I wonder if the OCT knows how many students he's single handedly helped get through college... He's partially responsible for the success of hundreds of thousands of students!!! What a fucking legend.
And these videos will still be there for years to come. There should be a noble equivalent for this kind of impactful stuff that he is doing, no need for brand new revolutionary invention.
there’s literally no point of me being in class i literally learn nothing from my teacher and i have to either learn it from this guy or some people in my class
A first-stage pharmacy student. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your nice explanation, although my English is not good, but I was able to understand you. I offer you the utmost respect ,from Iraq.❤❤😊
I am so glad you are still posting😭❤️ I am in chemistry 2 in college and you helped me through calculus 2 and chem 1 for the first semester, this video is exactly what I needed tonight
Bro you are so fucking smart and I hope the people in your life tell you how amazing you are often. I've always loved science and I've always wanted to be good at math but I have adhd so sitting in a class and actually learning never worked for me. But you channel is giving me a second chance at learning how to world really works and I owe you so much. Thank you smart daddy your a legend
I took these videos for granted in high school. Just posted this one 2 weeks ago and It's a pretty big portion of my midterm tomorrow. Can't express how much clearer your explanations are.
I'm always amazed how smart you are. Having this much knowledge of all the sciences and math and being able to teach them in a manner that's so clear. Thank you ❤️
Thank you very much for every video you are posting, i passed many courses with your help. Your teaching method is excellent, way better than university tutors. I wish you the best in your career.
Dear Organic Chemistry Tutor, Your videos are KnutRageous! If I have some money at the end of the semester, then I am going to buy your Patreon for a month just to make sure you get something back for this magic. Or maybe, I'll buy some of your gear. Either way, I owe you. Yours truly, Organic Chemistry Student
just ant to thank you so much I just watched ur vid on 2 column prrofs for a test tmr, bro thank you so much u have actually no cap u my hero of the month
Idk what to say tbh u r amazing teacher !!!!!! Iam from syria and I live in Egypt and u help me A LOOOTT thank u really i hope u will read my comment 🔥❤️✨
Thank you ❣️ so much 🥰 it has been long time i studied this topic acid and bases and when I reach at weak acid I'm always confused 🤔 but today i found this video 📸 and i understand easier, may the Lord 🙏 bless you 💯💯💯😊
Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a fantastic explanation on how to calculate the PH of weak acids/bases and Percent Ionization in AP/General Chemistry. The problem selection is excellent; however, I am still confused on solving ICE table problems. This is an error free video/lecture on UA-cam TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
I guess the general gist of it is that Cl is a spectator ion because the compound is a salt, so its kinda like the water where you can ignore it because it would be important. However yeah still a bit confusing on when or when not does this happen.
Hi teacher, could you do a tutorial for relationship between ionic strength and pka for weak electrolytes (including biological environments)? There's this consensus that an activity coefficient is required in practical terms to be able to calculate dissociation equilibrium constant - as solution departs from ideal behaviour. If you can derive the equations and do few examples, and indicate when low or high ionic strength may or may not affect pKa or pH, that's helpful.
At 9:08 you say "that because 10^-5 is pretty small, so we can ignore that x", why can we ignore that x? Also, how do you know when to use the positive or negative value to the +/- of the square root? Thank you in advance, sorry for the questions!
Which of the following aqueous products in the same environment has the lowest freezing point? A) 0,20M K2SO4 B) 0.25M NaCl C)0.15 M CH3COOH D)0.15 M C3H5(OH)3 E) 0.40M C12H12O11 Pls help
You want to write an ionic equation and then a net ionic equation. Once you get it, you will see that Na+ is going to be on both sides of the equation and thus, it cancels out.
Can someone explain why at 9:08 we can just cancel the x value. I get that he said that 10^-5 is small, but what does small mean? Is there a certain value where its considered too small to really be relevant? Can that x value just always be disregarded no matter the number?
Basically, what happens is that if the x-value is found to be extremely small, then you can make an assumption that x won't throw your answer off by much and just disclude it from the equation.

mah man. You never disappoint. let's gooo!!!!!!
sure as hell, you were called for this.
Not all heroes wear capes 😍
thank you 👍
I want to ask something because i don't understand. What if the Ka is not small enough to ignore the x? how to change it into ax2 + bx + c = 0?
enjoyed this lesson a lot.
9.03...I don't understand the link between 10^-5 being small and getting rid of -x at the bottom?
Hello, from the motherland ❤🇿🇦
Your videos are not playing off late. Kindly check on them
very helpful especially for biochemists taking sch 100 and sch 101

This is wht I needed.....
Thank you😊😊😊😇
omg thank you for this!!! so helpful!!
Fantastic! I Love It.
Thank you sooo much you helped me a lot, now i can understand this subject very well
Me too, like pice of cake !!
Hey, I’d like to ask about Cl. Why didn’t we include it in the reaction ?
yeah i got lost there and on 4
I guess the general gist of it is that Cl is a spectator ion because the compound is a salt, so its kinda like the water where you can ignore it because it would be important. However yeah still a bit confusing on when or when not does this happen.
how can a person dislike this
wierd ppl
God bless you sir
THANK YOU VERY MUCH ❤
Excellent!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks a lot. This really helped me out.
this dude is the GOAT!!!
Thank you for the fantastic help
Thank you for your great help!!!!
At 3:42 Ka . Kb = Kw = 1 x 10^-14 is temperature dependent then what would be the equation at 0 degrees celcius?
at 16.38 what will happen to Cl atoms ? didn't the problem states NH4Cl, so why only use NH4?
I think there is an error here
Could you please make a video for solving the Systematic Treatment of Equilibrium?

Hello I'm a fan like 2 hours ago
THANK YOU YOUR VIDEO ARE AMAZING
Thanks very much for these videos😍, but I didn’t understand why sometimes we use Ka and other times we use Kb ?
20:13 where does the CL come from in the question
ya i was thinking the same thing
I was wondering the same thing
NH4Cl should dissociate into NH4 + Cl-
At 9:08 you say "that because 10^-5 is pretty small, so we can ignore that x", why can we ignore that x? Also, how do you know when to use the positive or negative value to the +/- of the square root? Thank you in advance, sorry for the questions!

A) 0,20M K2SO4
B) 0.25M NaCl
C)0.15 M CH3COOH
D)0.15 M C3H5(OH)3
E) 0.40M C12H12O11
Pls help

Very interesting ❤
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
Can you please suggest some videos from your channel that i can watch regarding equilibrium chapter of grade 11?
I wish i was so good as you 😢
I don’t even study I just come watch your videos 10 minutes before my quizzes and get 100% 😂
Happy teachers day
For the 3rd question, why can’t we use NH3 + HCl -> NH4+ + Cl-
Thanks a million for this video. But you didn't explain why Na in NaF is a spectator ion
You want to write an ionic equation and then a net ionic equation. Once you get it, you will see that Na+ is going to be on both sides of the equation and thus, it cancels out.
You can calculate 1-4 much faster using pH = (-log(Ka)-log([HA])/2
Alternatively you get pOH for Kb:
pH = 14 - pOH
and Ka = 10^-14/Kb
if you do use this method wont the values be different from the ICE table (because in ICE we ignore the -x)?
Can someone explain why at 9:08 we can just cancel the x value. I get that he said that 10^-5 is small, but what does small mean? Is there a certain value where its considered too small to really be relevant? Can that x value just always be disregarded no matter the number?
Basically, what happens is that if the x-value is found to be extremely small, then you can make an assumption that x won't throw your answer off by much and just disclude it from the equation.
the value is so small that it doesn’t really affect the calculation, if you cancel the x you get an approximate result which is enough
Thank you very much for every video you are exelent .please helpe me i need exercice
Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!!
