      @No Name I'd much rather listen to somebody who has used the gear and trains other people to use there gear than somebody who just watched a bunch of videos on UA-cam and thinks they're combat Carl. He might have named dropped a bunch of company's but wouldn't you too if that company made food products that you use?

    SEMPER Fi Green Beret! When I was in Marine Forced Recon back in 1987 to 1991 we had Vietnam era stuff. All nylon web belt with the plastic buckle. All Black. Two plastic canteens. Two nylon M-14 pouches. My M12 nylon holster and see mag pouch. On My back my butt pack or my rook sack. My suspenders. My compass on one side and my K-Bar on the other side. Med kit, first aid kit. My cleaning kit mess in kit my grenades all in my rook sack. Those were the days. Great video. Not boring.

    I appreciate the fact that you explain everything. You see a lot of people running "tacticool" shit at the range and what not. But for more of us function over looks is important because as you stated that when shit hits the fan and you have to do some hands on or something all your shit goes everywhere. I am new to your channel but big fan already. I work security as well and this helped me setup my belt for range and duty. Only differences is I use HSGI Taco pouches for my Handgun and I have one of their dual rifle/pistol mag pouches with flap behind my holster. In the Rifle pouch I put my flash light and multi-tool and use the pistol mag pouch for a spare Tourniquet or Glowsticks for duty and then able to use it for mags on the range

  • @George-hb6qw
    @George-hb6qw 3 місяці тому

    Awesome 👍 exactly how I have mine set up. Only difference is I have the cuffs and the multi tool-flashlight pouch switched. I find it more convenient to be able to use the handheld light if I am holding the gun with my dominant hand, and besides it won't ever be a need to hold the cuffs and the gun together. Very cool setup

    Personally I greatly enjoyed this video, I not only do Armed Security down here in San Antonio but I'm also going through online classes for my Bachelor's of Criminal Justice and then afterwards I plan to go into the Army to be an 11A Infantry Officer. So for me after spending the last couple of years constantly going through what I have on my duty belt, constantly making sure to have everything set up so that way I can draw and pop off rounds when needed, I found this to be refreshing. I always like seeing how other people do their load outs as I find it cool all the different ways that others will have their stuff set up and WHY they have it that way, great way for taking notes and getting pointers on the best ways to be prepared for when shit hits the fan.

    • @justanothergunner1847
      @justanothergunner1847 4 роки тому

      So your main concern is “popping off rounds” ?
      As a security guard you should probably look more at using less than lethal force or some tactical report writing.

    • @bostearns7083
      @bostearns7083 4 роки тому +1

      @@justanothergunner1847 If i have to draw my gun my ONLY concern is going to be putting as many accurate bullets down range at the bad guy(s) as i can. Its not about hoping something happens so that i can shoot my gun, its about being prepared for when (god forbid) i actually have to defend myself from an attacker while im out at work.

      I agree that Multicam or Coyote is silly for people that live in cities.
      But black is not so good when the majority of your time is spent in rural areas. I haven't seen anyone wearing all black in PineLand for example.

    Great Video Z! Not boring at all. It was incredibly insightful. This video was perfect timing because I am preparing my belt for an Advanced Pistol Training. I have a dual pistol mag Kydex on my duty belt, this video has me considering going over to the flap mag pouches because you are absolutely right, "Shit does fly out!" This video also has me considering putting a small medkit on my belt (I currently have on my plate carrier). Z, you've been there, youve done it, many of us haven't. Your insight into a fight ready set up is information gold to those of us training to be capable to defend our homes. Hope to see more videos like this.

    I used to be a massive gear queer when I first started out (we all were guilty of it) but what curbed my habits early was inheriting a duty belt.
    See, went I first started off I was trained by a veteran police officer before he was crippled out of the line of duty. He passed his duty belt onto me, knowing I plan to stay in the line of duty for my entire career. I have modified it slightly to suit me/whatever my agency requires such as the gun (a big reason I switched over to Glock, can use it everywhere).
    This former cop is such a good friend of mine, I have even driven across the state to help him move his training academy to a new building on my own dime. He won't be around much longer (directly related to the reason he was crippled out of the line of duty) so you understand I can't use anything else now, the only time I will stop running this belt is if it entirely breaks off my body.
    On that note for all my peers in security and law enforcement: Get the contact information of your instructors. They will be some of your greatest references. The people you will meet in this field, those connections are for life.

    between this channel and Ronin Tactical’s channel, they’ve got my police station swimming in sexy duty belt set-ups. Love it when guys start actually getting into setting up their kit for a real fight, training with their set up, teaching the rookies better ways of training that warrior mindset so hopefully it saves their lives or someone else’s life in the future.

    When it comes to gear, less really is more. We are far more likely to need the boo-boo kit than anything else. What so many people fail to realize is that is a GOOD thing.
