Lol, the fact that in the first part, the Tenth Doctor is in the New World Theatre thingy around the same time in which Crowley would have also visited with Aziraphale and they're both played by David Tennant, who plays in theatre before moving onto the silver screen- 😂 Not to mention the uncanny similarity to Crowley while he is calling the robot thing "thick"-
you should see the extended 9 to 10 regeneration clip. He gets SO hyperactive and distracted. literally struggling to adjust to his new body and then he gets distracted by a lever he's never seen before
The doctor's pear hatred was so relatable to me, especially as a kid when everyone made fun of me for my food sensitivities and i didn't really know why i was like that.
Same!! I'm really sensitive to squishy foods like Brussels sprouts and I literally CANNOT bring myself to eat them, and I get beraded by elders for not eating my vegetables
David Tennant just looks like he’s having fun all the time in this role. Which, isn’t surprising given he’s said it was his childhood dream to be Doctor Who after watching Tom Baker in the role. It therefore isn’t surprising he’s come back twice since then.
2:00 apparently him saying physics a lot could be him saying a ton of very advanced stuff and the tardis translating it into terms we can understand (a theory I heard somewhere lol)
i’m convinced that in The Shakespeare Code, when the doctor and martha are in the globe theatre and he’s obsessing over the 14 sides, him saying “14, why does it ring a bell?” was added so they could wait and bring him back as the 14th doctor
ten’s mannerisms have always been the most endearing to me. Im arospec so i dont usually get crushes on anyone, let alone fictional characters, but damn if ten doesnt make me stupidly happy to watch :) i love him
I am psychiatrically diagnosed ADHD, and as ADHD I think that people with adhd are somehow attracted to each other. Applying this, it sounds a bit weird, but you can notice when someone is adhd without them telling you so. I was kind of aware that the 10th and 11th generation had those traits from watching Doctor Who, but I didn't expect to find people on UA-cam feeling the same way. Even if their characters are not officially adhd, I think the writers are actually inspired by people who that have adhd.
Absolutely agree, pretty much all my friend group in school ended up being neurodivergent - we tend to unknowingly stick together 😭 and same, I kind of noticed they had ADHD/ASD traits but when someone mentioned on tiktok I rewatched those episodes and the neurodivergent traits seem so obvious 😅
Totally agree! And actually, fun fact, both Clara and Donna have canonically told the Doctor he has ADHD :3 With Donna it was somewhere in the Big Finish audio dramas. 12 made a passing comment in (I believe) the TV episode The Girl Who Died: "Clara says I have attention deficit... something disorder" Edit to add: Also in the audio dramas, 10 himself said: "If there's anything I'm not, it's neurotypical"
Honestly, an alien who doesn't at least have some autistic traits would be pretty weird. Big part of autism is not intuitively understanding social cues, having "different" body language and struggling to adhere to social norms. If non-autistic people went to an alien planet, they'd probably meet those criteria by the alien's standards too...
I love that the not liking pears transends regeneration, like have you seen 12's regeneration speech? I can't remember seeing 11 talking about pears, but I can assume that that is a universal thing between at least the three of tyhem if not every Doctor.
I love when 12 mentioned this, which he actually did twice, once during regeneration, but the first time was to Clara as the memory wipe was taking effect... I was in tears, then suddenly he mentions the pear thing and my brain short circuits into wanting to laugh, especially since, from what I remember, the pear thing was actually from an outtake... so it's like a little easter egg for only the most observant and obsessed of us😂
Ten was definitely the most impulsive out of all the doctors, it’s both his biggest flaw and what lands him in half the situations he ends up in (and this is why I relate to him hard 😭)
I reckon that 10 is AuDHD and 11 is Autistic (maybe ADHD). Both are very neurodivergent coded but I think 10 presents more ADHD and 11 more autism (it can happen when people have both but the symptoms of one are way stronger)
@@ElizabethMidfordHatesCops I don’t remember enough of the movie, but whenever I see clips of the Eighth Doctor, he personifies childlike JOY!! Very Neurodivergent!🥰
@@lisa_wistfulone7957 I watch the movie very very frequently. Once it's in my DVD player it's gonna be played every night for a week straight. Yes. Every second Eight is on screen it is neurodivergent in one way or the next. And then you get into the audio adventured! Like damn! Can only imagine what he's like in the novels.
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! screams as 10 and Rose gets yeeted across the TARDIS consol. That was fun.
Anyone else realise at 2:55 when he puts the jam on his finger there is only one finger there but then after it cuts back from rose at 2:58 there are 2 fingers
*Fry squinting meme* What if...teen me didn't just act like that because they wanted to be Ten, but actually related to Ten because they were already acting like that and saw a ND friend in him? (mind blown from recently coming to understand my neurodivergence)
Being Nerodivergent is a superpower in its self. Seeing the world in ways that other people don't even dream of! Hyperactive boost does everyone the world of good I recon. Oh I love it when I get all hyperactive.
Not to miss the point of the video entirely (but here I go), why is the aspect ratio the way it is? The series was filmed in wide screen but this is more like (or is?) 4:3. But it was also uploaded a month ago and not 14 years ago. Was that a deliberate choice for a particular reason?
he certainly is autistic-coded (like queer coded, but with autism); he belongs in a certain group of charcaters that are autistic, but it's not officialy said - like BBC's Sherlock, Hannibal's Will Graham, Broen's Saga Norren or Parks and Recreations' Ron Swanson
Like the other person said he definetly is coded and or shows many signs of being neurodivergent! If you want to argue or believe that he isn’t that’s fine, but there is definitely a lot of subtext and outright media that calls out the neurodivergent tendencies and behavior of the doctor. Also a lot of people who may relate to him or have him as a favorite character might like to head canon that he is, or find comfort in a character they really like being simalar to them! There can be many different interpretations of his behavior and character, but there are many people who agree that he’s autistic.

That's potentially genius... I have decided, that is now canon 😂
Probably. Makes sense actually 😊

arospec too!! And I agree, 10 (especially in s2) is one of the happiest doctors

I feel like this is what happens when "How do we, the studio, make a weird character?" And then you have Autism.

I don't know why but the delivery of "and so's your da" at 2:30 kills me every time
It's just so unnecessarily extra and I love it.

Came to watch some Doctor Who clips, ended up getting a diagnosis.

The physics clip speaks to my soul
1:56 wasn’t this the TARDIS translating what the doctor was saying into what the children would understand, which was physics?
It's worth noting it's not Echolalia - that's repeating what someone else has said. Repeating what you have said is called Palilalia
Echolalia can also be repeating phrases you've thought of in your head
He's so me coded omg
I did not know I needed this. Thank you! 💙💙
I have autism and I also became the first person with that condition to swim the English Channel!
That's awesome! Congrats on the staggering physical feat!

It's from the episode The Shakespeare Code :)

These are all describing me wth??
The Doctor only acts like this because that’s how Time Lords are.
Im pretty sure that hes super neurodivergent even by timelord standards

I'm going to do a 13th Dr audhd compilation soon, when I've rewatched her episodes :)

AuDHD = Autism and ADHD
