Tormented, Dysfunction and Break The Cycle were albums that truly were there when i need the most, which is always I'm always been grateful for, how Aaron was able to relate millions of people around the world with his lyrics back then. All my life I've been dealing with asperger and anxiety, negative thoughts always surrounding me endlessly. So glad they finally released something new, specially when i became a better version of myself: Emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.

Aaron Lewis is in a much better place now than he was years ago. This track definitely doesn’t come off as depressing, like their earlier material has. As much as I love Staind, I believe this will be their final album. Aaron loves the solo touring life and getting to spend time at home. Which is great, because I love his country music.

Released a stellar album and then go on hiatus for 12 years....very disappointing! So excited for the new album tho. After hearing this song it's very clear Staind still got it and this is exactly the kinda sound I've grown to love from them....I'm sure the rest of the new album will SLAP as well.

EDIT: for awhile, I felt like this was more beat oriented WHICH I LOVED, and now I know why: watch Rock Feed’s interview with Aaron you guys. In it? Aaron says Mike sent him pieces of guitar parts and song ideas. For drums they used a beat machine. Aaron and one of his best friends listened, arranged, rearranged, and sent back full songs (for guitar and drums). Right?
That’s how Linkin Park did their first 3 records (Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora; furthermore, they might’ve done it on records beyond that, but I’m ignorant to that).
This is SO beat oriented vs self titled or Tormented BECAUSE of that. Aaron listened for the coolest guitar parts, so OF COURSE this feels like it picks up where self titled left off!

I just refound this band after only hearing these songs and this type of music through my dads radio on car rides as a really young kid and I distinctly remember you guys being my favorite band that my dad would play as a kid and it’s really cool to see it come full circle re-finding you guys again and then you releasing something new that brings me right back to when I was a kid sitting in the back seat.
