- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited, with the all new 3.6L pentastar V6. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

This car actually got a lot of good consumer reviews from people who actually owned the car, instead of a magazine just testing it. Most of the people who bought the Limited 3.6 had nothing but really good things to say about the car. They all said it was very fast, gets very good gas mileage, it rides nice, it's quiet, it's comfortable, and it has a lot of nice features among other things. The only complaints I heard from them were the lack of a backup camera and rear parking sensors... One owner said it best though... People who can't drive need a backup camera on a car like this lol. I thought that was pretty funny. For the money, especially now in the used market, a 2011-14 Chrysler 200 3.6 is pretty good bargain. I'd go for a fully loaded 2014 Limited 3.6 sedan if I were buying one, so I could have the latest features, and the updated Garmin navigation system, plus anything else they may have updated or improved.
Did people say they had any problems with the cars?
@@fakejeepman06 it’s a Chrysler so probably in general
Just got a 2013 Limited and it has a clunky transmission like we’ve all heard but loving it otherwise
It’s junk
I've had 2 of these. The first one was 2011 200 with the 2.4, and a 2012 200 S with the 3.6. They both were great cars, but the Pentastar is the way to go in these 200's.
Got mine back in 2012, still love it to this day... Best car I've ever bought!
I'm thinking of buying one. Any transmission problems?
+Kingston1661 None at all
+Dragon-cat Motorsports Alright thanks
anytime, it's a very soild car, you'll enjoy it!
Dragon-cat Motorsports Is it still good
I brought a 2011 Chrysler 200 limited for a great deal. It has ALL of the toys in it and I love it.
Does it work with bluetooth
@@Davids_United-Fam Yes
HUGE improvement in styling inside and out over what used to be the sebring. Amazing what a few tweaks to an existing platform can do!
It may be a cheap-ass rental car but that 3.6 Pentastar V6 is a damn good engine
+TheNOGarcia Thankfully the newer 2015 keeps the great motor but applies it to a class-leading chassis :)
Trades46 and better build quality too (hopefully). :)
Its the same as the dodge caravan right? I mean they sound the exact fucking same
My mother is making plans on getting this car, but she also wanted some Nissan hybrid. Long story short after getting inside of this car she is now in love with it. Now that I have seen it in this video, I'm in love with it too.
Thanks for the post!
I had one of these as my first car except mine was the Touring model and a convertible. I absolutely loved that car when I had it.
Kyle makes the BEST car reviews on youtube. Better than a pro! Thumbs up, if you agree.
I own a 2013 Chrysler 200 and I love it. It is reliable, fun to drive, and stylish. I get many compliments. I have the auburn coloured 200 which only 150 have been made :D
I had one of these, and I wish I kept it. Was built well, and was an amazing value. Wonderful vehicle.
how was the V6 in that car? did you have any major problems with? did the transmission hold up OK? thx
I love Chrysler and I own the 200. It is a great car. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
Any updates on it 10 years later?
I love this car. Chrysler has sure made a lot of improvements
the 2011-present Chrysler 200 is assembled in
Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States
"HEY EVERYBODY WHAZ GOINGOHHHNNNN" Thats your official opener. And we love it.
Big improvement over the Sebring, and especially impressive considering it was all redesigned and rebuilt in 12 months. It doesn't look cheap or unappealing anymore. That engine sounds pretty husky too.
0:42 beautiful sound
these things look really great in black.
These cars are a lot nicer than I thought. I was expecting just a complete rename of the Sebring, without any major changes, but this looks really nice. The 283hp could be a handful in a fwd car though. Another great video from saabkyle04.
Test drove one of these. Roles and shifts very smoothly. Felt a lot like a crown Vic on the road.
I saw one of these in my rearview mirror a couple days ago... I think it was the only car I've ever seen for the first time where I didn't say "hey cool, look at that!" It looks like it's been on the market for years...
Idol #7 Menzie Montes takes on the Chrysler!
Your car reviews are the best on UA-cam! It would be great if you could also include the performance specs on each car - like the 0-60, 1/4mile times and stopping distance as well as MPG.
I will never forget the 2011 Super Bowl Commercial, that made this car so popular. How Detroit musician Eminem made the 200 so popular and iconic.
Im so sick of people hating on anything made by Chrysler when they dont know anything and probably drive a pos Ford. The 200 is a nice car
Definitely a beautiful and a affordable car (Y)
I learnt how to use the fog lights because of your videos? =D
i swear before the world ends next year im gettin this car.
Haha I drive by the assembly plant where these are made on my way home from school everyday. Great video as always!
Top of the line right here boy.
im getting my cherry red s model on Monday can hardly wait
@iEatOreoCookies You don't have to turn off the engine, you just have to put the key in the ignition so it won't get stolen. Kyle just turned it off so he could show start-up from the inside
Proud to be from Detroit! I know people who build this car!
@Polymath95 3.8 V6 is the Best Engine. I have an 1997 Oldsmobile 88. I've had it for 5 years, currently has 124,000 miles on it, first bought it with 50,000 miles on it I'm the second owner too. Torque from the engine feels strong as if it was fresh out the factory, current gas mileage is city 20 and 30 highway. These engines are strong. I don't think I'll ever sell or give away my car. 3.8 V6 4 life.
Great video as always! I'll be honest, the 200 is ok!
I was thinking I wanted one of these. Now with this amazing walk around I am sick to my stomach in anticipation of going to get it. Great Job. (Just put some pants on next time) Definitely will subscribe.
Just found one in 5k! Looks like a good car!
I'm a big fan of this car but it does need a few updates. Mostly with that touch screen interface, it's the old design that the Challenger also has and they should replace it with the 8.4 inch interface found in the Dart, 300, Charger, etc. It's a much better system! Although I hear they're redesigning it soon so who knows. That Pentastar V6 is a great engine! By far the best V6 Chrysler's put out in a long time, very smooth and quiet yet great sound and a lot of power.
as far as design goes I think the "NEW 200" is one of the best new designs next t to the Sonata. I think it looks very nice inside and out. And I hear quality everywhere in this car. I liked the whole video except when Kyle opens the glove box and it just flops down. THen I thought no dampening here? THe huge hump in the middle of the back seat floor is another issue. They should of just made this a 4 seater with really cool seats and put a nice console all the way through it. Thanks Kyle!
Considering one of these next 👍🚘💕
KallMe Kiki as one who used to own one of these myself, I can definitively say that these are very good cars. In my opinion, I think the 200 was the best looking car in its class when it was first introduced. It handles very well, and the 3.6 L V6 is a very reliable engine.
Wow good job Chrysler. I'll take this one! I like this and the 300 but this one has MUCH less electronics in it than the 300 which I love. The new 300 is really nice but way too much could go wrong with the electronics, especially the push button ignition. For that, I'd rather go with a 300 that's a few years older like a 2007 or so. Those had a lot less in them. But as for a new car, the 200 is very well designed and catches my eye. Great video!
Just got mines today
eyeswideopen23 you still have it? Has or was it a good car? I had mine 3 days and wrecked it and just got it fixed but now need a trans and fixed I be painted and front end alignment you think it’s worth fixing in you’re opinion? Thanks
This is the motor city. This is what we do!
A Car Worth Buying With Great Price, Nuff Said!
Nice...for 2011 Chrysler,Dodge and Jeep Vehicles have improved 10-Fold in all Area's.
Good job Chrysler.
Looks much better in black IMO.
Thanks for taking my suggestion :)
gonna be my first car. Im getting it in january
I miss my 2011 Chrysler 200s dearly. :(.
it will be nice to get some of the new BMW, AUDI and MERCEDES
Nice work keep going
@Techdude9856 Most of them don't. I didn't think any of the 2011's did, but apparently this does which means the Avenger does as well.
What a great looking "Chevy Cruze" it is.
I Really Love This Car it's My Dream Car...I'm Telling My Dad This Saturday That I Want This Car In The Touring Version :)
Melissa Rodriguez did you get it?
Also where I work they have been driving numerous Chrysler products through our parking lot. One day it was the new 300 and a few days later there where some Chrysler Town and countries. I guess that would be the plural LOL. Then a few minutes came a huge truck that would carry Chryslers on them and it showed a picture of the new 200 saying imported from Detroit. It was all covered up like how they deliver most foreign cars. It was a odd scene. But we have a Dodge, Jeep dealer down the road.
Would you choose this or the 2011 sonata Turbo or the 2011 Kia Optima sx turbo? Looking at these three and not sure which way i am looking at going. Please give me your choise from best to worst.
Thanks,
Brett
@Boasandpythons Thanks for your reply, and I admit you have a point that any car will last longer and operate more reliably if it maintained well, specially if preventive maintenance performed on it. However what you say doesn't necessarily contradict my statement. I talked about general perceptions and how the brand holds up in comparison to others in real life, when some owners don't maintain their cars so well.
@Polymath95
All right, but it still makes a typical sound out of all of these same V6s
Hope it reaches in better condition at 100k miles than the previous Chrysler shown by Kyle.
Excellent rental car.
Yeah!! I think it was like 64% of all 2012s went to rental fleets!!!
Ford.Car.Reviews I think anything below executive class is just about transportation, not about reputation.
Ford.Car.Reviews actually only 7% of all 2011-2014 200 made where sold to fleets.
If you say so hahaha!! Every rental company had like 30 of them per rental place haha!!
Ford.Car.Reviews so you must been to every rental car place in the country huh? Outside of national car rentals which has a big contract with the big 3, the first gen 200 was not in high demand by rental car companies, unlike the Ford Mustang & Fusion which are fleet kings
Just got mine. I'm inlove black on black black seats too
This Car is Silver
The new pentastar V6 sounds like Nissans Vq engine when revved, come to think of it so does mitsubishi's V6 powerplants. What do you guys think ?
@saabkyle04rocks4ever That's his second car, his main is a Buick Roadmaster. For someone named "saabkyle04rocks4ever" I would have thought you'd know that...
I love it how they say that this car is the best in its class, but Volvo S60 has 300 hp from a 3.0 V6, but this one has less from a larger engine, and the S60 gets better fuel economy. Still nice car though ill say
Same old chrysler chime just updated thats all. Pity to say my mother in law has one and it's pretty nice but wont be nothing like the Focus/Fiesta
Hi Kyle I'm italian and I follow any video you publish, they're all well done and I love discoverying features of the cars with you but, I can't understand what you say when you say "and now let's check up the exterior......" I would be glad if you can explain me....thanks and keep doing great videos !
gotta love that re limiter everyone's putting in now... ¬_¬
Excellent review.
People who do tours on this car always seem to not realize that the rear seats do fold down.
This car is a really nice "quick fix" of the old Sebring, I think the next model will be much better though.
Nice looking car.
You should do a tour of the 2012 Chrysler 200 S hardtop convertible!
Can someone tell me whats the point of the remote start if you have to turn off the engine to get in the car ?
Nice video
Luxurious as your Lexus.
@TreeHead810 So you're saying he works at about 20 different dealerships? What a guy.
I really want to like this car...it seems like a great car for a great price, but when I see Chrysler still doing lame things like 1 map pocket for the rear seat and a e-brake handle that looks like it came from Rubbermaid (look at the molding line/seam!), it bugs me a bit. I hope this car is successful. It has a great engine, great transmission, tasteful styling, and great features.
@MercedesF700
1. The Volvo has an Inline 6 not a V6
2. The Volvo is $42k this is a $22k car
3. Power isn't everything, refinement, and powerband are quite important as well
The Volvo also has a flinty ride,
Chrysler doesn't really like to change things that don't need it... and sometimes things that do. Speaking of Rams, did they ever fix the dashboard plastic? My 99s has a gaping hole in it....
the engine on the 2011-present Chrysler 200
Engine
2.4 L GEMA I4
3.6 L Pentastar V6
I love it how they say that this car is the best in its class, but Volvo S60 has 300 hp from a 3.0 V6, but this one has less from a larger engine, and the S60 gets better fuel economy. Ughhh, but I hate the sound of those GM V6s. Nice car though
How’s the reliability in this car?
the transmission on the 2010-present Chrysler 200
Transmission
4-speed 40TES automatic
6-speed 62TE automatic
hey kyle is it front wheel drive because we might be getting this
@rockerdriver actually it is true coming this fall
i cant wait for the 1100th video!!!
it looks like chrysler is actually starting to use better materials for their interiors, if you have ever driven a early 00's sebring or stratus you know what i mean. i guess maybe being bought out by fiat was a good thing?
With the new V6 and quickshifting 6-speed this little car must be pretty quick
@datpimpinboy I'm not sure about that one. I do know that Ford offers tours of their River Rouge Plant near Dearborn,MI, where they make the F150.
Touring an automobile assembly plant will make you appreciate the job that you do have. The noise is almost unbearable.
South Carolina? Going quite a bit out of your way?
Kyle I have a question. How do you get the dealers to let you just review the cars like that? Do they just let you? Please reply.
Is this car still for sale
why does it say only 120 on dash and its 280hp?!.. my friend has tl type s and a g35 theyre both 280hp stock and say 160 on dash and can go over that for sure..
Looks like a pacifica p: i love the redesignes rear
good video Kyle as always!!!! Could u do the 00-06 taurus if u get a chance thanks!!!
do you think you could maybe lower the music in your future vids?
@Ty4ons Try showing someone pictures or having them in your car like many, many people do without having to put them on your vanity mirrors, sun visors, or posted onto your instrument cluster, when you can just display them on your 8.4 inch screen. Why criticize a feature? Heated seats aren't a necessity but people want use them. The system is based on Garmin navigations, which is who started adding pictures to their GPS and why it's available on here. The pics are with you everywhere you go.
@menofat1 same cost as previous Sebring model, no change at all.
what car do u have Kyle? still the genesis?
so sirius sattelite radio is free for life?
chrysler should bring the 300 m back i love that car my first car was a 2002 chrysler 300 m
