In fact I have a series S & most of the 3rd party stuff is the same across both platforms, only big 3rd party game I’ve played on Gamepass this year that was worth it was Persona 3. I actually just cancelled it until Avowed comes out after that I’ll dead it again until Fable.

They can't even fit it on the current S size, the dang thing is using all it's case space with hardware, the only way to fit a disc drive in it is by increasing it's size or a complete overhaul of the internals, and making it bigger literally defeats the whole purpose of the console, to be the smallest next gen consoles (switch don't count)
Haven't used a disk in over 5 years.. love having games everywhere, all the time, if I travel I just take my xbox and my 1800 games everywhere anywhere instantly play them.

Pro Tip: Buy a used Series X for like 300 - 350 bucks. Order a Skin u like from shops like dbrand (maybe even some white skin), buy a 2TB USB SSD for like 80 bucks on some prime week or so (like Crucial X8) ... and have a good time with your console.

So what? If I had a Series X I wouldn't need a USB-C. My headset is USB-A (not AUX, I know it's weird but works) and so is my controller, if I'd choose to use it over the original one. And in case you have a controller with recharge port, just use a USB-A to USB-C cable. I get that USB-C is more modern and fancy and fast, I like it a lot but where's the big problem if you don't have one on your console? I've heard players wanted more USB-C ports for the PS5 Slim, wich they got, to add equipment. Is the PS5 equipment like headphones and everything based on USB-C? I'm completley new to this whole console thing, I only have a gaming PC so far, so take it easy on me, I'm just interested.😅
@bose5160 Dude, MS uses Xbox only hard drives/SSDs. Sony and Nintendo use storage you can get for everything else. So they are much cheaper. Compare a 1tb Xbox storage to a 1tb M.2 SSD. The M.2 is 100 bucks cheaper.

It would need to be external and I don’t think you can play games off the external drive so you’d need to transfer it every time… which is what I do, don’t get me wrong, but there is value to having it be built in… it’s invented value since they made it all proprietary but still.
Rumor is the PS5 pro is inly gonna be $499. This is onjective not worth it at $600. The series S shoukd be $300, the X should be $400 and this should be $450. Hey Microsoft. How about add that extra tb to the digital version and keep the price the same as a normal 1tb disc version. Makes sense youre trading a disc tray for an extra tb. Not that it matters because games require a full download even with a disc but still it just makes more sense to have 2tb in the digital one.

They made an all digital version of the series x- it's called the series s. I personally think they should release a usb plug in that also ups the teraflop level and ups the software and hardware levels to those of the series x. The promises made about the series s, and I have one myself, allowed gamers who couldn't afford £500 initially, plus games, and if you want to play in vr, that's another £200. Not to mention steering wheels and all the sin driving equipment could set you back anything up to a cooler of grand. Christ, the elite controller on the xbox is £200, for a joypad!!! Don't get me started on the ps5 Pro, the only reading for that is so Sony can claim to have the most powerful home vonsole. The series x vs the ps5 is a battle the xbox would win everyrime if progtammers would invest some time seeing what it can actually do. It reminds me off the days when ptogrammers struggled with the Sega Saturn which was infinitely more powerful than the ps1, but at the time all we got were ports of ps1 games on the Saturn running St about 50% of the Saturn's piwer.

Honestly, for an extra $50, just get the regular Xbox. With the cheaper option, you're losing the 4K Blu-ray drive, and any Xbox, Xbox 360, or Xbox One discs become useless unless you really want a white console-which, to be fair, doesn’t even look that great. And in some cases, you can get the $500 Xbox on sale-it sometimes drops as low as $399.99.

The only upgrade I see is 1 extra terabyte and in upgrade in price for otherwise the same console. At least the 360, and the Xbox one had actual upgraded consoles. Who uses discs anymore. I'd rather have 2TB internal and 3 NVMe expansion slots. Also MS should allow playing X|S games from any drive and just dynamicly buffer them to a Velocity-drive while playing. I'm thinking the next Xbox could be using X Elite and old hardware emulated through MicrosEtta.

FYI, these new Xbox’s are not even a good deal. The all digital being $450 is cool, but the original series x is literally always on sale for $450. I’ve never seen it at $500 unless it was launch day. Also the 2tb Xbox is also nice, but it is cheaper to just buy the original and get the wd black expansion card. However obviously if you want to maximize your storage then it is for you.

All white consoles will be digital the black consoles will have a disc slot, I guess to make it easier to tell which one by color

So rn average 1tb upgrade on top of your console is about additional $150. So technically the 2tb version save you $50 and comes with cool color wave. That being said they need to make better exclusive games.

This isn't an upgrade. All it's getting is a new color and a slightly larger SSD (Which 2 TB should be STANDARD IN 2024).
Series S is still the best bang for your buck. $270 for a console that can play all the latest games is a steal
If you look at used you can get the series s for about 200 which is a steal if you get one in good condition.

It would need to be external and I don’t think you can play games off the external drive so you’d need to transfer it every time… which is what I do, don’t get me wrong, but there is value to having it be built in… it’s invented value since they made it all proprietary but still.

Rumor is the PS5 pro is inly gonna be $499. This is onjective not worth it at $600. The series S shoukd be $300, the X should be $400 and this should be $450. There is no way that this should be more than the Pro. This worrues me because now Sony is gonna see this and think its okay to charge $700 for the Pro. Prices are supposed to trend down for tech

Hey Microsoft. How about add that extra tb to the digital version and keep the price the same as a normal 1tb disc version. Makes sense youre trading a disc tray for an extra tb. Not that it matters because games require a full download even with a disc but still it just makes more sense to have 2tb in the digital one.

They made an all digital version of the series x- it's called the series s. I personally think they should release a usb plug in that also ups the teraflop level and ups the software and hardware levels to those of the series x. The promises made about the series s, and I have one myself, allowed gamers who couldn't afford £500 initially, plus games, and if you want to play in vr, that's another £200. Not to mention steering wheels and all the sin driving equipment could set you back anything up to a cooler of grand. Christ, the elite controller on the xbox is £200, for a joypad!!! Don't get me started on the ps5 Pro, the only reading for that is so Sony can claim to have the most powerful home vonsole. The series x vs the ps5 is a battle the xbox would win everyrime if progtammers would invest some time seeing what it can actually do. It reminds me off the days when ptogrammers struggled with the Sega Saturn which was infinitely more powerful than the ps1, but at the time all we got were ports of ps1 games on the Saturn running St about 50% of the Saturn's piwer.

Honestly, for an extra $50, just get the regular Xbox. With the cheaper option, you're losing the 4K Blu-ray drive, and any Xbox, Xbox 360, or Xbox One discs become useless unless you really want a white console-which, to be fair, doesn’t even look that great. And in some cases, you can get the $500 Xbox on sale-it sometimes drops as low as $399.99.

Physical media is dead. Because of ssd requirements for faster load times, all modern games require an install. Miss the days when you could just insert and play.

My Radeon RX 6800XT has 22 teraflops of power and that card isn’t even super powerful by standards of 2024 and going into 2025. PS5 People come over here without realizing that PS has done like three upgrades to the PS5. Model: 10,11,12. Why do you think that is? It needed improvement. Now Xbox just came out with the first upgrade and new model after the 1st one. That tells you a lot. I don’t do the argument of which is better. But I just to owned PS’s and now I am with Xbox. Yes, Microsoft charges to much for an external SSD. But now other companies are selling SSD’s that are cheaper. For me 1TB is enough, and if I want to play a new game: I just download it. Simple!! The only upgrade I see is 1 extra terabyte and in upgrade in price for otherwise the same console. At least the 360, and the Xbox one had actual upgraded consoles.

Who uses discs anymore. I'd rather have 2TB internal and 3 NVMe expansion slots. Also MS should allow playing X|S games from any drive and just dynamicly buffer them to a Velocity-drive while playing. I'm thinking the next Xbox could be using X Elite and old hardware emulated through MicrosEtta.

FYI, these new Xbox’s are not even a good deal. The all digital being $450 is cool, but the original series x is literally always on sale for $450. I’ve never seen it at $500 unless it was launch day. Also the 2tb Xbox is also nice, but it is cheaper to just buy the original and get the wd black expansion card. However obviously if you want to maximize your storage then it is for you.
