Chad, I don’t think you understand how thankful I am for not only this video but this whole channel. Because of you, I actually understand thank you so much! :-)
I failed my first exam horribly, had I begun watching your videos sooner I probably would've done significantly better. Thank you for these, they're extremely helpful and encouraging for struggling students such as myself. Gonna go watch all your other videos for other topics!
Wow! This was insanely helpful for me. I, like many, struggle greatly with Chemistry and obviously going into higher levels of chemistry has been way harder than ever before. I love how Chad puts this into sort of algebraic ways of thinking instead of real world situations that make it less familiar and relatable. I am so thankful for this video and will be studying these and similar videos in the future! Thanks Chad!
I'm an adult upgrading my education and I have found you videos to be incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your effort Chad, may the force be with you.
Bless your soul, sir! Unfortunately, I am one of the few that is expected to know how to solve using the quadratic formula, but thanks to your little trick, I know how to skip that part (if circumstances permit). Obviously I'll still practice using the quadratic formula, but I know that on the next exam there will be a problem that I can use this neat little trick for!
Thank You for making myself understand more how to do ICE problems and other videos I had watched before. They are very helpful and helped me when I need extra practice before an exam. I couldn't be able to do great in my exam without your help. SO I appreciate it so much. keep making more videos like this.
This video helped a ton, unfortunately my chem courses really love doing quadratics on our quizzes and exams (which I understand may not be the rule), but this did help really clarify the process involved.
Is it possible that you made an ICE calculation video regarding equilibrium calculation but with pressure? But other than that, thank you so much for this!!!! 🙏
I am trying to learn along with my son because he failed his exam bad. Is there a video where you start from the beginning? I like algebra and I can catch on to some but seem to get lost on the equation I should use. Which is what he said he gets lost on as well. Sorry for the bother but I want him to get it so that he can pass this class with a good grade. Thanks for your help ahead of time.
thank you so much. my professor isn't bad but I can't pay attention because she's a slow teacher and I have an exam Friday so learning all this now! thank youuuuu
could you please explain how do we get moldm‐³ as the final unit for the following reaction? I have tried every way to sort it out but don't understand how we get moldm‐³ . Will be really thankful for your help. Q.When nitrogen reacts with hydrogen to form ammonia, the equilibrium mixture contains 0.31 mol dm‐³ and 0.50 mol dm‐³ of nitrogen and hydrogen respectively. If the Kc is 0.50 mol‐²dm⁶, what is the equilibrium concentration of NH3?
I'm not sure yet if we'll have to use the quadratic formula in our class, but assuming we do, I tried it for the example problems. For the second one I got an answer that made quite a lot of sense (6.9995*10^-6M=x for the "+" which I accepted). But on the first example I ended up getting 1.5469M for the "+", and 0.738796125 for the "-". I guess I am wondering how I am supposed to interpret that. Should I say that because of how close 0.66667 and 0.73879 are that it is the answer for choice? Was there something I did wrong? Is a question that spits out this kind of answer typically not used? Sorry if this is a lot of words; any help would be so immensely appreciated! In any case, thank you for doing what you do Chad!
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. - john 8:12.
You have saved my bacon so many times now and I am only in week three of my class. Please write a textbook! The OpenStax book we use is not helpful. I am going to go and subscribe to your course, because I cannot believe how inexpensive it is, but I think an independent book would be a huge help as well.
Glad to hear the channel is helping and also subscribing. Write a textbook --- hmmmm. If only there were more hours in the day! Happy Studying and thanks!
For the first question with no ice tables, I thought we technically couldn't derive the reactions orders from the coefficients for the rate law unless it is an elementary step? Unless Im being dumb and equilibrium expression thing doesn't follow the same rule lol I really love your videos and I hope you know how much we appreciate you :)
One trick they would teach you is to have you divide the equilibrium constant by the initial concentration (in his example, 0.1M) and compare to 5%, if the result is less or equal to 5%, then the approximation is justified and you can proceed. If it's greater than 5%, you must solve quadratically.
Chad, I don’t think you understand how thankful I am for not only this video but this whole channel. Because of you, I actually understand thank you so much! :-)
Glad the channel is helping you - Happy Studying!
