Same - I play 30 Instruments in High School 🏫. But mainly play the Alto Sax 🎷 and Piano 🎹. I have been learning instruments since 6th Grade all the From now which I am going to be a Junior this coming up year. And yes this is why I don’t want to play mallet percussion especially during Marching season. I like to compose this kind of music 🎶. Which is hard to get because here in the south we don’t do drum Corps or Bugle Corps at all . We just do Marching Band and Concert Band .
the technique is great, but what the hell is the point for all this wasted technique?. this is just meaningless mallet masturbation. there is nothing memorable or interesting musically going on here. all that skill is wasted on a nothing burger of musical content. when are people going to realize that today's drum corps is all "the emperor has no clothes?"
