in Mexico City?!??! OMG!!!! You just leap-frogged R****'s media department. The production for this video is out of this freaking world!!! Ana has my absolute fav video of all time w/ Terry B. Plus, I'm a big fan of SAFA's page, I've seen every video twice, and this episode gives him the budget and production crew that he deserves. I've always wanted to see more footage of him in Mexico City!!! Holy shit! Can we get this show on DisneyPlus+?? Please keep making these!!! MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE!!! MAS MAS MAS MAS MAS MAS MAS MAS!!!! Great job production crew!!!! Great job video editor(s)!!! Ana and SAFA I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Loved you sharing your background as a bike messenger , 32 years ago i worked as a messenger in hilly London Town , for a little while only , so i really respect you haven ridden such a long time Safa , rrspect !!
Great vist and ride. Saludos a la paisana desde el istmo oaxaqueño; I miss my CDMX. When I got here, at Oaxaca, I had to quit my rides in the velódrome Agustin Melgar, and Auto, or La Loma, etc. good luck and have a awsome life.
Classic Ajusco-Marquesa loop, I did it a few times, brings back good memories. Indeed, the potholes going down to Xalatlaco are insane. No maintenance in decades in the State of Mexico. I must confess that the best quesadillas AND pan de elote are on the way to the Centro Ceremonial Otomí...
For more wild action of Safa en Ciudad de Mexico, check out his clips with Terry B. Some of the wildest city riding you'll see. Great work as usual on the PR, marketing, and promotion of your brand, it has been a pleasure watching your content with all the creators online. You make dope videos and you make dope bikes.
This is awesome! Another guy here who started following Safa from the videos with Terry B riding in Mexico City a few years ago and then got into road cycling myself. Also the Foil is such a beautiful bike, my god.
Bienvenidos a México cabrones!!!! nice video my friends, amazing to see differents famous cyclings in México, like the SAFA Brian and others like Terry Barenten etc. etc.
Amazing video man! I just started cycling this year and loved it, I can show you one of the best roads in Mexico State! It’s called ruta otomi i it is higher than ajusco with more beautiful views! Best training spot in Mexico State!
Wow, that's like driving your bike on a dedicated motorway? That's crazy, here in Germany that is actually not allowed, the Autobahn is for motorized vehicles only and they even have to be able to drive at least 60km/h by default and even if that wouldn't be the case I would be way too scared to drive my bike, while getting passed by vehicles driving 130km/h+ especially without a dedicated bike lane... 🤯😅
Brian, I loved this one! Unfortunately, the only way I seem to learn about Latin America is by watching vlogs like yours. There seems to be lots of positive energy coming from Latin America.
Knowing that you were a messenger makes me understand the daredevil aspect of your riding. Don’t get me wrong, I see that you take precautions, but your rides are not for the inexperienced or the timid.
Why no lights? It's important, that the guys on the spotlight like you treat safety as a top priority. It's almost like posting a bike video with no helmets. Folks are following your habits! Be a good example! Kudos for great video!
if you ever watched safa bombing mexico city on a breakless bike you'll get that he shouldn't be seen as rolemodel when it comes to riding a bikes. you should recognize him for his intersexual feminism and how he embraces women in the sport, his nuanced and based view on the obvious poor mexico city as well as his kind and nice character paired with ambition and a big love for cycling. fuck bike lights man there is much more important stuff.
@@BeastyBite yeah, you're right, that there are more important things in this video for sure, while I still insist, that they would eventually become null, if someone run over one of them by car because he/she had no light and was not visible enough. Cycling fun and everything beautiful around ends at moment of crashing - true story.
Safa was the reason I got into road cycling and it was the best thing that happened to me in the past couple years.
Same! This dude's videos absolutely changed my life.
Me too
I just started and realized it's been quite awesome tackled 100 miles in one week.
great idea. awesome dude. i love cycling.

Raul Alcala won the young rider classification back in the day. I think he may have been the first Mexican to compete in the Tour.
Welcome SAFA ..cdmx is.your.home and have many fans in this country..and Puga proud of your skills and career..
I always feel welcome in cdmx. Gracias!

Watching safa's fixed gear México city videos is what got me into cycling

I spent some time working in that auld town too. Hardest city to navigate by far.
I enjoy watching Ana ride through the city.....superb bicycle handling.
Such an enjoyable video. Clearly an endearing friendship and so cool to see outer Mexico city. Beautiful. Gnarly descent on that road!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Las quesadillas más grasosas de la marquesa. Felicidades por patrocinar al mejor ciclista, Scott. :)
This is 40 mins away from where I was born, gunning it with my Orbea next time I'm home. Top vid from Safa as per usual 👍🏼
Always good to see dear Anita on the road.

Unfortunately there is long going political dispute between two municipal authorities but for the moment it is nobody’s land.

Yeah, compared to those days this Video is almost too tame. But it is fun to Watch, Good story and history telling.

Nice work, great film, production, theme, and good to hear about Brians' life in el pasado. Gracias
There's Tom Pidcock descending in an LA canyon at 80km/h and then there's this 🤯.
Cool video - nice vibe Safa
I now know why Safa is such an amazing rider.
Love the bike very good road handling.
Hey SAFA I think Ana is definitely deserving of a nice Scott bike 🤗🤣 jkjk. Awesome video brother

I have a descent video from Centro Ceremonial. Just haven't released it yet. Great road indeed.
Much as i loved riding in Mexico and CDMX, the roads can be truly awful :)

Where can I find/purchase the cycling cap of Mexico?
(any link to download the route?)
I was today years old when I learned that Safa's real name is Brian Wagner

be very careful. In mexico people drives very badly and it is common to run over cyclists
Please don't turn drivers against cyclists, ride safe!!
Que pinche feo manejan en el tráfico
A disgrace to cyclists, safa, a man who repeatedly drives dangerously. The same dangerous organization supports this man, SCOTT.
Mimi dont cry kid
I need a long form version of this video. Posted on @SAFA’s page!!! Plz+Ty!!
