- In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2009 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
I just bought this car it's sky blue, and it had at the time of purchase 71, 870 miles on it! Thank you God!
I've owned big rear wheel drive cars like this in the past. They were always the most reliable and never left me stranded! I'd buy one of these over a lot of newer cars.
i love this car. it was one of the symbols of NYC.
New NYC cabs suck
easily one of the best cars ever made in terms of reliability, safety, and above all else, comfort. this car feels like im floating down the highway on my couch and it soaks up bumps like an ex wife soaks up alimony.
I mean, I guess it's safe if you don't get t-boned considering it's mediocre side impact crash test ratings. Reliability and comfort are excellent though.
It is not just nice....It's absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!!Even sound system is absolutely Hi-Fi Quality!!!It's just Amazing!!!!Thank you for a video!!!
This is what I call a car, a real American beauty! Lincoln Town Car is for me unbeatable, precision made luxury!
my grandfather right before he died had a 98 town car.....my first car to drive!!! love this car.
What an awesome car...I can't believe they discontinued them
Jesus Gonzalez they discontinued them in 2011 :(
Member345a yeah, these things are amazing, I think they will appreciate for sure
They were discontinued along with the Mercury Grand Marquis and Ford Crown Victoria.
Member345a We hope to remake it again!
I know. 11 years later I still can't believe they made the stupid decision to kill it off. Yeah it may have been dated, it may have been slow, but that's not the point. This were the last true American luxury sedans. I'm 13 years old and I don't look at these as a Grandpa car and plan on purchasing one for my first car!
My dad and I practically co-own this car, it's a beautiful ride, smooth as hell!
Car dealer: watchu want fam?
Buyer: I'm late for my flight!
Dealer: Say no more
it’s a Lincoln town car!
They were a good car, lasted forever unlike the earlier Lincolns. Many around, still used daily. They were far superior to Cadillac, far better ride. The only car that came close was the 1996 Buick park ave, especially the Ultra, both had all the same features. Sad that Ford discontinued the Town car because it was a big seller, a nice design.
I can just imagine this beauty crusing down those beautiful country 2 lane blacktops and the highways of South Corolina. Man this Lincoln was at home on those roads.
I wish they still made the town car
Angel Danner yeah they are amazing, will definitely go up in value I think, it's the last REAL American luxury car
its back in 2019
Lincon Twoncar
I have a 2009 town car signature limited white exterior with 307,000 miles it drive like the day it left the show room very comfortable car
Thank you Kyle. I really this video as this is the only car on the market equal to what I own now. It is just sad knowing this car is going away. You cannot beat the room and this luxury. Thank you for showing so much.
This has to be the most comfortable car I've ever ridden. It shits all over the devilles I"ve owned. As trivial as this may sound, the one thing that sold me on this particular model was the grille and I love how it gleams when you shine the camera over it, haha. Thanks for putting up the review.
This was the last TRUE american luxury car, what a bargain !
This car is officially my first car, and I love it so much! Drives so smooth, so comfortable, and very, very sexy. I came from a Cadillac family, and my Lincoln showed me that there's better than Cadies! I got it used with only 130,000 miles on it, well taken care of, and will last me a while, only problem is it's expensive to insure (like most luxuries). Love pretending I'm an old wealthy man when I drive this around town.
Oh hell yeah one of the best cars if not the best!!!! And the go FOREVER!!!!
I’m so excited I’m finally getting mine next Wednesday and it has a black interior I’ve been trying to find one in good condition and I finally did 🙏
DoctorDrumKit I love it I like how is real smooth ride and you bearly hear stuff from the outside riding I recommend everybody to get one of these for a daily driving
absolutely stunning car. my all time favourite american car.
you're right... when someone wants a town car, they want that, not the MKS or the MKT Town Car, they want the big boat of a car that glides like an airplane... Lincoln totally messed up.
Before you all laugh at the Town Car’s relatively low power output considering its 4.6 litre engine displacement and make some comment about your lawnmower having more power per litre, what you need to understand is this: the Town Car isn’t about speed or horsepower or quarter mile times. It’s all about delivering a smooth, comfortable and luxurious ride at any speed, and the Town Car delivers this in spades. It’s because of this that I like to think of the Town Car as a ‘poor man’s Mercedes S-Class’.
This also applies to the Town Car’s sister cars, the Ford Crown Victoria & the Mercury Grand Marquis.
Not only that, but because of the body-on-frame design and the fact that the Town Car’s V8 engine isn’t very stressed, the Town Car, along with its aforementioned Ford and Mercury sister cars, is notoriously reliable - one Town Car featured on Scotty Kilmer’s ‘Show-Off Sunday’ series on UA-cam had done 486,000 miles (486,609 miles, to be exact) at the time of filming.
i love the sound of this car ! 4.6L V8
They might not be the best handling or the fastest. But they are the beautiful and comfortable examples of american luxury.
I had a 2006 town car times got tough and had to sell it last year I really miss all the features when I'm driving my Taurus lol every once in a while I see it driving around recognizing a scratch I put on the trunk still can't believe I let it go
😂😂😂😂😂
definitely one of my top 5 dream cars
You feel like a millionaire just sitting in the back of a long wheelbase model.
Better than Mercedes.
I still like these. But I don’t like them as much as I use to. But I might buy one!
These are nice cars. My grandma had 3 of them (mid 80's, early 90's & late 90's) before she quit driving. I drove her 99 one for a while after she quit but sold it for something that was more my style.
I live in Chicago and I am the only 20 year old with a 1994 Lincoln town Car in my block while most of my neighbors have Cadillac's. Love it or Hate it, the Town Car is raw.
You make the best video tours on UA-cam...thank you!
Panther bodies are easily the best cars ever.
Town car and crown Vic....the ak47 of cars
The Lincoln Town car had four wheel disc brakes, since the very early 1990's. This car has disc brakes all the way around, I would hardly call it a gas guzzler. These 4.6's average 25=27 highway mileage. Brand new 4 cylinders dont do much better than that. Please get your facts straight before posting things incorrectly.
Great review! Im so much looking forward to spending a year at university in the States and now I know what car to get myself :) Just hate small 4 cylinders we have in Denmark, no power at all (just sucks that you can feel a drop in performance when activating the aircon :S )
I live in the UK and I really like this car, totally different to European cars, but that's
its charm
I just bought one. Loving it so far 🎉
Fuel gauge reading almost empty. It's not wise to run vehicles this low on gas, they could pick up a variety of sediments off the bottom of the tank. I bought one of these several months ago. So far it's proven to be a good choice.
The fuel gauge reads that low when it says “50 Miles to Empty”
Nice! My grandmother's got an '09 Ultimate just like this one, Black interior, fully loaded with Nav.
My grandparents love their Town Cars!!!!!! You made the right choice to video this car, Kyle!!!!!!
I have a gloss black and chrome 2004 Grand Marquis. If I got a Town Car, it would be gloss black and chrome. That's the only color these cars should be made in! :)
Oh man, you're making me love this car,
A lot of the comments negative about this car make me think that some people must be on here without their parent's permission...
Ryan Filipowicz everyone wants "fast and sporty" cars. all new cars have that same aggressive look. I drive a Grand Marquis GS but saving for one of these beauties. last of the traditional American luxury.
The best of the best. These cars can eat up some miles. In comfort at that 💪🏿
My friend has a 2001 Town Car ex-airport limo livery car with 830,000kms on the odo. Looks like hell and floats endlessly but it gets him where he has to go.
I. always. have. been a. Chevy. man.. but.. townacar.. my. girlfriend. got. 1. that. turned. in to 6. now I currently own. a 03. tuxedo. black. with brown int and chrome.. I love it
I'm in love. And that's not hard to afford. I think everyone wants the small pickups now.i wish I could ride around with you man.
There are probably more Lincoln Town Cars on the road today than any other vehicle.
I see these cars everywhere.
Love this car! I gotta get one in black one day!!
woke up this morning is the Mafia's official anthem and this car is/was the Mafia's official state car. A very beautiful car, and too bad Ford discontinued it.
A Dam Sham
Town Cars are my favorite Lincolns, so good looking and classy
The MKS won't replace the Town Car even thought the 2013 should but they are introducing a town car package to the 2013 MKX which is a crossover. Stupid for them to pull the Town Car though.
this is a REAL car lol!
body on frame design, no one these town cars are ranked one of the best in safety standards
great video kyle!
this is almost like your grampas mercury grand marquis, cept lincoln packed lol.
thumbs up as always man!
glad to finally see you have review of a townie!
Just FYI, on the trunk, it's also electric down. just just pull down. If the trunk is up and you push the trunk button on the drivers door again, or if you put in the code on the door it closes it's self also.
I just asked for this on your channel not even two hours ago, haha thats really funny and thanks for the great video!!!
its a shame ford discontinued the town car and crown vic just so they could focus on building ricers instead :/
You know what I agree; It’s a car for the ages no doubt about it, Ford got it right however, truly large authentic luxury and also style inside and out.
I wish Ford would have given more thought for major refreshment. The cars such as the new Taurus, MKZ aren’t the same like the older F-9 Panther cars.
Also, I think what really made these cars feel dated (besides the fact that it only had a information monitor in the dash board and no GPS or Sat. Radio) was the engine.
That's true. My dad owns a limo company in FL and NY and I grew up around the business. Customers get pissed if they get sent an Escalade if they wanted a sedan. Most companies are going with Cadillac DeVilles now.
ultimate road trip cars, idk how the driver doesn't fall asleep because those plush seats put you right to sleep
Love my '05!
One of my dream cars lol.
Nice! My grandmother's got an '04 Ultimate Short Wheelbase, Black on Black, fully loaded, with Nav. It's a great car. Also, she doesn't have Chrome Wheels.
One of my favourite cars! Thanks for filling the request!
i subbed your videos are unbelieveable!!! great job kyle
Now that the Town Car, Grand Marquis and Crown Victoria are all out... what will replace them? I saw some Lincoln MKS Limos... Just a tad worried.
this is the best caddy ive ever seen, me and my dad kinda well really "co-own" the town car and too bad its big enough for all my friends, but bench seat is cool for dates... but i wish there were more cup holders for moms and a shoe rack in the truck for moms shoes, im mean come on people, and if it was like an suv but a station wagon too, and seats 7 and had a real v6 motor, and one of those boring H emblems on the grille, and a built in baby seat, cadillac will get there one day....
Masterpiece ever. Great
Kind of expensive for a car with limited features. Don't get me wrong, I love Town Cars (I own an 89), but it would make more sense to buy a used '03 or '04 model for much less since they are essentially the same car as the '09 and '10 models.
This is one of the most solid cars out there on the road, its just really out of date...with a starting MSRP of 45,110 for the Signature Limited and 50,780 for the Signature L you really don't get much more than a Fancy Crown Vic....in just about every way other luxury cars beat it even all the other lincolns have more features and are more up to date....still one of my Favorite cars it just needs a major revision.
My dad had the 06 town car I miss it 😢
the towncar is my favorite lincoln, and favorite of the panther platform vehicles, though i feel the panthers are slightly outdated you just cant beat those cars...solid,reliable,agile and good looking too.....forget those little 4 Cylinder beer cans.
ummm what's the difference with the signature l and signature limited
@astroberk17 there was a time when the majority of American cars had coloumn shifters....moving the shifter to the steering coloumn frees up floor space.....and of course you cant have a Floor shifter with a Bench seat...these days you really only see coloumn shifters on Trucks and SUVs...though some General Motors models still offer bench seating and a coloumn shifter as an option, for example the Caddy DTS,Chevy Impala,Buick Lacrosse
The best car ever made right there. Anybody who knows anything about cars loves the Town Car and if you're saying that it needs to be retired because it can't compete against Mercedes in some unspecified way, you're just ignorant.
It was a good video but he didnt go as in depth as he normal does. He left a lot of details out. I own a 2006 Town Car just like this so I know all the features it has. I was kinda dissapointed in this video. I know this is his hobby but it was a highly requested car and I feel he missed the mark. Still love his videos. :)
Nothin like a good lookin black Lincoln!
what was the song at 102.1
go thous Alicia Keys Un-Thinkable (I’m ready)
@saabkyle04 I could very-well be mistaken, but I strongly believe this body-style actually dates back further than 2003...I remember it first coming into production in like 1998.
@MulalicHaris it has a Split Bench Seat in the Front, the Folding things are arm rests.
@UnboundLegend i checked lincoln's website and HID Headlamps are optional on the towncar....Halogen's are standard.
I might get one. Its a classic big car. It does have outdated tecnology but it doesn't matter
wish they would continue production on these. i know the back on the current Taurus was originally going to be on the next gen Crown Victoria. We have one of these and love it. They have plenty of room and have a very comfortable ride. I cant say enough good things about these town cars, just wish they had the new 5.0L and a 6 speed transmission.
also to the cameraman when you turn the wheel like you did in 1:21 it is hard on the power steering, and wears it out
@Nightbird Everyone knows how Bulletproof the Panther Platform Vehicles are,but like i said....with a price tag in upwards of 45,000 the towncar could at least be more than a dressed up crown victoria....every other vehicle in the lincoln lineup is more competitive than the towncar which is supposed to be lincoln's flagship....not saying everyone is going to want a more modern towncar,it should have more options if your going to lay 50,000 Dollars aside for it.
Thanks! This is exactly the one i asked for!
@randomrazr and they are very rigid, thats why the crown vic are used as police cars, to do PIT manuvers, crashing into criminals, that sort of awesome thing
@mongoose063
fords crown victoria, mercury grand marquis, and lincoln town cars are body on frame cars, the last ones still in production.
if u dont beleive me, google it or find one and look underneath, yuo will find a full frame the streches the full length of the car
These things have a nice backseat! My uncle has an 09 like this one and I have plenty of head and legroom. Im 6'4
Why you change the station that first song was jamming
First, I think the stereo is Alpine on the Signature models.
Second, the engines on these things are extremely reliable. My dad has an '03 Town Car Executive L (Long Wheelbase Version), and his car has been through hell, it has almost 400,000 miles on it, and we can still count on it to start up every morning. I really don't think Ford should kill this car in 2011, it's great for livery, like my dad. Limo companies are going to go to the competition, the Cadillac DTS. That's not good for Ford.
@beatlespersun well, there'll still be plenty of used one's around...and who knows, these cars might make a comeback someday in the future...
@1990Saab900Turbo ah yea, we use commodores for cop cars and falcons for taxis (cause of their reliable straight 6). Holden caprices are a nice car. here we have a performance version of the caprice called the senator. Yea falcons are everywhere as well. we actually have an 84 xe fairmont and a 97 el fairmont ghia which are both basically the luxury versions of the falcon. I love the fairlanes and ltd's (luxury fairlane)! sadly they stopped being made in 2008 due to low demand.
how much hp dose this motor have and the lbft
THATS A BEAST!
How and where can I buy this car, I live in Kuwait
where are you in this vid? dealer??
Gotta love those Town Cars! Too bad they are going the way of the dodo. (I believe they are being discontinued next year.) Great video as always!
The town car isn't discontinued. It is still on the Lincoln website...
NICE SONG AT 7:00
nice, has the "towing package" it looks like, got the sway bars and dual exhaust which is a must for all these cars, 2" single exhaust isn't enough for a V6 let alone a V8
Mane!! I love this Town Car here yo!! I love the look :)
