Just know that, so you can sleep better at night, record like 4 matches and, if they are all bad, doesn't matter to us because if the games are bad then we get a little self-esteem boost knowing that, not all the games are good, even for someone with 11k hrs in wt. 2nd thing is that this is a "fan looking at the celebrity and wondering why they can't be that good and why they always loose" / "as the celebrity I have to make myself look the best I can so people don't think I'm a loser and stop looking up to me (watching your vids)" situation. So you dont have to only put your good games, you -can- *should* put some bad games in too because it becomes a win-win. Hope you doin good!
I'd still watch you even if you'd average 1 kill per game. The reason i am watching your videos is not to see a 15 kill game. I'm here because you're a great entertainer. I often go on youtube to watch videos when i'm bored or depressed and watching your videos always makes me feel a bit better. I really don't understand the pressure you youtubers set on yourself. We don't watch you to see you get high kill games. We watch you because we love watching you have fun. I have said the same thing to Turny , Justin and other WT players. Play for fun and not trying to be the best. We don't care if you spawn in and die instantly. This happens to us aswell. Noone benefits from our favorite UA-camrs getting burnt out.

Exactly, not a WT streamer but a WoT streamer who had this realisation a while ago too. Iyouxin, is so much more entertaining when he's fucking around in random games that when he's getting 10-12 kills and tryharding. Same goes for you bawz
I still enjoy watching WT content but find the game horrendously bad. Literally like 70% of my games are full uptiers and it's absolutely not fun playing 300 games getting almost no experience because your team folds immediately and your vehicle has no upgrades lol.

As someone who's stopped playing WarThunder (oh how my mental health has improved!), all I can say is that we don't watch your videos fore massive kill-streaks or anything like that. We watch them because we enjoy you and your personality.
I didn't play for 2 years until a few weeks ago and had to stop again due to it really not being good for my mental health. I had other issues at the time like depression but WT really wasn't helping at times. I currently have it uninstalled on my computer (still have my account though) because I could feel myself slipping into it becoming almost like a job again rather than a pastime. I will play it again soon but its always good to step away and have a break from it.
i'm the exact opposite of you, i started playing and grinding again because my mental health got worse. it does help in a way but def not enough, it just helps me kept my mind off of things i don't wanna think about or deal about for the time being.
Honestly this is the best way bawz, for 2 reasons. 1. Less pressure on yourself to get that god game. 2. Shows what the vehicle is actually like, and gives a actually decent view of what the vehicle is capable of on average

Always remember that the super good youtuber going "NOOOOOOO" after a big screwup/totally unfair death out of nowhere is both very entertaining and pretty cathartic to viewers who are also WT players - after all, that's what our games tend to be like :D

Something I'm finding in life is that as someone who has a lot of mental blocks about getting stuff done, removing as many hurdles between where you are and where you want to be is super helpful. It's nice seeing youtubers playing the game and showing us the not so great games you all have. It reminds the rest of us that some youtubers aren't these untouchable gods that the enemy can't win against. I have run into youtubers a few times in game and when I see them on the enemy team I just instinctively go "yea we've already lost". It's no fun seeing certain players, youtubers or not, and just feeling that the match is a waste of time. Plus, it's nice to see you enjoying yourself playing, not wearing yourself down sweating for those 20 kill games.
Hi Odd, I usually watch your videos because of how nice you are, I understand the concern of wanting to make mind blowing videos but the truth is that kind of mentality usually wears content creators down, I follow youtubers who stopped making videos because of how stressful it was for them to have a perfect quality standard and that's really sad. I thought I was the only one who gets mad the more I play I think that as the initial dopamine level decreases, it's easier to get frustrated. But I find it hard to stop playing when I have several bad games, something inside me says "play another match, maybe this is the good one, I need a victory to leave in peace" I'll be more aware of this in the future and stop earlier. honestly seeing youtubers have games that are 1 kill deaths and rage quit is always refreshing because it lets us know it happens to everyone and we're not just cursed
We appreciate and understand the vibe, Odd. Even for those of us who aren't making content, it's easy to get into a feeling of having to get that "great" game to be satisfied, even at the expense of enjoying it. FWIW I, and I'm sure others, really enjoy the more casual sort of gameplay, even if it's not the most thrilling. There's countless War Thunder CCs out there to watch. We're here because we enjoy watching you play! The more, the better. Especially if that comes with less frustrated (and hopefully happier) Odd at the helm! And hell, if nothing else, that "first however many games" sort of thing probably gives folks a better idea of what to expect from most tanks anyway, so it's not like you're less informative that way.
I really want a compilation video of a lot of these games that are bad. There’s something to learn from bad games and it also shows that it’s normal to have bad games when you overplay and get frustrated.
As a new player I appreciate learning from mistakes. I'd rather watch a rough match with mistakes than a perfect match with a nuke every round. It also helps me learn when you mention what not to do and such.
Don't go burning yourself out for our entertainment, Odd. Can't speak for everyone of course, but I know I'd rather you enjoyed yourself and went about things in a way you enjoy rather than jumping through impossible hoops for some mythical perfect game that we all know doesn't really exist. It's great to see that you have "Those matches" just like everybody else Odd. Keep your fun in the game...I've found myself enjoying it a lot since I just gave up trying to be 'super-good' at this game. I'm truly addicted and have been for almost a full decade. I'm still having fun even though my stats are in the dirt. I'm just not that good and I'm just fine with it.
As a long-time player, I love seeing youtubers just playing. While it's okay to seek perfection, not having the perfect video is just as good, and I feel that applies to more people in the audience. It also helps when you don't feel pressure to get the best games in it, and I've definitely felt it even with more casual play myself. On another note, this thing is pretty good, even in an uptier. I did manage to squeak a nuke out with it, but it's definitely not the best vehicle to go for a perfect game in a video like this.

In that last match, when you couldn't shoot through that window, I have noticed at some point that Gaijin made some changes to lightly constructed buildings that shells used to easily go through (like the houses in the Japan map) to make it so they stopped shells. When they did that, it also screwed up the hit boxes on some buildings that had walls that would stop shells, but had open windows that you could shoot through.
like always, this was just an awesome video. already the first game with the tense fight in front of the enemy spawn was pure gold to watch! i really dont get why anyone would comment in such ways other then to promote their ego or that they have no actual idea of the gameplay... and for my part, i didnt came here for a one in a million insane soloplay, but for the skill you provide - when you tell why and how u approach a situation i sometimes get it, but most of the times im just stumbled how the fights turn out. probably same as ur enemies xD and that basically what makes it very entertaining... imo dont let this stuff get to you, enjoy all the positivity instead :)

2 birds with 1 stone possible solution here. Keep the raw 3 or 4 game concept rolling, then when you get that odd game of insanely strong performances you can set that as its own upload. This way you keep easier tabs on publishing content you and your audience are happy with. something i have learned in my 25+ years of online gaming is you cant control how good or bad your team is if you are a solo player meaning that controlling the outcome of a game is out of your hands most of the time and forgetting this can cause a lot of frustration and anger

I had about 11k games in WoT over 8-9 years. By the end everything about it was winding me up. After one particularly shite Saturday evening about 3 years ago I had just had enough. Hit alt+f4. Uninstalled. Never looked back because I just wasn't having fun. Don't let yourself get that far down the track, just play for fun not a perfect game. Watching you play WT is brilliant because you have some amazing skills. Even an off game is more that most players could expect to do on their best day!

We all know you work very hard around life to bring us exciting videos (Even when the snail cannot be described as doing the same to bring players new content) and we appreciate all that you have to offer. Don't ever feel afraid to give us updates on how the videos are coming along or if you're facing challenges outside of War Thunder and need to step away for a bit. Good stuff, man. Something I'm finding in life is that as someone who has a lot of mental blocks about getting stuff done, removing as many hurdles between where you are and where you want to be is super helpful. So I can fully appreciate just going back to showing whatever may happen in the first few matches in order to get videos out more efficiently.

It's nice seeing youtubers playing the game and showing us the not so great games you all have. It reminds the rest of us that some youtubers aren't these untouchable gods that the enemy can't win against. I have run into youtubers a few times in game and when I see them on the enemy team I just instinctively go "yea we've already lost". It's no fun seeing certain players, youtubers or not, and just feeling that the match is a waste of time. Plus, it's nice to see you enjoying yourself playing, not wearing yourself down sweating for those 20 kill games.
Hi Odd, I usually watch your videos because of how nice you are, I understand the concern of wanting to make mind blowing videos but the truth is that kind of mentality usually wears content creators down, I follow youtubers who stopped making videos because of how stressful it was for them to have a perfect quality standard and that's really sad. I don't miss a single one of your videos, I have a really good time, especially because it helps me practice my English. People who join the channel will realize that you are very good at the game, so you better try to enjoy the games and the community, we'll be here :)

I would most likely watch you go on a hike somewhere, chatting about life in the video and still very much enjoy your content and you as a personality. In the same way I guess you used to watch Phly to lighten up your mood every morning, I find I come here mostly because I love your accent and cheerfulness. While I guess you being good at the game is also part of it, your car channel for example was also something that I found very engaging for example.
Like I think youve realised and others have very much pointed out as well: Its you enjoying yourself that makes your videos fun to watch, not necessarily how much success you have doing the thing youre doing.

I think that as the initial dopamine level decreases, it's easier to get frustrated. But I find it hard to stop playing when I have several bad games, something inside me says "play another match, maybe this is the good one, I need a victory to leave in peace"

As a bunch of have said we love watching you for your hilarious commentary and game play anyone that expects perfect games every upload doesnt understand life isnt perfect so how can a game always be perfect
honestly seeing youtubers have games that are 1 kill deaths and rage quit is always refreshing because it lets us know it happens to everyone and we're not just cursed
We appreciate and understand the vibe, Odd. Even for those of us who aren't making content, it's easy to get into a feeling of having to get that "great" game to be satisfied, even at the expense of enjoying it.
FWIW I, and I'm sure others, really enjoy the more casual sort of gameplay, even if it's not the most thrilling. There's countless War Thunder CCs out there to watch. We're here because we enjoy watching you play! The more, the better. Especially if that comes with less frustrated (and hopefully happier) Odd at the helm! And hell, if nothing else, that "first however many games" sort of thing probably gives folks a better idea of what to expect from most tanks anyway, so it's not like you're less informative that way.

I really want a compilation video of a lot of these games that are bad. There’s something to learn from bad games and it also shows that it’s normal to have bad games when you overplay and get frustrated.
As a new player I appreciate learning from mistakes. I'd rather watch a rough match with mistakes than a perfect match with a nuke every round. It also helps me learn when you mention what not to do and such.
Don't go burning yourself out for our entertainment, Odd. Can't speak for everyone of course, but I know I'd rather you enjoyed yourself and went about things in a way you enjoy rather than jumping through impossible hoops for some mythical perfect game that we all know doesn't really exist. You do a good job and you're a very entertaining guy, and I hope you know how many of us love watching your videos because of you more than any gameplay you put in.

I originally liked your channel because while I assumed you were way better then me (I've only got 4500 hours), that you still had some terrible games like I do. It felt more real and honest that you dealt with the same sometimes terrible matches in WT. I'm glad to hear you're going back to that.

It's great to see that you have "Those matches" just like everybody else Odd. Keep your fun in the game...I've found myself enjoying it a lot since I just gave up trying to be 'super-good' at this game. I'm truly addicted and have been for almost a full decade. I'm still having fun even though my stats are in the dirt. I'm just not that good and I'm just fine with it.
As a long-time player, I love seeing youtubers just playing. While it's okay to seek perfection, not having the perfect video is just as good, and I feel that applies to more people in the audience. It also helps when you don't feel pressure to get the best games in it, and I've definitely felt it even with more casual play myself.
On another note, this thing is pretty good, even in an uptier. I did manage to squeak a nuke out with it, but it's definitely not the best vehicle to go for a perfect game in a video like this.

In that last match, when you couldn't shoot through that window, I have noticed at some point that Gaijin made some changes to lightly constructed buildings that shells used to easily go through (like the houses in the Japan map) to make it so they stopped shells. When they did that, it also screwed up the hit boxes on some buildings that had walls that would stop shells, but had open windows that you could shoot through.
like always, this was just an awesome video. already the first game with the tense fight in front of the enemy spawn was pure gold to watch!
i really dont get why anyone would comment in such ways other then to promote their ego or that they have no actual idea of the gameplay...
and for my part, i didnt came here for a one in a million insane soloplay, but for the skill you provide - when you tell why and how u approach a situation i sometimes get it, but most of the times im just stumbled how the fights turn out. probably same as ur enemies xD
and that basically what makes it very entertaining... imo

2 birds with 1 stone possible solution here. Keep the raw 3 or 4 game concept rolling, then when you get that odd game of insanely strong performances you can set that as its own upload. This way you keep easier tabs on publishing content you and your audience are happy with. Either way, i never watch war thunder youtubers for high kill games, i do it purely for the personality they bring to the content. Stay positive bawz

something i have learned in my 25+ years of online gaming is you cant control how good or bad your team is if you are a solo player meaning that controlling the outcome of a game is out of your hands most of the time and forgetting this can cause a lot of frustration and anger

I had about 11k games in WoT over 8-9 years. By the end everything about it was winding me up. After one particularly shite Saturday evening about 3 years ago I had just had enough. Hit alt+f4. Uninstalled. Never looked back because I just wasn't having fun.
Don't let yourself get that far down the track, just play for fun not a perfect game.
