How can anyone accuse anyone who goes out every day looking for stuff to sell. You find it, pay for it, clean it, catalog it, store it and post it for sale. The time and energy you put in is priceless no store could afford your wages on what you do. Don’t understand how can anyone begrudge you. You work very, very hard and you are not taking anything from anyone who can also do what you do. I truly admire you, so don’t let anyone put you down or make you feel guilty. Keep getting what’s yours 😊

yes, it takes a loooot of work to get the item, clean, find info, posted, etc. etc...but what bothers me the most is how ebay, etsy, amazon , etc, they charge now an arm and a leg on fees....which takes about 25 percent of the final value...that my friend is highway robbery specially when they are there waiting for the money to role, no support when one seller is scammed, no real help when u really need it and they are a pain in the rear when they come up with issues in your listings and changing the policies and rules every two months or so....

The 7 branch candlesticks are called Menorahs which are used for Shabbat. The nine branch candlesticks are called Hanukkah candlesticks used during Hanukkah. I think the two are just trinkets though. The door ornament you were referring to is called a Mezuzah.

@@chrisrogers8033 You're talking about the tradition, I'm talking about the Menorah ABBA told Moshe to make and that was the one candelabra with 7 candle cups. As for the 9 branches, that candelabra is used symbolically because of the Maccabean revolt. I was just trying to keep to what's in the Scriptures in describing them although the 9 branch Menorah was never mentioned in the Word but is in Maccabees.

The made in Israel piece is not a Mezuzzah, as you speculated and as someone else suggested here. It is a just a decorative piece depicting a candle holder. A Mezuzzah, the thing that hangs on the doorpost, is usually a rectangular shaped box with a scroll inside of it.

Soak the burned pot in water with salt in it. The salt will help you bring that carbon right up. Leave it for a few hours, wipe it, put more salt and water in it, let it set for a few hours, wipe it. You may have to do it a few times, but the results are really good.

The Le Crusuet pan is easy to clean, since enamel is glass! Cook white distilled vinegar in it. Or use a baking soda paste! Or soak it in a bucket of hot water with a dishwasher tablet dissolved in the water!
And remember, like dissolves like! So baked on grease comes off if you cook more grease in the pan. Coarse salt works as a good scrubber. Ammonia is a good solution to soak with. And Tide works well. Vinegar is a mild acid so soaking things might take days or even weeks but the dirt will go--- eventually.
Plus wash soda, for laundry, is great for removing grease ftom cloths, and anything else, too.
But I would cook the pan in a stock pot with white distilled vinegar! If you have the lid that pan is $225 new, but it should last a lifetime if not abused!
You can also boil water and lots of citrus peels--- the crude will disolve.
Just buy the pan as is and sell it as is.
I'll buy it that way. Folks have forgotten how to clean things!
If worse came to worst you could use oven cleaner on it.
And use borax, it makes soap work better! Borax is a water softener!
Or cook Coke in the pan. Coke is great to clean with--- even toilets! It's very acidic. Makes you wonder what it does to your insides, doesn't it!
    Good luck!

Both worked with Grant Wood in the 1930s in Iowa. I really loved John's work. He was in late 80s when I first met him. Both lived well into their 90s before passing.

If you have any pots that get burnt in a pan you can just cover the burnt places and not the entire bottom. Hope this helps w/your next thrift trip. Blessings Always

What an AMAZING Goodwill!!! The tiki glass is from Epcot, I found 2 of them (on 2 different occasions) and gave them to my daughter who collects Disney items.

Brown “Swedish” items are vintage electrical insulators. They serve a similar purpose to the more common green glass insulators commonly collected, which is to keep electric current from arcing and shorting out as it travels down the old power lines or transmitting antennas. I have several from a transmitting facility I used to oversea in Yosemite, Japan. They are typically marked by rated capacity and maker, often with a logo.

Hello Brian. I have found a large soft blue colored porcelain? One. I keep it in my yard to guide the hose. My other half surely can't run it over. Lol I also have the regular large brown ones used for same purpose. I would absolutley LOVE to get my hands on a few of the humongous clear ones they use now a days on the high power metal poles. Any ideas as to where to find them? This is kajiracherries see above comments to return my comment please.❤

Last month I was able to drive the 5 hour trek to PA and I will say that PA has the BEST goodwills/thrift stores.
If you can make it to PA I insist visiting the thrift stores there!

The brown ceramic set looks like Block & Tackle Pulley for sail boats. You run the ropes thru and around them to lift and lower sails. Some are very spendy. I have 3 Wood ones.

The wooden spoon holder, I literally just bought before Christmas. I upcycled it and turned it into an advent calendar. I hung little bags with the numbers to count down to Christmas. I was thinking it could be good all year round as well for a goal tracker where you can count down for other things and will keep it in my office.

I think you thought the little piece from Israel was a Mezuzah but that's just a decorative wall piece. Mezuzah's are rectangular and have a scroll, they're hung on the molding of a door.

If the Le Creuset is cheap enough and you see it again, try boiling water with baking soda and then a rock salt scrub - I've had excellent luck saving burnt pans with that method!

Just found your channel! And I love it!! Your goodwills are so full of interesting items I think those big brown things are transformer insulator things from electric lines. Cool industrial pieces that would account for the scratches and signs of use. They could be repurposed to bookends, small plant stands, or candleholders. They do have great lines. Minimalist MCM vibes. Thank you, looking forward to more thrifting adventures on your channel!

There is a difference in quality of clothing - because of the heat, we seem to have more casual style - even for professional business people.
