The US Gymnastic submitted an Appeal. They have video evidence showing that they submitted the inquiries 47 seconds after the score was posted. Followed by another inquiry at 55 seconds.

Another strange point is that all gymnast coaching staff get 3 minutes to appeal, but the last gymnast only gets 1 minute. How is that fair? The issue is the judges made the initial scoring error so they should be penalized.

I don't understand why you would have to argue with the judges in the first place. if the judges got the score card wrong, why would that fall back on the coaches within 1 minute? That doesn't make sense in itself

Also if the judges had scored her correctly in the first place there would not have been a need to challenge the score.

This is BS. The matter that is not being discussed is the fact that the judges screwed up with the scoring. Scoring in gymnastics is getting as bad as things are with figure skating. That’s why I stop watching that sport years ago.

Thank you for saying that because I was getting frustrated just listening to this Podcaster tell the story all wrong

@@johnfields7116 So true. Figure skating is worst. I love FS but I stopped watching until the year before 2022 Olympics. When the Russians were banned the judges are not so obvious in their scoring.

I’m confused because if they don’t have a way to time it, how did they know it was 4 seconds too late? The math ain’t mathin

ATP there needs to be a co-bronze. Because they keep going back and forth. It’s gotta be horrible for both athletes

Big fan of yours Quita, but Chiles actual was the bronze winner (because the protest proved it). The USA coach and those 4 seconds cost Chiles the bronze.

Why did they allow the accept the appeal in the first place then? If it was too late it should have been too late at that moment

not really because the score for the Romanian girl was also wrong and they didnt review her grade

US did not know of the appeal to CAS. They were not even heard.

I just read that team. USA has submitted a counter claim with video evidence showing that the challenge was submitted in time. So she may be able to keep her bronze.

The other interesting variable would be if the judges wrongly penalized a third gymnast for stepping out of bounds when she didn't step out. (I haven't found video of that yet claim yet, but I read that in an article.)
I read that if the lady that stepped out hadn't been penalized, her score would have beaten both Chiles of the USA and the woman from Romanian with higher score of 13.800. If true, maybe she didn't submit her challenge in time to be reinstated the correct scoring or 13.800
That would be terrible to put all three women through this misery and deprive them of their earned scores, positions, etc. in the same single event!

in the spirit of the olympics, give them both a bronze medal. going back and forth as nauseum is ridiculous

  • @mimij5015
    @mimij5015 23 дні тому

The judges were wrong in scoring. It doesn't take a week for them to find 4 seconds. It was always suspect. AND a CAS member has a conflict of interest towards Romania. Now, CAS refuses to look at the new video evidence. Jordan shouldn't give up that medal.

.1 was for degree of difficulty in her routine. She’ll keep her upgraded score but lose the bronze medal

I felt the judges scored Simone kinda low on some apparatus

  • @BrandonSmith-rb1bf

To be honest I can't see the coaches dropping the ball like that, they know the rules like the back of their hand. Im pretty sure they were ready to send that appeal WAY before Jordan even finished her routine. Im pretty sure they have people appealing the score card even if they know the points were counted correctly lol

the biggest thing IMO is that the judges discounted the Romanian girl for stepping out of bounds when she didnt and they didnt allow them to appeal and honestly from a spectator with no gymnastics knowledge I thought the Romanian girl had a way better routine
