- Ten years after Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down, the guilty are hiding in plain sight.
Two Russians and a Ukrainian have been convicted in absentia by a Dutch court for the murder of 298 people, but Russia refuses to hand them over, denying any involvement in the downing of the plane.
Investigators now believe Russian officials much higher up could be responsible - including President Vladimir Putin.
The Netherlands' chief prosecutor says there are "strong indications" that Putin personally signed off on supplying the missile that brought the plane down.

Those missiles and launchers were directly owned and used by the Ukrainians. The Russians have nothing to do with them. In fact, those missiles and launchers came from the Soviet era, the Russians no longer produce or use them. It is a fact that the Ukrainians have been keeping a large number of Soviet made weapons since their defence budget is cash strapped. In that video, the Ukrainians were using the same Russian language, In fact, Ukrainians are actually Russians.

Great work, All Jazeera! You do some of the finest reporting on almost everything happening today. You're probably my most watched news channel. The"Why" is mostly what haunted me through this whole report. Why would they shoot down that airliner, and if it was not deliberate, exactly what were they trying to shoot down? These questions haven't been addressed, and are probably not yet known.
Do you remember this - US in 1988 downed Iranian civil plane? Ukraine shot down a civil Russian Tu-154 on 2001? Iran on 2020 downed ukrainian passenger plane? Or it is DIFFERENT? Just so you know: the Dutch Hague court believes that MH17 was shot down too by mistake.

the Dutch Hague court did not establish that Russia downed MH17. It was ruled only that "the Buk-TELAR was brought from Russia." But now a lot of WEST weapons are being imported to Ukraine. Is WEST be held responsible for the deaths of civilians during war?

Who directed the civilian aircraft over the active war zone? It seems like a CIA op my opinion, they need to change the narrative and this is what they did with this incident.

UN Court clears Russia of financing terror in Ukraine, which led to Flight MH17 downing
After seven years, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague has ruled in Russia's favour over the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. The case was brought by Ukraine, who alleged that Russia violated an anti-terrorism treaty by supporting separatists in eastern Ukraine with military aid and financing.
In its verdict, the ICJ ruled that Ukraine did not prove that Russia knew its financing would be used for the purposes of terrorism, even if its weaponry was used to shoot down the aircraft, killing innocent civilians. Russia will not have to pay damages in the case.
The truth shall be revealed in due time.
What i want to know is why did not Malaysian Airlines re- route the plane away from a war zone,it makes sense to divert or cancel a flight.
Because no one thought that separatists are armed with advanced weaponry.

MH17 wasnt the only plane flying wtihin the airspace. Some basic research will show that at the very same time there was a Singapore Airlines flight and and Indian Airways flight right within the vicnity of the incident. That shows that it was accepted across the board that it was supposed to be safe for it to fly over Ukrainian airspace at Donetsk. The fact that someone violated that safety with a cruise missile is the bigger problem, not that the victims flew over a battlefield which by itself did not constitute a breach of aviation safety rules at that time.

Russia since the Malaysia airline accident always said that they destroyed this missiles because they are not efficient and they have more modern missiles but Ukraine like all old Soviet country also have it and even the US have this Soviet missiles and on the list of armaments that the US send to Ukraine on the beginning of the war, a lot of old Soviet armaments are on that list.

The silhouette of the missile shows clearly it is a Russian warhead. Malaysian Airlines is at fault for routing the flight over a war zone. I'd be idiot to fly on such route if I knew, and I'm sure the passengers didn't know.
The airspace was open to civil aviation because Russia failed to declare it as a warzone. Hundreds of civilian aircraft flown by many airlines flew through that airspace that week. A Singapore Airlines aircraft from Copenhagen to Singapore was flying mere minutes behind MH17. The area was an active civilian airway, commonly referred to as a highway in the sky.

According to search results, on October 4, 2001, a Russian passenger plane Tu-154 flying from Tel Aviv to Novosibirsk was shot down over the Black Sea. All 78 people on board were killed.
The investigation showed that the plane was shot down by Ukrainian military forces during air defense exercises. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksandr Kuzmuk and Air Force Commander Volodymyr Tkachov apologized for the incident, and Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma acknowledged Ukraine's responsibility. Several high-ranking military personnel were dismissed during the investigation.
Experts did not rule out the possibility that the cause of the crash could have been an explosive device on board the plane. However, the Ukrainian side insisted that the exact cause could not be reliably determined, as the "black boxes" of the Tu-154 were never found.
