- New To The Apex Fleet! Mercedes AMG GT! Let's Detail, Correct, Protect It!! n this video, I review the newest addition to the Apex Fleet of toy cars. The Mercedes-AMG GT is a series of 2-door sports cars produced by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG. The car was introduced on 9 September 2014 and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show.[1] While not directly replacing the SLS AMG (competing in a different segment), it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in two variants (GT and GT S) in March 2015, while a GT3 racing variant of the car was introduced in 2015. A high performance variant called the GT R was introduced in 2016. A GT4 racing variant, targeted at semi-professional drivers and based on the GT R variant, was introduced in 2017. In 2021, a new variant called the AMG GT Black Series was released. All variants are assembled at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, Germany. Time to come up with a plan to detail it, correct the paint, and protect it from bumper to bumper.....inside out!

How would YOU explain the difference between a Sportscar and Super car?
One cost money and other cost MORE money which people dont have now a days.
A sportscar is easier to insure and can be driven every day. A supercar is expensive to insure and tend to be high maintenance.

A sports car is a everyday driver that can go fast. Materials and finishes can be subjective. A super car is engineered and designed to be the fastest and lightest in every aspect using the best materials every where.
Would it be possible to do a video road trip with this Mercedes please. I enjoy those drives in your previous videos.

This is definitely a supercar based of its racing counterparts. It regularly tops pole positions racing against Ferraris and Lambos

Love this series! Great buy buddy. Question , what will you go with , bc1 or bc7….which is preferred? New collinite polish and bc1 gets my vote, topped with bc3. Curious on interior product choice.

Sweet car! Wow. I bet it's fun to drive. I guess I would protect the paint depending how long you plan to keep it. I know you, though Brian, you'll do a multi step correction and PPF the entire car with a layer of ceramic coating. Wheels off coating. I'll be interested in the correction process.

Congratulations on the new hot rod as this motor rocks. The engineering is really cool on this car in my opinion and I like the clean look. Back in the late eighties everyone wanted a Mustang GT but the Mustang LX with the 5.0 was faster and cleaner. With this color I would guess you go for 90% correction followed up with jeweling. This could be a fun car to try new PPF options out too. I will look forward to seeing how you protect this awesome car.

Absolutely beautiful car, I know you will enjoy that thing. I like your videos but if you're doing a video on a stunner like this, spend some money on a local videographer for a few hours to shoot you a professional video, some parts of this one were tough to watch.

Depreciation is your friend. Low mileage rockets just before electric motors ruined all the fun. Brian, I just picked up a wht/saddle 2013 SL63 AMG w/21K mi and 66% discount with folding hardtop to replace my 560sl which was unfortunately totaled this year (owned 30 yrs, same color combo). I must tell you, it is the finest interior on any car I’ve ever been in and chose it over the AMG GT for the elevated comfort level but yours is more striking. I will be watching all your detailing & prep on this vehicle. Curious how you protect the Nappa seats. Definitely ppf front end because MB CC paint is hard but thin and chips easily, not like the single stage thick paint from yesteryear. Great add to the fleet!!! (BTW, I love the MB factory orange peel, preserve)

Brian, I love all Mercedes Benz, so know when I type this, it is just me, and just how I feel, but I do love those cars. With that said, I feel like this one was doing great, and Mercedes realized they ran out of money (your bean counters so to speak). So, they stopped where they were. I used to say that about the old Cadillacs. I think it was the Deville? Long front, long passenger area, then boom.. a tiny trunk.
Goonzquad bought the same car, but theirs is a 2019, I think. They buy cars that are wrecked and rebuild them.
Good luck with your new set of wheels. Remember not to race to the state troopers! They hate losing.
