Amazing EQ. I´m a gamer and a music fan, personally love high bass so I changed (for Corsair Virtuoso XT) the second column (64hz) to +10db. This little change plus your configuration works amazing for either gaming or hearing music. Loved your video, helped a lot!!
I appreciate the clarity with just a hint of depth in this video. I picked up the Razer Kraken V3's and I knew the out of the box sound was not all they were capable of, but I was just making them worse. This was user friendly and gave me hope!
I’m using a Logitech G Pro X. I downloaded the most popular community made EQ preset. I believe it was called “Sound 3.0”. The pattern was very similar to your EQ set with the values on the right side being slightly higher. I personally liked your preset more, it was really well balanced overall and the bass wasn’t overdone. Well done!

I just got the Corsair HS65 and I had to boost the bass just a bit more than he did I like things to be more warm, but his corsair starting point was extremely helpful. This video holds true in 2023
I test all my headsets with the same song so that way I get a balance of a lot of different sound combinations at the same time plus vocals. Trivium: In Waves starting at 90 seconds. I tried your eq but not on the virtuosos but the HS70 pros and it was way to tinny in the highs (for me) , I find it’s always best to start flat and move sliders from there and once you get a sound you like to lower them as much without affecting it. I’m running +8, +4, +2, +1, +1, +2, +2, +3, +2, +4 on the HS70s and that is give me a nice sound on the warm side. I do like my bass to hit but not muddy like the movies preset but I find if the highs are to high it’s fatiguing to listen to for long periods.
Dude you saved me so much time I just got the Logitech g733 and tbh im not happy with the audio it sucks they are comfy, and the design is nice, but the sound is horrible even with all their software presets the surround sounds way too bad too. Luckily with your settings they sound so much better sound great with it. Thanks for sharing!!

I’m home sick and watched massive amount of content. I’m using steelseries 7plus with a DAC I bought. Your settings for COD and hearing footsteps etc is very well done. I tweaked mine a little, however you nailed it Thank you. Also the software has been updated on Steel Series sight to include the 13 channels for 7 Series at least.. I;ve had my VOID Wireless Elite headset for almost 4 years, its quite cheap and I've never adjusted the EQ once. Tried this not expecting anything and it made it sound like a much more expensive higher quality headset. Ur doing god's work!

This helped me so much with my Krakens to get rid of the Muddy or Muffled sound I was having and just made everything so much better than I already had it. This also helped my Astros pick up foot steps in games like Halo so much better. Honestly cannot thank you enough
Thank you! I decided to buy the Corsair Virtuoso XT after using the Astro A50 for a long time, the headpiece even started to fall out sometimes. At first I wasn't very happy with the Virtuoso's sound quality compared to my amazing A50. But with your settings they got so much better, like they finally woke up from sleeping inside the box.
I have what I think is an awesome EQ setting for the corsair. If you don't mind, I am going to put it here. This way other people can play around with it. I used the Virtuoso XT settings for my Void Pro RGB, on Equalizer APO, and WOW, thank you Techne, these settings seem to be perfect and the bonus is there doesn't seem to be any audio clipping, at least none that EQ Apo is showing.
I love having to come back to this video every few months because an update to icue breaks it causing me to uninstall the software. Then forgetting the eq settings.
When it comes to headsets. This is the guy to look for. Been looking for the best EQ for my Corsair Void. I was about to purchase Dolby Access but you saved me from spending money with the iCue equalizer settings. Still thinking of purchasing Dolby once I get an extra but for now your suggestion works well!

I used pretty much the same equalizer settings of the Blacksharks for my 2019 Krakens and i can tell that these settings sound significantly better, still on the bassy side, but everything doesn't sound like it's sort of muffled up together anymore. Thanks!

I use a Corsair Virtuoso headset and my EQ is from left to right = +8 , +6 , +4 , +1 , 0 , +1 , +2 , +4 , +6 , +8 To me this is the best combination of high's and low's. Sounds good playing music and playing games without having to adjust anything. I like a significant amount of bass when I game. For example when playing FPS shooters like BF2042 the explosions and gun fire sounds so good. It really immerses me into the game more.
loved the video and like the idea of going deeper into the EQs, but is there a chance that i could get you to show or explain your eq of sennheiser headset, or are they simple good enough out of the box? Keep up the good work Techne
My arctis pro wireless only has 5 eq adjustments, so I purchased Dolby Atmos and copied your eq directly to my dolby eq and oh my thank you! Dolby imo is just a way better route anyway. It has 10 eq adjustments as opposed to the stock 5.

Damn, I tought the sound of my Arctics Pro was already awesome with the default EQ but this just brought them to the next level.
I made these EQ adjustments using the Dolby Atmos app for my Corsair Virtuoso XTs; it made a HUGE difference! Highly recommended. Thank you!

it depends on the game.. in mw2 2022 for example, footsteps are pretty low in that game so a little bassier settings help with that

He's right about the Penrose because when you adjust the sliders it activates a limiter which squashes the eq and volume.

You need to do this for the more economical headsets! Most for us have $150 and less cans!
Using windows eq, you can replicate his settings if you dont have a dedicated dac amp or software for your equalizer.
