I had both too, and of all the top tier gaming headsets I'd probably go with the Stealth Pros too apart from comfort. I had to return mine because of the pressure points it was giving me on the top of my head. I actually thought the Maxwell did a great job comfort wise in light of the weight.
I think they sound average and they’re heavy. Constant high pitch squelch noises when removing them on and off of my head. Super loud “power on” voice noise, super delayed and loud “USB Dongle” link voice notification. Can’t wireless connect phone and Xbox together. Stupid. Totally feel like I over paid for a ultra heavy headset, and the clamp force is super tight, headache after 1hr. I have at home the Maxwell (but ready for return) and I tried the Stealth pro. Unfortunately le maxwell They have a less precise and "clean" surround of the mobius... In the Stealth instead have a sound that, accustomed to magnetoplantar, I do not like: the sounds seem to have less detail, such as
If some shades mix with each other
@@fifagijust use the footsteps eq lol ur so dumb. Maxwells is best for footsteps
Hey man, your videos helped me narrow down the headset search!
I still struggle with the final decision tho… would you go for Audeze Maxwell which would cost me around 400$ and I would get them some time in June or Arctis Nova Pro which I could get rn for 300$? I wanted the Maxwell but I didnt expect this shipping cost…
or I was also thinking about getting a DAC, studio headphones and custom mic…
honestly i would get audeze maxwell over the other options, but the fact that you have to pay a lot more for shipping and waiting, you could just be enjoying gaming now and cheaper with an arctis nova pro is probably do that instead
@@ryanhostudio I dont mind waiting but paying over a 100 just for shipping is crazy to me haha.
Also thinking about the more “studio” setup approach but I think I wont be able to hear the difference same as lets say you would haha.
But having a better mic would be great! Maybe I just get the Nova rn and spend the money I would spend on the shipping on a new standalone mic instead
Thanks for the update video. How is the maxwell for fps footsteps?
One of the best you can buy for FPS in general, especially footsteps! Clarity and imaging are Incredible!
@@Mike_TNVol4Life many thanks for your response
really good! i left my valorant gameplay clips at the end of video but I hit ascendant rank with it
@@ryanhostudio thanks for the response much appreciated. Just that one youtuber it's saying its not good for footsteps. But great at everything else
@@ryanhostudiocan you please tell me how I can make the footstep imaging better man? I can’t tell where footsteps are coming from with this headset. I’m starting to think I received a faulty product
Gahh mine are expected to come in May 28th.. Waiting 2 months while seeing all these reviews is really testing my patience haha
Has the package arrived yet?
Audeze maxwell v epos pc38x for strictly gaming which would you choose and why? Many thanks in advance
audeze maxwell i generally just like sound quality. But if your looking for lighter for long gaming hours and better directional accuracy than the pc38x
@@ryanhostudio many thanks for your response
Much appreciated. I want the best of both worlds ideally. Best sound with best directional accuracy. In a wireless headset. I currently have the steelseries nova pro wireless. And have the audeze maxwell on back order
hi,,,,what do you think about turtle beach stealth pro? which is better betwee maxwell or turtle beach for gaming?
hi i havent heard the turtle beach stealth pro yet
@@ryanhostudio a lot of people said tha are amazing headset for gaming and maxwell are better for music
@@darkjacob886 i think depends what type of games your playing, if your competitive fps than you are looking for just good directional accuracy, if its story mode your just looking for good sound quality.
End of the day I use maxwell to play valorant all day and its good enough
@@darkjacob886 After using good quality (or higher) magnetoplantar headphones to play video games, it is difficult to return to the "classics". Cleanliness is sound accuracy is of another level
@@fifagi for you maxwell are the best?
Thank you very much for this video. Do not hesitate between the Maxwell and the DT 900 pro X. The council the council you? I mainly play Warzone
Hi great video! Do you have problem with heat and weight of maxwell?
i don’t have issue with heat but maxwell i usually start getting tired of wearing it after a couple of hours since it’s heavy
Great review!
I found edition XS, Ananda v3, Ananda BT and Maxwell for around the same price point.
What is your recommendation?
Sound quality is my priority and I do like to have an immersive experience with more fun tuning that a neutral sound signature.
definitely the maxwell, it’s a better tuning than the rest
Is XBOX version that much better? It costs around 100 dollars more in my country, so I am not sure should I just go for the PlayStation version.
Thanks for this follow up, appreciate it. Would the Dolby EQ and the one set on the device ( via the Audeze app), not conflict with eachother or compound on eachother?
ps: damn you, I bought the Epos on your recommendation and now these too.
i think they would compound on each other. I would not use any EQ with Dolby and just stick with audeze app. But the maxwell sounds so goood xD
@@ryanhostudio Ah ok, so if I use Dolby on PC, then the flat Dolby EQ wouldn't supersede the Maxwell's EQ? I can therefore just use the Dolby as a Codec, and the Audeze app set the EQ on the hardware effectively?
@@xWaxxy your statement is correct!
I just purchased the Audeze Maxwell and it is the best sounding headset I have ever owned. I was concerned about the weight as you and other reviewers have complained about it. I actually laughed when putting on the headset and playing for hours because the weight is nothing. Sure it weighs slightly more than other plastic made gaming headsets, but it is nothing as drastic as many make it out to be. Stop being a girly man ;)
yeah not everyone has strong necks like us
i returned my Audeze Maxwell, because in videogames i prefere the audio of my old Audeze Mobius (for spatial audio)
Do you think mibius is better for footstep directions?
@@nunyabidness5835 yes
@@fifagi sheesh. I’m about to return the maxwells. They are so horrible for location footstep direction
@@nunyabidness5835 the problem is dolby atmos... Whit sonos are better... But still worse than mobius
@@fifagi there’s some program called DTS headphone X or something along those lines. I will buy this and try it out and if it doesn’t make the imaging quality any better do you recommend I just get the mobius?
I ended up returning mine and got the Turtle Beach Stealth Pros and they are def much better for gaming imo. The Maxwell are far too heavy and meant more for music for sure.
yeah the weight is understandable because penrose was lighter but made of plastic and broke too often, so they made the maxwell more sturdy
For gaming the Maxwell is the best headset and this far from the turtle pro ! especially for ESL as all the pros can say the clarity of this headset are just phenomenal ! The good point of Turtle Beach is the the clarity of boost of the footsteps but you can adjust the boost bass on the Maxwell ! out of the box is unbeatable !
im thinking to buy a new headsetso im just wondering is stealth pro better for gaming because i was thinking to buy audeze heard a lot good things about it
I tend to agree with that comparison, I tried Penrose vs stealth pro. imaging seems better. I would imagine Maxwell is near enough same as Penrose in terms of sound
I had both too, and of all the top tier gaming headsets I'd probably go with the Stealth Pros too apart from comfort. I had to return mine because of the pressure points it was giving me on the top of my head.
I actually thought the Maxwell did a great job comfort wise in light of the weight.
The Maxwell as been beat by the new turtle beach pro
i haven’t heard it but i highly doubt it lol
@@ryanhostudio no honestly
@@ryanhostudio I have Maxwell stealth pro nova pro I’m selling my move pro maybe Maxwell to these new turtle beach hit different
@@Kehoe3131 I tried the Stealth pro and for me they are not superior... But i play fps and I prefer mobius to the maxwell
Why do you watch this video then lmao, you just bummed out you bought that shitty turtle beach and now regret you didn't get the Maxwell
Vocal fry 🙊
I think they sound average and they’re heavy. Constant high pitch squelch noises when removing them on and off of my head. Super loud “power on” voice noise, super delayed and loud “USB Dongle” link voice notification.
Can’t wireless connect phone and Xbox together. Stupid.
Totally feel like I over paid for a ultra heavy headset, and the clamp force is super tight, headache after 1hr.
Not much difference in EQ or Dolby atmos than what I heard putting them on right out of the box. All EQ presets sound the same. Like 100% the same. So weird.
Not a very ideal for gaming in my opinion
weight definitely not ideal for streaming or gaming for long hours but sound quality is exceptional
ESL players say that the maxwell is the king of FPS games !
@@lalicdalibor1367 Don't bash me, just wanted to ask, can you provide the source :)?
@@basicallytroll2705 I don t bash you ! source is from all those marketing youtuber who make "semi professional review"LOL ! Between top10 professionnal players who play warzone 4 of them use Maxwell now for example since 3 months !
