Al Jazeera the number one propaganda channel. Excellent reporting on india but completely forgetting to report about anything bad about qatar or your rich neighbouring countries😂
Indian logic, just make a big noise to be even heard
@@KawXar2004 well, did they report anything bad about qatar or other wealthy middle eastern countries? Al Jazeera is worried about Indian asbestos but not about qatars terror funding 😂
Thank you 👍👏👏👏👏
Try to avoid disturbing nature's path
I’m shocked this stuff is actually still being used! It’s a hazard to humans!
Mostly in the developing world. Even then i think eventually all countries will realise that it's harmful to human health. However Asbestos mining is still profitable and therefore countries that have weak rule of law will be vulnerable to this industry. Even if it gets banned in India the vulture capitalists will go to Africa and the people there will suffer too.
@@deezeed2817 That’s just sad. If they had any real governments with actual regulation, they could save a lot of suffering. Makes me sick.
And animals
India really fails to capotalize on their massive population, especially the youth. Neglecting their health is not a good way going forward, in light of becoming a manufacturing powerhouse.
Russia is the largest producer India thelargest consumer sadly.
Meanwhile Indian media is doing shows on Hindu vs Muslim
YOU WILL NEVER SEE THESE KINDS OF REPORTS ON GODI MEDIA. HATS OFF AL JAZEERA
Thanks Al Jazeera news team for raising awareness about Asbestos "a silent killer." 🙏
Where are india mainstream media on this 😮
They following Pakistani succession
They are doing Hindu_Muslim..........
Mainstream what?? There is no such thing here, call them entertainment channel
Simple just like Al Jazeera covered up the miserable condition of foreign workers in Qatar. 😂😅
The news about the harmful effects of asbestos is in news from many years, but you people have habit of complaining every time.
Indian Media has stopped reporting anything like this since 2014

Another great documentary aljazeera ❤
Thanks for watching!
India acts as if its still in 19th century.. 200 years have passed yet the govt politicians and people are still in the stone age.
It’s banned in most of the countries in early 1980’s.
These fibers turns lungs into stones, and results in a very painful death.
Even removing it from one place it requires full set of protective gear such as overalls , airtight masks ,gloves .
And here I see not even a thread of awareness about it .
A Great and much needed Documentary by Aljazeera............Thanks.
Another big reason making India unlivable is growing over population.
I wonder whats purpose and logic for having such large unproductive and unnecesarry population
I just lost a lot of respect for India.
Why isn't WION talking about this
Why isn't al Jazeera talking about Hajj deaths?
both WION & al Jazeera are not govt.

I remember watching an documentary on this several years ago. It was being showcased on DW news about the problem with Asbestos. Absolutely horrid. It's not used only in India . but also countries like China, Indonesia and Russia.
China has banned the production and use of many years ago, using color steel tile instead.
@@hoffnung-su So far, asbestos has been banned in 67 countries, but chrysotile, a commonly encountered form of asbestos, is still widely used in China and most developing countries. Most asbestos-caused cancers are not reported, recorded, and compensated in many countries.Asbestosis cases reported in Tianjin, Beijing, Shandong, Xinjiang, Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan and etc accounted for a large proportion of the total cases in China. They can't completely switch over because to expensive.
@@pulithevar8135 I live in China and I am not sure if asbestos is still used in industry, but it is no longer used in civil construction and related fields. Even when many remote rural houses are built, the relevant materials are also suitable for color steel tile replacement, as long as you go to China you can see. The general public has been aware of the great harm caused by asbestos cracking, and adults will remind children to stay away if they see it.
So far, I have not seen the asbestos tile in the video for many years, and maybe the old waste buildings may still exist in the past, but they have gradually disappeared in life.
The video which you were talking was released around 11:30 pm IST on a fine night in DW documentary YT channel. Immediately I got a notification about it, watched it & forwarded to my higher officials to take further actions. It’s a legit video but people who are running this industry are powerfully enough to take it down.

This is just saddening 😢 there's something fundamentally wrong with our society
They want us ☠️. That’s the problem. If they didn’t cancer and unnecessary, deadly industries like this wouldn’t exist. They cld cure cancer if they wanted to. We can go to the moon, mars, deep space but can cure cancer. Can’t cure diabetes (China just did by they way why isn’t it being talked about??) we all know something doesn’t feel right.
Only thing that makes sense is everything is going the way whoever is running this human farm wants it to.
We can go to the moon, mars, deep space apparently but we can cure c@ancer, diabetes (China jus cured diabetes btw.. but why isn’t it being talked about and celebrated? Why haven’t you heard about this???)or get rid of harmful & unnecessary industries? I dont buy it. If they wanted to they would. Jus facts. We are meant to be used and recycled at whatever interval suits our earthy rulers.

There are more factors to be ashamed as an Indian than proud Indian
Asbestos is a group of naturally occurring fibrous minerals known for their durability, fire resistance, and insulating properties. It has been widely used in various industries, including construction, automotive, and manufacturing, for materials such as insulation, roofing, and flooring.
There are several types of asbestos, the most common being:
1. **Chrysotile (white asbestos)**: The most frequently used form in industrial applications.
2. **Amosite (brown asbestos)**: Often used in cement sheets and pipe insulation.
3. **Crocidolite (blue asbestos)**: Used in high-temperature applications.
Despite its useful properties, asbestos is hazardous to health. When asbestos fibers are inhaled, they can cause serious respiratory conditions, including asbestosis, lung cancer, and mesothelioma. Because of these health risks, the use of asbestos has been heavily regulated or banned in many countries.
Asbestos fibers may increase the risk of many serious diseases , so many countries have banned it.
All it takes is a little strand to increase the risk of disease
Alcohol and tobacco were/are far more dangerous to Indians as they cause a lot more deaths every year, should we ban them as well?!
Thanks Al Jazeera for publishing the major issue which ignored
