    Way more important than how the material feels is whether it is easy to clean or not!

    We had a similar looking Recaro seat with this removable front portion but we got rid of it because it was too clumsy to put the child in the seat and she hated the limited visibility and lack of space for her hands to play wit stuff. But yes indeed this type is regarded as safer.
    PS: Great content. Lots of new parents will watch it.

    My kids used cybex car seats similar to this one. My youngest would hate the chest pillow thing, but after some time (2 weeks maybe) she got used to it and they used it until no child seat was required. I believe the seats where 2 and 3 age groups. Great quality, security and value for money.

    I remember being rear-ended and baby was 10mo. Old in a Chicco Keyfit Rear facing - car (Kia Rio) was totaled - baby is now 10 and supersmart.
    Airbag childseat might be too much for me.

    All my 3 children have sat in a forward facing Cybex from 15 months onwards. However, I prefer the older, bit more low-tech approach, with just (good) passive protection.

    Once your kid goes into this kind of seat, you will not move it in or out that much. Also, your kid will climb in mostly on its own. At least my 2 boys did. 😃 Moving it to the right side will be easier, as you don't have to feel around for the buckle of the bumper. I think that would anmoy me, but that's just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

    I know your new to this babystuff, but there is also a "Plus test" for carseats that sets the safety even higher. This carseat has not been tested yet, but can't wait to see the results! 🙂 We got 3 kids under the age of 6 (5, 3 and 3 months) and we will wait for for this test before buying the seat. Hope it gets a good score, because I want it! 😁

    • @topicsx

      This seat will never be tested for plus test since it is a FF seat. Only seats that can be used exclusively in RF are tested for plus test

      @@topicsx oh, okay. Isn't that a little odd? 🤔

    • @topicsx
      @topicsx 2 роки тому +2

      @@hackiz no, plus test is an extended safety test above the carseat industry standard and it's the manufacturers choice to put a carseat under the plus test. Since this Anoris is only for FF use and the plus test is for Extended Rear Facing carseats, it will never be tested because it doesn't fit the criteria.

    Maybe I missed something but... I wonder how airbag is activated on that seat :
    Car airbags can detect whether it is an impact or a violent breaking. The baby seat don't have impact sensors logically, so could it make a difference between a real impact or a breaking ??
    The other question is what happens after ? What to do when the airbag has been activated ? I suppose you can't refill with gas and fold the airbag in just like nothing happened, right ? Should you return it to Cybex ?... Throw it away and buy a new one ?!

    • @dts7824
      @dts7824 Рік тому

      Yes you would throw it away and buy a new one. Do you expect to fold the airbags back in in your car if you're in an accident? Yes airbags can detect the difference.... Have you ever seen your car airbags deploy when you stopped for a traffic light?

    The Isofix hooks should stay in until the seat is in the car. Otherwise you can scratch the paint of the car with it. As long as you only have one child, I think it makes more sense for it to sit on the right side because you can see it better from the driver's seat.

  • @alexanderhansen7981

    If I ever have another child I would go for a car with sliding doors..or a model X. Backseat car-doors are never big enough. It's not just about taking the seat it selfe in and out, it's al about fitting the child into the seat every day.

      @@bjornnyland That's the place that is least likely to be hit in collation, meaning the safest place in a car statistically. I can tell you that my oldest son would not be alive if he had been in any other seat in a crash he was involved in. his mother had a huge crash when he was 2 years old, the car was torn in two where the flour ripped behind the front seat and the only thing holding it together was the passenger side rocker panel, the driver side center pillar was almost in the middle of the car, she survived because she is extra small so her seat was extra close to the dashboard and the beam went behind the seat. . I would have been killed if I was there.

    My son is 11 months. I'm afraid I'll have to turn the seat forward-facing soon (it's legal here in Czech republic, though not exactly recommended). Not because he wouldn't fit. Because he complains severely about being put into the seat, because he doesn't see much of what's going on.
    Besides, he is already trying to exit the seat on his own and jump out of the car headfirst when unbuckled, so … no, you're not going to be taking 15-month old child out the way you showed ;-). I'd be afraid that he might be able to unbuckle this particular seat on his own ‒ it seems like only a simple push button.
    As for this particular seat. I wouldn't even try. That big thing in the front would limit his movements even more than the belts he has now and he just wouldn't have any of it. Children of this age might not be able to speak properly, but they are very capable of expressing their displeasure. When choosing our seat, we had to let him try them and see which ones were acceptable.

    One another way to sell people more safety seats. Just have a guess how long those cables and electronics works. That big pillow on baby's lap gives already quite a good surface area to support baby in the case of collision. Safety gets all the time worse when child grows. Baby is in unbelievable rigid and safe full body seat and seat gets smaller and less rigid for the child all the way child grows. Good that babies have super safe seats, bad that bigger people have seats that are not that safe. Just comparing to race seats and belts for adults vs regular car seats and belts. We could do much better if we wanted. IMO

      Yeah, 4/5 point seatbelts don't protect the neck of the child, they pin everything else back except the head and neck, which on a small child is very weak, this limits the motion, even without the airbag.

    ooooh poop! I'm doubtful about the airbag replacing the safety of rearfacing seat.. You only need to brake hard and see how even 3 year olds headbangs, let alone crash. Would the airbag really stop the neck from straining.. It might in a heavy crash.. Our 3 year old doesnt like when we "take turbo" with C40. He is rearfacing and already his head goes to his chest and it really does'nt look healthy or comfortable and thats only the acceleration..

      The impact cushion thing alone reduces head movement. I have one and it's reassuring. I have seen the crash test and the head barely moves, it's very effective.
