Part of what makes Cary so unique is this incredibly handsome suave man is not afraid to cut up,and be the goof- audiences love opposites in a actor. They like to be surprised. Cary surprises in a natural way.
Oh my God he is so funny. I love Cary Grant, the most handsome man in Hollywood. He was not just a pretty face, but an entertainer and a comedian, and look at hes steps, he is so charming and funny, I love this scene.
I love this scene so much I always rewind and go back to this scene everytime I watch Indiscreet. The first time I saw this scene, I am in tears from laughing so hard.
Cary had the physical comedy down pat & do disarmingly charming & likeable. Funny & who didn't love his accent? Loved him in Arsenic & Old Lace film. The Philadelphia Story & the films with Katherine Hepburn. With a name like Archibald ( last name escapes me) he just had to succeed.. Tall, handsome, charming & his wit & accent so good looking. I'm 64 now & he's still one of my fav actors for many reasons. Debonair, not many of today's actors can claim those attributes. David Niven was another actor who was charming & had that great British accent. Well anyway RIP Cary Grant. Randolph Scott another handsome actor in his time.❤
I've always loved Gary grant ,he was such an entertainer+funny to the extent of such fun watching him acting ,🍄🙌🙌😵🙌✌he had a bit if that turn on tune in drop out way in him😵😵😵😵🍄🍄🍄🍄😜🌈✌✌💟💟💟😘🙌Gary u rock,r,I,p,my friend 😘💟👍✌
But he was always getting this “But you don’t look like Cary Grant” from clerks and officials. Which means he know how to act for the camera and be himself when off. Yet he always wore clothes exceedingly well.
How do I get myself invited to such a ball? I'm ready to go! Grant dances wonderfully, but I could not take my eyes off the gorgeous, stunning Ingrid Bergman.
You can see the years of treading the boards in London's vaudeville prepared him well for Hollywood and he showed America what a real actor should be!!...he made it look so natural though I'm sure thay spent weeks rehearsing and hours filming it....the man was all class!!.😎
Ironically, the boaster who thinks "He showed America what a real actor should be" fails to understand that had Grant stayed in the UK, he would never have achieved the level of success he did in America. Grant became a US citizen in 1942, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and was a very patriotic American. Read his daughter's memoir. He loved the USA and was proud to be a citizen.
Those facial expressions she made were perfect! I dare any modern actress from now to try and do the same with their face and make me laugh half as much!
In the movie, Bergman is playing an unmarried actress and Grant is in Paris working for NATO. He's told her he's a married man though separated while they're "dating" and she's just found out secretly that he really was never married at all and has always been single. He doesn't know that she knows the truth so she's having a little fun with her secret knowledge of what his true status is and is faking to be happy the whole evening while she's annoyed at how jolly he's being. It's hilarious.
I can't help but notice that Cary has similar dance moves as Curly in the Three Stooges. In Arsnic and Lace, Cary kept giving Curly's high pitch frustrated whine. Who or which came first I wonder?
cary grant strong man needs to be given credit as he was raised alone at a boarding school his mum in mental hospital and his dad remarried and got rid off cary to a boarding school ,
When you think about it his back story is remarkable and should be part of everyone’s education of how to survive. I think he understood women very well and lived in abundance. He managed his assets but was generous when the right cause came along. As a child growing up in the 60s it was always reported on TV when he was in town and if you want to hear his West Country accent listen to how he says “World” when accepting his Oscar. The same speech could be made today by any leader of the Hollywood Industry. Such a pleasure to find the master of cool charisma as I retire at virtually the same age as he did.😎 I am taking notes.
Sono arrabbiatissima avevano messo in programma il film Un'amore splendido e poi non l,hanno fatto sarebbe stato come una boccata d,ossigeno di questi tempi....
Would someone be able to give me some context into this movie? I stumbled on this through another Cary Grant video and I'm afraid i've on heard the name Ingrid Bergman, I really have no idea whats going on here!! LOL :p help
E' in questo film:"come osa venire a letto con me senza essere sposato!:"......ma non ricordo il titolo del film....per Lei Lui era gia' sposato....cosi Lui Le aveva fatto credere
Women were so beautiful the way they dressed. None of this skin tight cut up to the hip and low cut dresses the young women wear today. They say fashion repeats itself but I don’t see it.
