Christoph Sietzen What malllets are you usi n g for this piece?
Li Bo The Bogdan Bacanu Signature Series by Adams. Greetings!
Christoph Sietzen A Tabla has also been used in the track, right?
Christoph Sietzen It's the song a movie?
Would you mind telling me what model instrument you played this on because that is a beautiful instrument?
This is a musical performance, but also a visual and a dancing performance. So physical. This guy implies his body into the music he is producing. Breathtaking.
yeah you get it.
I play this For my 5 month old son whenever he’s fussy and nothing seems to work. He loves this and it works every single time
Great to hear;)
Get him a baby Fisher Price xylophone or touch button sound board toy and see if you've sprouted a future musician.
Its amazing that children are far more open to foreign sounds - precisely because everything is foreign. Musical identify is forged very early in life, for most it begins around age three and parallels the development of language
as a kid they made them that's what I think of too
Im a percussionist who loves playing mallet instruments, and I've been listening to this piece repeatedly for a few years now. This is the level of mastery I strive to one day achieve. You have really been an inspiration to me, always making me want to be better.
That’s great to hear, thank you!
It keeps coming up in my feed and I listen and watch every time as well. Mastery indeed. Such respect (and a little crush too, sadly) 😮
Just insane. Memorizing the score, staying on meter, never missing a note, 2-hands/4 variable-intermittent touch-points, and this is the short version.
Thank you;)
❤he is very skilled and talented!
I was just thinking... What kind of brain🧠 do you need to do that? Exceptional Talent🏆
@@PastorIhaza Legit 0 talent involved. hard work and dedication to get to that skill level. Absolutely insane playing
@SkellyBonz I would have to disagree. There are many people with skills but no talent.... Talent is being great with your skills...😊Just saying.... Awesome, either way🤩
Can you imagine how many tickets he would win playing wack-a-mole at Chuck E Cheese! 😆
10000000000000000000000
ROFLMBO!!!! Oh my gosh, thank you so much!!! That killed me!! 🤣🤣🤣
Good one WJ, made me chuckle ,... I needed that...
Chuck E cheeeeeeeez
Except that wack-a-mole is random and this man has studied/memorized his music.
Amazing talent. I can't imagine how much he practices every day.
The man moved like a powerful dancer and is a musical master! Very impressive! 💖
Thank you 🙏
It's like wooden raindrops of harmony falling into my ears
felt that tyy beezy
I am from Indonesia, South East Asia, and this modified instrument were came from us. In Indonesia we have Gamelan which from metal, and having Angklung type of Xylophone which operated by knocking like this and made from Bamboo.
Similar instruments are known around the world. Gamelan instruments use totally different musical scales than these 12-tone instruments.
Honestly percussionists don’t get enough love for what we do the wind players are all like “you can see your notes and you don’t have to use your breath” like bro this is actually really difficult to master
i think note accuracy on marimba is actually harder than wind instruments
@@lunarbacongrill bro that's the easy part
No, in fact, it's one of the hardest things on marimba. There's pro who produce wrong notes all the time. Go check for this piece for exemple. Sietzen IS practicly the one without wrong note
There is only word for this performance, IMPRESSIVE !
I feel like Im trying to choose my phone's ringtone.
😂 but its badd azz
Represented Indian classical music! Just mind blowing!!
Thank you!
@@ChristophSietzenPercussion still alive bro
The Marimba?
This has my dropped all the way to the floor. This is BEYOND amazing. The shear amount, volume and accuracy of these 16th and tuplet articulations with four mallets requires insane chops. Very very well done and I love the camera work too 😸🎶🎵
I have no idea how he got so much height with barely lifting his arm.
@@someone-yc1pc look carefully, its in the wrist. Its not up and down. Its rotating. Its actually quite an impressive technique and unusual novement.
@@celuiquipeut6527 I’m also a marimba player, I’m familiar with technique, I spend a lot of time perfecting it. It’s still beyond impressive he plays that fast and get the height he has while maintaining proper technique.
@@someone-yc1pc I am a musician but know nothing of marimba. I think i've shown it. Thx for your insight!
What a talent. Both an auditory delight and a visual wonder.
This is my third listen. It only gets better with each play. Fantastic.
すごすぎや…。
神演奏通り越してる。
つか、こんなにクリアでピュアな音、聞いたことないわ。
Urgently peaceful! He is magic, but he won't tell.
He weaves emotion and tribute from his percussion playing
The comfort of his percussion playing is off the charts, and far superior splendor
Electric! And yet it is acoustic, and I mean that as absolutely brilliant! He is taking it to another level from the older greats of the past I feel !
The way my jaw dropped at the beginning
Magnificent and wonderfully executed, Lionel Hampton was the musician to bring this type instrument into center stage...and this young man has raised the bar...
I search for xylophone because I though that was a "funny instrument"
God forgive me, this instrument is freaking insane, I will never make fun of it again
Like, no joke, this person is incredible, I am speechless!!
This is actually a marimba
Thou art forgiven.
funny things can be cool too tjough
@@cityslope7 and a vibraphone
My friend called it as "big xylophone"
Omg the synchrony with the tabla in the back is just so beautiful
Marimba elevated to a new level, incredible!
It was trembling with dramatic songs. Mallet's dynamic dance performance is amazing
Made me feel like i was 8 playing my playstation and running around in either crash or primce of persia. A true artist 🔥
Just discovered this musical genius! Both the composition and the performance left me breathless. I am in a state of speechless awe.
Thank you ☺️
Wow, superb! Done this also 4 mallets but in one marimba in my elementary and high school years, now 52 yo and never played since i got married but no regrets. Love it keep playing by heart boy
It is incredible how easily he can handle the mallettes with fantastic precision and temperament.Congratulations Emmanuel !
Man the tone from that marimba- amazing
man... just the whole thing: what a greatly composed piece, WHAT a performance and what a lovely recording... that really earthy low note right at the end of the very first line, with a bit of reverb on it. just a delight altogether.
I have been practicing tuned percussion and snare drum for 3 years and now in grade 6. Seeing this makes me appreciate the instrument more.
本気で音楽と向き合えるとここまで精魂が込められた音が出せるのかと感心。
En Castellano por favor
That's one of the most amazing keyboard percussion performances I've ever seen,,,
I agree, this is an amazing performance and I find it enchanting to watch. If you would like to find more things like this i would suggest you look up the name Adam Tan on UA-cam.
Same here ... have revisited several times just to hear (& WATCH) that amazing aural & physical coriography! Amazing deeper tones & resonance on that marimba ... what a treat to hear!

What...this guy has 2 brains, or what? One man, FOUR sticks, so precise and beautiful? AMAZING.😀
Wow! What a master musician, I'm just... flabberghasted, blown away!
6 years later and I now get this?!? This was a fucking rush from begining to end. Amazing work!!
There is talent and then there’s skill and you have achieved an incredible level of both
🙏
Humans are amazing. He has a remarkable ability.
Thanks for sharing here.
I almost can't accept how good and technically proficient this is. Also the move from Mixolydian to Phrygian dominant is brilliant.
Ask your doctor before starting Mixolydian.
Two thumbs up for the drummer in the background.
I listen to this piece over & over again as I just love it & also vibraphone is my favorite instrument too. I would love to hear some more of this type of music. Thanks for the great music.
Oh my God!!! Chops for days and amazing musicality. You are one of the finest mallets players I have ever seen or heard in my 70 years. You have an extraordinary gift. I wish you the very best in your pursuits. I guarantee that you will be touching lots of lives . Happy new year
Thank you very much!
The greatest aspirations of mankind- composers and musicians. Thank you!
The splendor of his overwhelming performance is immeasurable and beyond description .
He has the unfathomable ability , skill and technique

C'est juste incroyable et fabuleux à écouter et à voir. Bravo et merci ! 🙏🙏🙏
I think I never saw something more impressive on the marimba. Just insane skills at work here.
This guy. Insane
The dislikes are from people who have never practiced anything in their lives.
I'm not at the point of disliking it, it's obviously an impressive performance. But I think this video would be better without the moving camera shots, IMO they distract from being able to appreciate what he's doing.
The video was chopped into confetti by the video editor. Great playing but obnoxious editing. Christoph - don't do this to your great playing.
This is not so easy. I admire his skills, it is incredible, but I don't like this music, its like musical athletics, but without melody and harmony for me. So should I give like or dislike?
..Or from people who are mach better than the idiot on the video!
Hahahahaha MOUN sa yo...Konsa yo ye... Always négativ people 💔🤭🤢🤧😎. Bad temper 👎👎👎
Bro plays like he’s had 4 hands his entire life 💀💀 This is some crazy skills bro
This is just marvelous! I would think that this is even harder than practicing piano because of the constant fluid motion between the larger keys on this instrument requiring the musician to move around the stage. The music itself is also tremendous with a mischievous tone!
Very impressive, he's taken xylophone to a next level
Marimba
OUTSTANDING!!! So much talent, skill, agility and so obviously in the zone. WOW! ❤️👏👏👏
This instruments are really amazing
I've been playing for 58 yrs musicians like this guy INSPIRE me to quit and never play another note 😁wow
No, pls don’t quit!!;)
I will show your performance to my elementary music students, as they identify these instruments visually and aurally. With Gratitude, ap
Thumbs up from Germany for that 👍🏼😎
For our percussion class we had to find someone who inspired us who was a percussionist and just...wow you have talent on the mallet instruments. I personally enjoy those instruments the most and I’m definitely choosing you for this
Christoph, Your playing is fantastic, I have never seen you play before, I can see you have worked hard, good Job, Thank you !
Amazing talent, concentration, physical effort all rolled into one to make beautiful music!
Tous simplement génial .Bravo!
How ima be looking during our marching show this year
Weirdest Chick Here : What does “ima be” mean?

Septimus Pretorius why avoid slang it’s as vital to being fluent to a language as anything
@@goingkilling0468 : For those who enjoy writing in slang terms, I say - “go right ahead”! As for me, I prefer not to “dumb-down” my written communication. I prefer NOT to write; “ima be”, “gone”, “finna”, etc., etc., etc. Not only are those terms grammatically incorrect, they also it also lead to a great deal of miscommunication. Thanks and have a great holiday
An absolutely fantastic performance. Brilliant playing. High artistry. Marvellous !.

Wow excellent . Love this performance from Pakistan
imagine waking your neighbor every day at 5 am with this thing, when it's practice time.
yea it'll be EPIC
Extra ordinary. This fellow is a master of the xylophone, marimba, and every other instrument in this type ... perhaps even steel drums.
🙏🙏🙏
This is like some Animusic shenanigans.
You are a god 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
waaaaaaa I am also a player of the same musical instruments in a Marching Band, I've also tried a small one that we really carry while marching and forming different formations even though it's very heavy. This just made my brain burst! Really Amazing! I am still waiting for the right time for me to have my own keyboard! and really practice every time! Thank for reminding me again!
SIMPLY AMAZING , WOWWWWWWWW ‼️‼️‼️💥💥💥💕💕💕💥🙌🙌🙌💥
I'm impressed that you pulled that off while listening to iTunes. :)
You make it look so easy. That had to be a whole lot of hard work. I'd have a hard time with with one in each hand. I have no idea how you are able to play with four mallets. Well done, man!
Wow!!!!! Absolutely wow!!!!!
Bravo, bravíssimo esplêndido!!!
This makes me want to fine a xylophone and marimba. Played for 25 yrs, but don’t have the instruments now.😔😔😔
I do love watching a good tuned percussionist. It's pretty amazing.
I kind of think it would be better without the soundtrack and with live players to cover the percussion instead, but that marimba solo is still absolutely astounding.
So wunderbar, ich bin noch ganz erfüllt von diesen Klängen. Unglaublich, wie schön Sie spielen, leicht, elegant, virtuos.
His indescribable mystical skill Ìs off the charts, and out of this world
