I love the simplicity of your tutorials. I find them much easier to understand than most tutorials I’ve seen. Super helpful for my struggling combat performance! 🍻
Wonderful descriptive commentary, i've just switched over from Dual Joysticks to M+KB because of an motorcycle injury, it taken me a about a week to start feeling comfortable with the switch, and having to create an ever changing MKB Profile, but the accuracy and intuition i seem to have now in Pirate Swarm is an improvement over Joysticks for sure. Your ESP breakdown gave me a much needed grounding, and yes, there's a lot of tweaking there. I'm using 'Lead pip' more often than not, along with Gimbals, which im trying not to get to comfortable with. I'll checkout your other vids as i'm tweaking daily. Kudos
Sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you have a swift recovery! Hopefully the video can help ease your transition over to M&KB. Thanks for watching, more on the way!
I love the concept of those terminology cards. Now i don't have to google every word, and the video won't be slowed down. I wish everything had this option :D
Pretty cool, lowered my ESP zone from 8 to 4 because like you said i was undershooting alot, i now land on pip alot better. I could probably fine tune it a bit, but it does feel alot better.
I just start playing Arena Commander 2 weeks ago and it has been a humbling experience. These videos help allot, I am finally getting some kills in AC although I am far from the pros 😭. Keep up the work!
@@embi04 I am using a Hornet Ghost, but when you play Arena Commander the points you accumulate allows you to rent a majority of the fighter for free for 3 days. It a great way to experiment with different ships, load outs, and atmospheres. The cool part is the AC players aren't toxic it's pretty chill way to learn.
@@its5oclockcharlie Yes I I know I can rent anything just wonder what would be good starter ship for ppl on "this" level - beginners. I like Arrow but it has 1hp xd I like scorpius a lot - this is my choice for PvP I think
I just got started in dog fighting and had no idea ESP did that. Been struggling with my crosshair feeling "sticky" so glad to see how to rectify that.
I really appreciate your ability to describe and explain all the concepts. Specifically the lead/lag pips, it’s always been confusing with people on both sides recommending one over the other, rather than using both in their specific scenarios.
I needed to hear this pip discussion. I was getting so lazy and set in my lag pip ways. The right tool for the right job! Now give me some manoeuvres to mix with this aim!
I've always used LAG pip but after this video, you've given me a new appreciation for the LEAD pip and benefits!!! Keep these great videos coming Moist Noodle...!
This is actually my first video on your channel now that I''m trying to get better at pvp and WOW the terminology cards are so helpful! One of the reasons I struggled to watch AvengerOne for awhile is because he'd use terms I had never heard and it just made things 100x more confusing. This is a super helpful and incredibly compact video. Good work!
Really good breakdown of the topic with simple and easy to understand explanation. Helped a lot to understand what things mean and what to fiddle with when learning space combat.
Thank you. Learning the different application for the pips is beneficial. I didn't realise there was a button option to enable swapping. Do now and making the change.
Thanks for this! I'm never going to be a dedicated combat pilot but I'd like to get the basics down. So far your videos are a bit easier to follow than some others I've seen!
Thanks Noodle!!! Youve inspired me to work on my PIP settings...something I've been avoiding since 2016! You've explained it so well, I have no choice but to set it all up now!
Another great guide, Noodle!! The only thing I would add is to re-visit your ESP, curves, and other control settings every few months. As your skill increases and flying style evolves, you may find ESP fighting you again. Also, loved hearing you say to record. After action debrief is a thing in military and law enforcement for a reason. What did we do right? What can we do better? These are the questions to ask when watching. You can see so much more on the playback than when engrossed in combat.
Grateful this video popped up on my recommended videos. Husband and I have been trying to figure out how to set up our sensitives so we can fight better.
Nice explaining of this, had seen other videos and were confused how on earth they were aiming with the pip seeming to trail behind where they were aiming - now I get it
Finally I think I understand ESP now. I think my setting was default and I have never touched it, probably one of reasons I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat. Also, I was today years old when I learned what pip stood for, and I never thought about it as not just for gun aiming.
There are so many settings in SC that it most never even touch them. I didn’t know what ESP was so never played with it. Now I have to figure out how much I like.
WOW, instant like and subscribe! I have been playing this game for 2 weeks now and the amount of questions I have and the unavailability of answers is just mind buggingly insane. I kid you not, I watched hours of videos trying to find out some of these explanations you masterfully laid out in just a few minutes! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! 🙏
Welcome aboard! If you have any questions feel free to hop into my Discord. I'm working on a basic flight maneuvers video next, which you will probably find helpful. Make sure you're subbed!
Great quality video! Being an absolute combat noob - let alone pvp - I've never put much thought in my humble t16000 joystick settings as I felt pretty overwhelmed by the plethora of settings to go through. But your clear cut guide gave me the confidence to finally get round tweaking my settings. And hopefully achieve something more then crashing with style in my next dogfight. ^^
I switched to lag about a week after I started playing the game and find it far easier to use, but I know it's all preference. I've been playing for about a month now and love the game. I'm looking forward to more videos, brotha.
This video series really helps a new combat pilot understand both the on information on screen (which can be confusing/overwhelming) and how to utilize it to their advantage. Thanks for taking the time to break down the basics of combat and the different controller types. Also would like to add the pacing of the information is spot on and is easy to follow. Well done!
Noodle, these videos are well done dude, keep it up. I also use the method of momentary ESP, by binding ESP toggle to my second-stage trigger, where it is always off, unless firing. Also lead/ lap pip switching is very useful, as you have demonstrated here. Lead Pip at intercept/ long ranges is a good visual aid for getting the correct geometry to get to the merge, & switching to Lag Pip when pushing in at knife-fight ranges.
Fairly new to dogfighting and this is super helpful - I hadn't really understood how to read the PIP before. Definitely waiting to see the manoeuvres video also!
Have been keeping my eye on your for a while but this vid is the one that made me hit sub. The amount of effort that went into putting this together is obviously quite high, and your delivery is paced just right. A+⭐️ will watch again.
Short and concise tutorial, really enjoyed it. I've been playing SC for years, but haven't really been interested in PVP until recently. Thanks for putting in the effort to make these o7
Probably good to talk about lag pursuit versus hot pursuit . If you ship is at a higher speed and you want to maintain speed you don’t want to head at the pip with hot pursuit, you want to take an approach behind it.
Very educational video. I learned a lot of new things for myself, in particular, I didn’t know that you can switch PIP on the fly. Thank you very much!
I’ve definitely heard about tuning esp before but I’ve never had it broken down quite as well as you have. Thanks for the great info, gonna go out it to use and re-tune my esp! o7
I think it's always important for people to understand WHY they need to do something, rather than just telling them what to do. That way they can work other things out for themselves.

I love your description of ESP, and out of all the pilot tutorials I watch I think you are the only one who spells out what the ESP acronym stands for. I'm about to just turn my ESP off and train raw input.
This explanation can’t be more simple than you explained. Thanks, I’m more like cargo and exploring (that don’t exist yet), but now I’m on bounty hunt path….. you helped. Idea for new video: targeting specific part of ship that is weaker and how to change in fly that targeting. For example on cutlass I always target engine and send them to spiral 🌀 death 😇
Ah thank you so much, i've been looking through beginner bounty videos for days and this is the first one that has us excited/brave enough to get in there. It finally makes sense, liked and subscribed 🙌
The only way to get better at it is to just jump in. Die more to die less! Next video is about Basic Flight Maneuvers. Hopefully that one will help too!
I did my first (very low threat) bounty attempt in my upgraded Aurora MR. Got two extra guns, improved missiles, shields etc. I failed horribly lol. I thought I had it down with the controls but it didn't go as planned. And I don't really understand the use of powering shields and engines during combat. Anyway, after a lot of chaotic shooting the targets bodyguard rammed into my ship and lost the whole one side of the Aurora. Somehow I was able to keep it in the air for a while but eventually they downed me with a missile. So, I went back to mining, to ease the pain of the humiliating defeat... :D
Really good information here. I'm going to be tweaking my ESP settings, as I have seen the PIP bouncing away from my target quite a bit. Hopefully that will help! Thanks for the work you put into your videos, really great job.

I've dogfighted a ton in DCS, so I do very much prefer the lag pip, but you make some good points about the lead pip. Honestly, it'd be nice to have the option to show both, seamlessly switching between them.
