- Pulling a vacuum is a common part of air conditioning repairs. Vacuums are used to evacuate ACs, a process by which they pull out all air and moisture from the refrigerant system prior to testing, repairs, and recharging. Generally, this is best done by an HVAC professional.
An air conditioning vacuum pump is used to remove unwanted air and water vapor from the air conditioning system when it is under service. When the air conditioner needs to be repaired, the first step taken is usually to recover the refrigerant from the system for reuse later.
Once the recovery job has been done, you can now proceed to do the necessary troubleshooting and repair work. The next step is to check and make sure that the system is leak-free else steps will have to be taken to rectify this.
The evacuation process is the next step in which the vacuum pump is used to remove the air and moisture from the refrigerant system. Once this is done, the charging process can be carried out before doing a full test on the system.

In inverter AC the outdoor unit is mild current shock, if i keep tester on outdoor unit light in glowing in tester is normal?
Ground connection are good it shows around 5 volt while testing ground and netural in multimeter

Bro, in my split AC 1.5ton,very often the discharge as an ice formation.i checked with 3 mechanic, in that the first one said the indoor unit u tube as got leak and he says d he as welded. And at the time of installing he suddenly said the compr essor is not working. So I called the 2 mechanic he made the compressor run with is technique of work, but he didn't close the net in the discharge properly so again ice formation.And he said the indoor unit as to be changed. Finally I called the another mechanic and this guy checked with pressure compressor and said everything is fine, and he found out there was a leak at the discharge tube small copper line net. So he again filled the gas and the ac was running good for 20 days, and again there is ice formation in the discharge line. I am really fedup of the same issue again and again. Bro can you solve my issue .

So finally I brought a new carrier 1.5 ton non inverter model the installation people accepted to put vaccum as you have suggested 🙂
