  • The Almond Beanie is an easy crochet beanie with a beautiful texture! This is one design that you will want to make again and again.
    This easy design is worked side to side instead of in the traditional bottom up or top down method. The wonderful thing about working the beanie side to side is is that it's easily customizable.
    A free written copy of this pattern can be found on my ad supported blog: richtexturescr...

    This is amazing. When I'm done with my commissions I'm going to make these with the hope that Dana Farber Cancer institute, where my husband goes for his treatments, starts taking donations again.
    He goes weekly for infusions, and I would bring a basket every week of hats to put on the donation table. And when covid started they stopped taking donations. Like the yarn could carry the virus. But regardless I'm going to make these, and sell them. Thank you so much for this pattern!
    One of my most favorite yarns also used for this pattern. I have about 50 balls of it!
    Have a great day. Stay safe, stay healthy.

    I love the textured look of this hat. I am working on it but can't get it to come out right with 40 stitches. I ripped it out 4 or 5 times. Since the brim is 10 stitches and the rest of each row is worked in multiples of 4, I finally started with a chain of 38 stitches. That gives 10 stitches for the brim and 28 stitches which divides into 7 multiples of 4. The pattern is working for me with that alteration.

      Same here, so frustrating. I'm going to do 39 skip 1 then stay pattern for 38 stitches left. Before I kept having 1 stitch left over

      Try with 46 stitches. Ten stiches for the brim and the rest is 5

    you are just the bomb diggity.. I love to listen to your voice as you teach.. Reminds me an elementary school teacher.. You always leave me with my mouth open to find I can do something that sounds so daunting. {btw} I ordered 6 more Rowan Crochet hooks. They work just beautifully.. I highly recommend them folks.

    thanks, lovely hat. I took a bit of the bulk out of the top by doing a single crochet instead of a half double crochet in the first 8 stitches of the crown end. It keeps the pattern going with a little less bulk

    Hi There....question....when you talk about joining the seam at 15 mins 16 seconds, you indicate the have the beanie "right side out", then you say "turn right side out after closing magic loop" at 16 mins 30 seconds. So I am a bit confused....when joining the side seam shouldn't this be 'right sides together, wrong side out' ?. Thank you. Gorgeous pattern ! Stunning.

    How many rows did you do for this pattern

  • @DMB088
    @DMB088 5 місяців тому

    This is at least 2 years old now, but before steaming, you said to have the hat ride sides out. Then you seamed it and said to turn it right side out. I'm guessing it's supposed to be wrong side out while seaming?
    I've been making different pattern hats to try different stitches and patterns, and this will be my next one!

    I am doing exactly what you say but I always end with the half double instead of the slip stitch.. I slip stitch 10 then 4 more then 4 half double and so on and I end with the 4 half doubles.. Can't figure it out..

    It looks like you’re working in the “third loop” rather than the “back loop.”

    • @jonnay4581
      @jonnay4581 2 роки тому

      No, it really is the back loop. The "3rd loops" of the hdc sts you made in the previous row are always facing towards you since you turn the work after every row. And also slip sts don't even have 3rd loops.
