I have one of these “special” rulers and I love it!!! You can mark on any machine where your seam needs to be. 🌹
I just love that I never know what unique tutorial you're going to surprise me with! Thank you for always teaching this old dog a new trick!
Brilliant notions to have with our machines……thanks for sharing…….
This is a perfect little kit. Thanks, Laura. So informative! 💖
Always learning something from you Laura.
Always learn something from you and the videos. Keep them coming.😊
Love this! Thank you.
Laura - you are my Guru always. thanks to your clear inform. i know see a very good reason to purchase these for my white (im the original owner! & my black vintage machine.Fondly TS
I enjoy your videos; however, this video I hoped you would show the 'various' types of sewing machines it can be used for. My two machines do not have the holes seen on a vintage machine you used. I hoped you would have demonstrated on a couple of different 'modern' sewing machines you indicated that they can be used on.
Update: I just went on the Featherweight website, watched the video, and the tool you demonstrated is only for Featherweight 221 and 222 vintage sewing machines. This tool does not help with the modern sewing machines used today...
Hi Laura, I bought this steam guide set from Featherweight Shop several months ago. It didn't come with the storage bag or the thin plastic spacer. 🤔 No big deal- just FYI. ❤
Good to know!
Weill I'm a little disappointed in what I got from Amazon. It was missing the part that goes on the left side -- where you put the needle down to bump the right side against. It was also missing the cute little bag that held all of the parts.
Hi. Is this only for Singer Featherweight’s ❓Or can you use it on any machine? Thanks.
Every stitcher needs this set of tools in their toolbox. Thanks for sharing!
👏🏻🧵
I may as well not look at this video, I don't have that type of machine.
She explains in the video that it can be used on almost any machine and then goes on to demonstrate how it works for them. I hope that helps. It may be work revisiting if you need a seam guide. Happy sewing. 💙🧵🪡
@@apiecemaker1163 Thank you for this information that was so kind. I will revisit Thanks again.
@@kendal4452 you are most welcome. Gnight and sweet dreams 👩🌾🌻

Pretty cool tool.
Great for us "vintage" sewers. Thanks
Thank you for this video! I'm also very interested in the red, black ,grey quilt that is hanging behind you. Is there a video on that one somewhere?
Love your videos. They are always so educational. Teaching the things I need to know more about.
I love my featherweight seam guide!
Would I be able to buy one I’m from the uk?
i need a fence seam guide and have one
May I ask, as you sew ALL types & weight of fabrics, does each fabric type stay exactly in place at the edge of the tool? ... Or, do certain fabric types that are 'slippery" in nature, such as silk, nylon, sheen polyesters, etc jump the edge and slide to the right, thus causing crooked seams? ... If they do, perhaps a viable solution is to heighten the thickness on the left side of the tool to act as a higher barrier to keep the fabric edge smoothly gliding without jumping over the edge ... Of course, the manufacrurer would have to change or imporve the design, but that is my question and concern that I'd like for you to address and/or test and discuss if you would please Laura. Thank you!
I have not had this problem but I do see what you mean. I think the key is to sew at a slower speed if the fabric jumps. But you do have a good idea. Thanks for sharing
