Tom knows every trick there is , he just be asking them guys questions to see if they know what they talking about. Hahah. No one knows the construction business better than Tom, Norm , And Rich. Been watching them for years.
I am in that area all the time. I only know of that one street that is the old stone. I was told it is paved from left over ships ballast stone from colonial days 1700- 1800. I drove down it once in a 1996 Ford Taurus. Yes ROUGH!! That said all the streets are rough from traffic, heat, flooding and paving over the old streets.

What are the different trades for each of the different people on this show? I know that Richard the bald guy is the "Plumber" but what trade is "Kevin O'Connor"? It would be nice if there was an episode where each of the different people could talk a little bit about their trades and why they love their trade and how they got into it? A little bit of history of each of them and what they want the next generation to learn and understand about the importance of why these skills are so important? Maybe each personality could build a project that represents their trade-in detail? Something that would be a good hour-long? "PLEASE"? I forgot to ask as well, "How much of other people's trades do you need to know to do your job"? For example if you are a plumber what other trades such as an electrician do you have to know to do your job properly? The other thing that would be cool is that with the same show it would be nice if you each did a project where you would have to do the other guy's job and have to see how far you could do the project as if that was your trade? Such as the electrician would have to do the plumber's job and each of you would have to do each and everyone's job? This would mean each and every one of you would have done each of your jobs to show younger generations how important it is to understand and know what each person knows and respects the other person's skill and job?
While these episodes are old, this is the first time they have been uploaded to their YT channel because not everyone watches them on PBS when the episodes are new.
@@bengt_axle Actually they did do new episodes, they were in the middle of doing a new season when the Covid outbreak happened but were eventually able to resume. While I haven't kept up with new seasons, I did catch one or two new episodes about 2-3 months ago and they were all wearing masks.
I LOVED that plaster guy. SUPER laid back tone, very clear about what is going on. Would love to see him as a longer term host.
I concur. And it didn't sound forced, just educational.
I was frustrated when he tried to make his PVA bonding agent sound fancy. It’s watered down wood glue. That’s all it is.
He felt like Bob Ross but for plaster! just super chill vibes!

Working on buildings as old as that makes me think of the men and the processes used to build those buildings.
The men back in the day were better craftsman cause the technology wasn’t there for them to b lazy. Cheers!!

Nice cobblestone street.
Man, that road in the intro. I can't even imagine driving on that. Are there a lot of streets like that in Charleston?

20:38 what the hell is a pergler? 😂
It’s a burglar not a pergalor.
Its a pergola that's located in New England....
Anybody else ever watch these episodes and have seen like 50% of it already from watching the short how to videos?
Nice work.
5:52 Get up there easy? Except for that PVC pipe reducing the space of the hole.
How did you all deal with the vapor barrier with both houses?
There’s already rot going on in that trunk!!
@@Kevin-mp5of the moneys in the detail..
What is a “plumbers lament”?
Something that plumbers gripe about.
There’s that US education shining through! 👍🏾USA! USA!
I would like to know if Tom or any of the other crew ever made a mistake, and what they had to do fix it❓
Mike looks like Gavin Mcinnes.
I wish I could afford a couple weeks of Mr Silva's time.
In the intro is that someone actually working in the trench below the backhoe bucket?
Do you work for OSHA or are you aspiring to be president of a home owner's association...?

Check out TOH Clips channel for the first appearances of all these guys. Kevin was originally on the show as a homeowner!
There is, you’re just too dumb and/or lazy to look for them
Why does this channel re-upload stuff so often?
Can’t do new episodes with covid-19 still going on.
for people looking for advice on a specific project they upload the segments and then they upload the whole episode for those who want to watch that.
