Great song, thnx for uploading it! Ann's emotional pull is felt here in the bridge & that has been a major part of what Heart is always about..with no small help from Nancy & Howard Leese & co. of course. Ann is the queen of pulling a listener into the tune, for sure for a fine lil diversion or a shoulder to cry on/commiserate with, & also being happy. Whatever the occasion, Heart has music for it. God bless Heart!!
Heart's guitar players were years above their time. They seemed to have adopted the Jimmie Hendrix experience as well as some of Santana's techniques. It also seems that they were ahead of Van Halen in some of the guitar riffs they did.
As a teen I saw them twice in Albuquerque New Mexico around 1977. We didn’t have tickets but found 2 tickets from people that had extra, huge line we made our way to the door and we were the first in. That’s how determined I was, they were my favorite. Still have all this albums🥰♥️♥️♥️
I too was at Texxas Jam and with all the talent that day my Heart fell for Heart and I was 19 at the time and in the Air Force and wanted to fly away with the Wilson sisters🥰🥰
What happened to today's (music artists)= it's only a job description these days really. HEART wrote and performed true MEANINGFUL SONGS. AWESOME VOCALISTS. MAGICAL GUTARISTS. WICKED DRUMS. SOUL MOVING= *VOCALS/BEATS/RIFFS*.. ♡Real Genuine Talent. (The Wilson sisters had Class - Style - Confidence. ) That's what I found attractive..
Just heard this album for the first time. The album was made the same year I was born. This song is underrated and some of the other songs have what I describe as a mideveal feel to them, which goes along with the supposed theme of part of the album. A very unique album and I've never heard anything quite like it.
You just can't beat the 1970's. It was the best times, the best music, and the best people. I love Heart! I had two favorite bands back then, and they were Heart and Led Zeppelin. On a scale from 1 to 10 , I give Anne and Nancy a 10 all the way! I miss these days and times, and I am sure they do too.
Weight problem? This woman is absolutely hotter than a pistol! I wouldn't give a fuck if she was 300lbs-plus, she can sing to me anytime! Heart always kicks ass...
Heart was a Rock Solid unit with that original lineup. Yes, Anne's vocals are among the best in all of rock. It's true. But ALL members contributed to their strong and distinct sound. If there are any standouts in this group, it's Anne and Roger Fisher. If Anne had been the only standout, this band would have been like Pat Benatar -- great singer with an average backup band. That clearly wasn't the case as I stated before.
I hate to pull the new music thing sucks. But at least in the Rock World.....I can't think of 1 modern singer in the last 15 or so that's female in rock that could hold a candle to Ann Wilson.
Excellent! The most underappreciated singer in the history of rock is Wilson. She is better than Robert Plant, has lasted longer, still has the pipes, and belts it out to this day as if she were 19 again. She is amazing. Any list of greatest rock singers that does not include her name is illegitimate, stifled by the prejudices of a misogynistic era.
I remember we bought this album the day it came out. I appreciate the fact (now, not so much then!) that these ladies focused on their music, not on selling their bodies. In those days, you had to have talent. Seems like the talented ones now may get passed over because they don't look so hot, or choose not to display their wares. Thanks for the video.
No, no no, don't get wrong puttin' Nancy aside!! Just look at her live making the acoustic intro to "Crazy on you"!! Oh man you'll see a true rock 'n' roll queen!!! And then you can go to listen to her tenderly singing "These dreams" and you'll be gently charmed!!
Great version!!! Loved it, loved them! BTW, in case you guys haven;t noticed, their music and their stage style was very much influenced by Zeppelin. But nevertheless, they were great in their own right!
Nancy does have a beautiful voice, and it would have been nice if she'd sung more often. (Check out Nancy on These Dreams and Mona Lisas & Mad Hatters from Alive in Seattle.) Obviously they decided Ann would be the lead singer, probably b/c Ann's more powerful voice is more suited to most of their material.
One of my favorite heart tunes, it's such a literal pure-rock and roll song. The transitions, the heart (no pun intended) and soul that carries this song! L, a long with the lyrics and the story it tells !!! 9ne of their best tunes imo
Roger Fisher was one of those guitarists that could really get out and take over a song. Truly a shame that he was forced out of the band. Something Fisher himself takes responsibility for.
Does anyone know what exact performance or concert this was filmed at? I've seen two other videos from the same show (Barracuda and Love Alive) and wonder if there is more. Where did these come from?

I was there ccc was a few miles from home good times 👍🏼
Quit comparing them to the zepp. There gifted in there own right. Both girls are smokin!
Michael DE Roger Won the most underrated drummers and one of the most underrated bands of all time these guys were killer 2nd to none
Beautiful inside and out
Great song, thnx for uploading it!
I think both her and Suzi Quattro are hot 70s Rock goddesses. I'm in my 30s, but I love the look of the women back then. Watching from London UK.
I have always been in love with ya, Ann. You're one of a very few chicks that can really sing rock 'n roll.
The great, the talented, and beautiful Ann Wilson - still great, still talented, and still beautiful.
I love you
My favorite Heart song. The production is nice and raw. Her voice is amazing
Môj tiež- My too.
Being in heaven is having Ann singing in my ear. Her vocals are a direct connection to my heart.
Ann gives me a Heart-on!
Heart's guitar players were years above their time. They seemed to have adopted the Jimmie Hendrix experience as well as some of Santana's techniques. It also seems that they were ahead of Van Halen in some of the guitar riffs they did.
I came her after watching Miley Cyrus sing the Heart of Glass cover to remind myself that there was a better time.
Female Robert Plant
i love how many people see that:D i taught i was the only one:D
I have heard many cover songs of led zeppelin by HEART. Her vocal was mind blowing .
***** lol Yeah, she can still very much sing like this, Robert Plant could barely squeeze a Zeppelin song out nowadays, sadly.
haha so true. thanks for pointing that out!!
she was everything at the time and never found anyone like her since
And this is what legends are made of!!!
Seattle's best? World's best women of rock. Thank you for the years. ❣ #heartforever
Ann's voice is so captivating, sucks you right in to feel the lyrics and meaning
They blew me away at '79 Texxas Jam along with Boston, Van Halen , Nazareth, Sammy H. B.O.C.
I too was at Texxas Jam and with all the talent that day my Heart fell for Heart and I was 19 at the time and in the Air Force and wanted to fly away with the Wilson sisters🥰🥰
I saw them at the Iowa State fair in 1978; Walter Egan was the opening act.
What happened to today's (music artists)= it's only a job description these days really.
HEART wrote and performed true MEANINGFUL SONGS.
AWESOME VOCALISTS.
MAGICAL GUTARISTS.
WICKED DRUMS.
SOUL MOVING= *VOCALS/BEATS/RIFFS*..
♡Real Genuine Talent.
(The Wilson sisters had Class - Style - Confidence. )
That's what I found
attractive..
I would say Ann & Nancy would rate an eleven each.
This stuff just never gets old!
those riffs those vocals..gold
Oh to be that microphone 🎤🔥
Talent like this, we will not see again. Rock on Ann & Nancy.
The Queens of Rock & Roll!!!! The bass is so awesome in this song.
Steve Fossen on Gibson Thunderbird.
Weight problem? This woman is absolutely hotter than a pistol! I wouldn't give a fuck if she was 300lbs-plus, she can sing to me anytime! Heart always kicks ass...
From Little Queen to the Queen of Rock!
But at least in the Rock World.....I can't think of 1 modern singer in the last 15 or so that's female in rock that could hold a candle to Ann Wilson.
lightningsmokerXx
it's because u are not paying attention. plenty good singers
lizzy hale ?? nuff said, though i love anne and always will there is plenty of talent out just now
pathfinred Lizzy Hale is about the only great female rocker left today.
@@alienstarguest I like todays music, BUT YOU ARE 100% WRONG, THE 70S WERE SPECIAL.
Check out Spiders, Lucifer, Blues Pills, all great female singers keeping that 70's sound alive.
I give Ann and Nancy a 10
10+++++😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Robert Plant in 1969/70 could hit notes so high you would be floored. That kind of magic don't last long!!!
100% agree!
@@chrishultgren777 It does with Wilson. Cheers. Plant is iconic for sure.
@@wendyhouses Wow. My opinions on her usually bring down wild anger. Yours is an encouraging and affirmative response. Thank you.
Ann was about 27 when Heart releases “Little Queen” and she looked like 19 🤯
yea she does
true
Classic sound of 70's hard rock mixed with some psychedelic episodes there. 😄😘
It’s been 10 years since you commented this and it aged beautifully
Such raw musical talent. Can never get enough of the Wilson sisters and Heart!
Let’s be honest, Ann is the star of this band. Her vocals are emotive
They all are, the band is one
Howie was the band. riffs and all when band began.
@@gregoryposler4314 But Ann is THE VOICE
No, no no, don't get wrong puttin' Nancy aside!! Just look at her live making the acoustic intro to "Crazy on you"!! Oh man you'll see a true rock 'n' roll queen!!! And then you can go to listen to her tenderly singing "These dreams" and you'll be gently charmed!!
They both make a fantastic, unique female rock duo!!
SAD THING IS SHE'S PURE TALENT DOESN'T MATTER IF SHE WEIGHTS 100 OR 300 POUNDS ....
Stop yelling Karen
Ann dam one of the greatest rock vocal's ever.
Ann this is still my go to video when I need my heart fix
Check out Roger playing a scalloped fingerboard on a strat quite a few years before Yngwie!
This is played live when bands were good enough to play live.
Say what you want about Anne Wilson's figure. Not many can hold a candle to her in the pipes department.
Great version!!! Loved it, loved them!
BTW, in case you guys haven;t noticed, their music and their stage style was very much influenced by Zeppelin. But nevertheless, they were great in their own right!
In addition to Ann's excellent vocals, my boy Roger can make that Strat sing.
Greatest female vocalist ever in my opinion
Hearts guitarist has great taste,he plays a scalloped Stratocaster , plus he plays for the greatest voice in Rock and Roll IMHO.
Roger Fisher.
Played
2:07 I'd forgotten about that trippy 1/2 time part. The drummer has a gong; so 70's
Wow. They kicked ass in the 70's. I hear zeppelin in their sound. Still good today the Wilson sisters
They were So beautiful … and totally bad ass !!! Love this 😍👍🏻
Does anyone know what exact performance or concert this was filmed at? I've seen two other videos from the same show (Barracuda and Love Alive) and wonder if there is more. Where did these come from?
Nancy was cute, but Ann was absolutely beautiful, and of course both talented.
You'd rather have wine than gin
Only the finest by your skin
Always running after Time - catching
You're fancy with rhyme
Shining on the front page again
Hot on the presses today - little queen
Making your passion play - little queen
Nobody knows your melancholy mind -
Little queen
Away from the sellers, the papers said
Your crown was tight and heavy on your head
Still you danced and you sang - all night
The telephone rang
Music kept on playing from your pen.
Hot on the presses today - little queen
Making your passion play - little queen
Nobody knows your melancholy mind -
Little queen
Raining Raining- he knows your Soul ain't free
Raining Raining- he feels you little queen
Slipping away with your gypsy band
Hot on your music and playing a winning hand
He was standing in the line, thinking how you
Moved his mind

Well done... I think it might music kept on playing from your *pad* though (70s slang for where you live)
THE QUEEN OF ROCK NO DOUBT! THE GREATEST AND SEXIEST!!!
You can tell the drummer is a fan of John Bonham. Great drummer
Kevin.
Yeah, he's got a little funk in him .
Oh yeah! Anne even stated that Led Zeppelin was her favorite band!
@@guitarttimman Any musician worth a shit would say the same!
