what is the "panic alarm off" .. pretty sure I just look disoriented until I do something to make it stop but darn if I recall after.

By starting the car! You can still start your vehicle with a dead key fob.

How did you shut off the alarm when you got in?
I had a sonata for over 10 years and I only needed to replace the key fob battery once. Turns out there is a little red light at the top of the fob that blinks red if the battery is still good.
That’s cool, I didn’t know by touching the start/stop button with the fob can actually start the car!
So how do you disarm the alarm sound ?
By starting the vehicle!

Good point! There’s no special process to put it back on. Just needs a firm press and it clicks back into place

The pull out key I believe is also used to "carefully" open the fob to replace the battery.

How do you turn off the alarm if the fob is dead?
In this video we mention that you can still start it with the dead key fob, you just have to make sure the key physically touches the start button. There will always be enough power left to turn on the vehicle.
I have two keys for my 24 Elantra. Only one fob does the smart trunk. The other one doesn’t. How do I fix it?

At the back of the handle you flick of the back of it and you will see a key slot it's as easy as that

Hi ladies, I'm considering getting a 24 telluride - I love the car but my main concern is how lock my fob in my car when I go surfing? In my Honda element I can just take the key out of the fob and put it in my wetsuit while surfing - is there any way to do that with the Kia?
