Its funny the workd we live in today any criticism is deemed hate and youtubers comment only when they get praise but when someone highlights a deficiency they ignore it or call it hate themselves. How anyone will grow and better themselves is beyond me when all they looking for is praise

People aren't pointing out deficiencies or giving him constructive criticism, they're giving opinions of what they like and don't like. In all actuality, he did a great job on the style he wanted, people saying what they don't like is not constructive criticism. I've been a barber for 13 years, I know the style he was going for and he nailed it. Doesn't mean everybody has to like it.

The fade on both sides don’t match, nor is the height/length of the beard sitting symmetrical. And it’s not because his hair grows like that, it’s because he messed up, plain and simple.

@@BabyTua Go ask your girlfriend/wife. They tend to prefer a well maintained guy, thus not a guy with a forest on his chin that goes everywhere and nowhere, but a guy that either trims it nicely or shaves clean. His end look is clean. Could be a guy on a male model cover with that trim + face.

I think it was just the fade that ruined the final look. It's too harsh/not faded well, I've done the same because fading your own beard can be really tricky when it's at a bigger size. I think if you did this look again without the fade, it'd be good 👍

Bro I went to a barber an he made my beard look ridiculous. Shaved it all off, that was 2 years ago. Been using this video ever since. Bro turned me into a whole chad (along with the gym). Much appreciated.
before and after both look good. Just different styles. Sometimes I let it grow out and keep it a little upkept and then I go more refined and shorter.. Great thing with a good beard is you can always switch it up... negatives comments come from those without the follicles to grow one lol

Did this yesterday and was lowkey scared but my shit turned out crispy af my only advice is instead of starting at the jawbone for the bottom line go just above your Adam’s apple then Work your way around it leaves a lil room for error and you can gauge the shape easier 🔥🔥🔥 appreciate you homie
Actually garteful for this kind of help. I always trimmed the beard myself but it was never looking any good. Through your video I found out why; I never did the jawline thing (the trimming step you did last) to somewhat shape the bear so I always caused the hair from the neck to cause problems while styling the beard. Thank you very much, I really needed this video.

I have a pretty long beard, 6-7”. But over the last couple years my neckline has creeped too far up my neck to my jawline. Any advice on repairing it? Should I just start over or maybe let it grow in and catch up 🤷🏻♂️

Never had money to go to the barbershop so always learned to do a diy skinfade haircut myself and style my own beard feels great and independant now tho
You have a solid beard, very similar to mine. I want the under part of my beard to look like yours with the neck line and defined shape, but afraid to cut it myself. I'll just have my barber do it, I just don't know when that'll be lol

I prefer to keep a big beard but it was really nice after the trim as well! Great work!

PSGamerz yes exactly! I do a beard fade maybe once or every other month. Then I grow my beard out and shape it and then if I wanna change it up I’ll do the fade

After paying for barbers for 3 years, and now going 18 months with a HUGE lockdown beard, today I trimmed it by myself for the very first time. Your videos gave me the confidence to do it, and the knowledge to do it right! I give myself a 9/10 compared to my go-to barber, and a 12/10 compared to the few other barbers I've tried. And all I spent was $19 on Wahl trimmers and $17 (huge sale) on some amazing T-Blade trimmers.
My barber announced that after lockdown he was doubling his prices, so this minimal investment paid for itself already. :)

@@77dris it was the best time for us barbers to raise our prices. Business wise it makes sense. People were coming in more than ever after the lockdowns. They were more appreciative and in turn willing to pay more. Inflation is the cause, not the effect.
Could you please name your tools? I need to upgrade my 10 year old corded clippers and detailers to something cordless and modern. But I'm afraid the cordless ones won't be powerful enough for my weekly at home trims and line ups. The ones I have been looking at are the Wahl Lithium Ion 2.0. It's not bad, it is okay, it's just the fade on your right side looks like it can blend more. But your left side which we all see most of the time in the video is good.

How long did it take to grow your beard how it was at the start of the video mate?
So I notice a lot of people are hating on how high the neckline is, how much beard oil he used, the fade etc. Here’s a wild thought, there is no standard on beards or hair like hey this is exactly how it needs to be, no, if that’s how he likes to have it let him do his thing. if his beard is a little aggressive on the shape who cares, if the actual length of the beard covers that neckline what does it matter. if it was all stubble and he did that then it would not look good. Sure it may take away some fullness when looking at it from the side, but from the front it’s still the same. so who cares. not everybody likes their beard to look like a box and have no dimension off the face from the side.
