- just for fun project, started as a test, then I added more and more stuff...just something else than creating HUGE environments all the time! :)

Awesome, love to see V-Ray being used for this type of work and not just boring ArchVIz! Great stuff! If interested in feedback this would be what I noticed:
- Overall materials feel a bit too much on the diffuse side, would be more interesting if the metals differentiate with stronger specular highlights or some highlights in general.
- Stronger light from the car passing by would create a more dramatic impact, at the moment I think it is very subtle. Some moving specular highlights on the metals would be nice.
- There is a lot of moving splotches in the shadows, are these denoising artifacts or camera noise? If later I think the scaling is off
- Bus stop has some weird triangle shape? Overall bus stop area feeling is somewhat game-ish, like it's rendered with a gameengine instead of accurate raytracing. Not sure why though 🙂
- Some subtle bloom/flare on the lights would help understand their relative brightness
- Fur on the cat is probably overkill for this shot 🙂
Keep up the great stuff! Cheers!
Hi Jonas, I just watched your lesson🙂 and here you are😀
Thanks Jonas! Btw I sent you an insta DM some time ago!

@@stfVFX Ok, I'm not very frequently on Insta, but weirdly I have never received anything it seems 🧐
@@JonasNoell check message requests!
@@stfVFX Oh weird, didn't show up in Insta but somehow on Facebook. Anyway both platforms I normally only open once every couple of months ,🙂 Anyway good to see some nice V-Ray content in your channel, will frequently revisit. Subscribed! 🙂
could you please release a full tutorial, or even a course? I would love see your workflow and learn alot from you.
This is awesome, great job!
If I might, I can offer some unsolicited feedback on the lens distortion.
Typically wide angle lenses produce barrel-type distortion, while telephoto lenses will produce the pin-cushion type distortion. It looks like this shot used a relatively wide lens, which would make me expect to see a barrel distortion instead of a pin-cushion which was used here.
Of course this is art and there are no rules, but it looked like you were going for realism in this, so thought I'd give some of my thoughts! Regardless, it's an awesome shot and you did great with it!
Thanks! Yea i noticed that too.. just the available lens distortions I have are not those. I am currently looking for ST maps for that. Feel free to share if you have some :)
Amazing, as usual. Thanks for getting the most out of FP :)
great work steffen, love the result.
this looks awesome some people can never be satisfied and will look for the negativity and share it with you, keep up the work
beautiful work
Amazing work brother👍
you' are an amazing artist
Good job
v-ray for cg movies wow! beautiful result.
I love, love the atmosphere of this sequence. Stunning work overall, maybe the human is a bit too bright, but that's a small nitpick. Is there a chance of a detailed breakdown of this one?
not planned for this one. sorry :) I am not saying anything new here so I dont think it would be worth it. its very similar workflow to what I did for my Good Times Grocery scene
@@stfVFX Understandable! Looking forward to your next masterpiece, and thank you for all the valuable breakdowns you've made available on gumroad, they're a goldmine of knowledge.
awesome work
MAN, ONE DAY I'LL BE LIKE YOU AS AN ARTIST! HUGE ADMIRER OF YOUR WORK :)
Casual ferrari modulo concept going through there haha, nice scene tho
haha yeah I had this free model on my linked in and it was a perfect match imo haha
good god man. so good.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWW
Not much to say other than great work man
As always verry impressive renders. Would like to see how you made it and what's your workflow
The work, as always, is very atmospheric and realistic😍. Will there be a Breakdown?😊
Thanks! But not this time. Sorry. 😞
Love!
Very good
Really impressive, where do you get your assets from?
It's so cool. How did you implement the effect of moving objects on the road when a car passes by?
Tyflow :)
👏👏👏
Looks amazing.. only catch is the protagonist itself looks blown out and like cell shading/two tone and the glass_srf, broken normals? and shading.. The triangular shading looks like there is mesh issue... Am I right? Besides that as always impressive work!
Yeah its the curse of 3d scanned people sometimes.. wish I had a real human cg double or so lol
@@stfVFX Yes this true.. Maybe go for CC4 Characters.. or use Metahumans, and just render the person in Unreal Engine. Besides that on top the Light contribution of the device is maybe to strong too.. I would do a paint over.. even with Ai in PS.. Because for me this destroys this amazing shot.. It is worth it! Happy to see more of your work!
need full tutorial🤩🤩
now everything is visible. Great.
How long does these renders usually take? Its amazing
rendertimes were 18 minutes / frame..overall it took me 3 weeks or so to create, I didnt work on it for a lot of days though.
@@stfVFX i could imagine with this level of detail! Do you send it to a farm or render from your own pc?
@@GamersDk123 both works. I have a pretty good PC. I rendered on foxrenderfarm cause I had leftover credits. But 18 min/frame locally is not too bad
you made the cat animation?
no I got the model and animation from sketchfab for free :)
@@stfVFX ty never heard of it, I was browsing for birds to fill a building.
cycle is better😏😏😏😏😏😏
😀👍
