      @@psychosynthesis_selfmastery hm okkay, I have an interesting memory so I dont always know for sure. This video was actually quite profound for me because ive been trying to put words to my experience of coming to understand myself as autistic+adhd. and have tried to explain it as a "life flashed before my eyes" kind of experience. And its a process I can trace back the last 1-2 years and have a sense of awe about how it was unfolding under the surface, not conscious of it. Its kind of a magical feeling even though its painful. I sense that people dont really know what to say about that when i try to explain. But you both knew what to say about it and its reassuring. I am looking forward to watching more videos

      @@Krista-388 Hi Krista, Thank you for your positive feedback. I am happy that we provided you with something valuable. Let me add a little note and positive piece of advice concerning diagnosis. It is important in my perspective, as I have been working in social psychiatry for 10 years, that we think of a diagnosis as only a part of you; it is not all of you nor the most essential aspect of you. It is a - perhaps - temporary pattern of behavior that we must understand and address as an important part of a healing journey. Much love to your unfolding journey to self-discovery.

      @@psychosynthesis_selfmastery Interesting to consider this, as I hadn't before. Maybe you have another video that could help me with this wonder I have about diagnosis and self or maybe you can help. Maybe im not completely understanding. How can I see the diagnosis as only a part of me, when it very much feels like all of me and that has been well, confusing I guess. but also a sense of knowing and understanding of myself I never had. this is a very interesting part of life im going through!
      also what is your understanding/definition of a diagnosis? maybe that will help me relate to it.

      @psychosynthesis_selfmastery  18 днів тому +2

      @@Krista-388, your diagnosis describes a pattern of behavior. That pattern of behavior (diagnosis) more or less defines a PARTICULAR set of personality traits, not your general identity. Try to identify all the ways you don't comply with the diagnosis, and you will see that neither you nor anyone else can be encapsulated in a diagnosis. People are way too complex to be pigeonholed into such a limited description. The essential you is the one who observes your life patterns, and not your feelings, thoughts, and sensations. I know this is difficult to understand because often we are so identified with our feelings that we don't recognize our deeper nature. We call it disidentification and self-identification in psychosynthesis, and I will recommend that you read chapters 4-6 of my book, The Soul of Psychosynthesis: kennethsorensen.dk/en/chapter-4-disidentification-the-way-to-freedom/ I don't have a video that explains it yet, but I will create one in the future.
