POV: You realise that the chinese tree isn't trash but its actually good
Oh it's got some interesting stuff for sure. You just have to get through the earlier tiers where it's kind of all over the place.
Early Tiers are copy and paste, once you get into the domestic vehicles, theyre super duper fun.
I'm glad i grinded the Chinese tree very early on, so now i get all the neat stuff.

Well not all of the Chinese mid Cold War stuff was licensed from the USSR. The Type 69 onward is reverse engineering and domestic design, China having captured a T-62 from the Soviets during a border skirmish. And the Chinese got the license for the L7 and continues to modernize the cannon to this day. They’re a weird blend of East and West. They even wanted to license the Leopard 2.
It's basically a Chinese copy of the BMP-3 turret (Including copies of the 100mm & 30mm gun) placed onto a new Chinese designed hull.

Definitely once you get to the ZTZ88's is when the tree gets really, really fun. I recommend the tree for sure!

There's a particular vehicle that's really good at confronting 2S38, at least in game. It's the PUMA. 2S38 cannot easily kill the PUMA frontally, but only disabling the engine or possibly killing the driver. The PUMA however, doesn't have the penetration to deal with MBTs, has slightly faster rate of fire and the APFSDS with 120 mm of pen is more than enough to shred the 3 crews sitting at the front of the 2S38, in a matter of seconds.

Also, did they update the spikes? The last few times I've used the vilkas, I'm 1 for 1 for every missile I've fired, and getting crazy locks on people behind stuff.
It might be less buggy now. Missiles in general seem more predictable too. I recently got some kills with the LOSAT lol
even the first bmp isnt a liscenced copy but a direct copy, anything with a chinese zbd ztz ect designation is chinese own made although copys yes. this was after they stopped buying soviet vehicles and developed their own.
This is basically a BMP3 clone. with just enough difference to say they didn't steal the plans... they stole.

I sometimes wonder how is that the guy who is real tank commander can "suck" at game filled with tanks. I'm not complaining about skill issue, it can happen to everyone. It's just lack of knowledge, I assumed if you work as tanker you could learn thing or two. I guess he's german main :p
Skills and tactics from IRL tank operations don't translate pretty much at all to War Thunder.
@@PanzerPaw yep, high/top tier is very much "point and click" it's very understandable how your experiences with tanks don't improve your gameplay.
Imagine being so clueless to think real life experience can translate well into a (un)realistic video game.
True but also, the other players have a lot less of a sense of self-preservation compared to IRL (lol) so the tactics will be different.
@@PanzerPaw It's kinda obvious that gameplay can't be translated into reality due to game bugs or in-game render thing (draw distance etc.). I was refering to tank knowledge, you compared that IFV to BMP-1 but it's clearly BMP-3 rip-off (as most of the chinesee tech tree...are rip-off's).
I'm not complaining about gameplay but lack of knowledge. Few days ago you posted video about history of Leopard 2 and it was awesome but when you are talking about other vehicles my thoughts are "it's the same guy?". Just that.
Honestly the Chinese bmp doesn't look that great probably because it's Chinese because of the stereotype where anything Chinese is terrible 😭💀
