This is part of drifting honestly. Gotta be rdy to that L when it happens. Its a learning experience and you have gain more experience in what you like doing.
Things happen extremely quick. I had a Mustang I put hundreds of hours into and spent all summer building just to take it to work on a Monday and while sitting at a red light minding my own business a girl fell asleep driving a Honda CRV and drove right into the back of me.

Perfect excuse to pump this truck up about 3 levels over the next 3-5 months.
1. Go pull a 2014+ 4.3 V6 from a Silverado or whatever, then study David Vizard's cam theory to select a cam (if you can't convert his formulas for the V6 just ask and we can talk on discord about it)
2. Since you're already pulling from 350z cars, go get a CD009 trans. The LV3 should be able to use an LS adapter since it's from the same family (the old 4.3, which I don't recommend, is based on the even older chevy 350 platform, though)
3. Your fab skills look good, so it's time to fully front half and cage the truck, learn a bit about suspension and steering geometry and get that shit down locked and do it. Move the rad and battery and such to the rear for better weight distribution and whatnot, while you're at it.
With the right planning and execution, you should still be able to drift this season, likely with about triple the power, even better suspension, a better transmission, and probably less weight, too, since the LV3 (that's the engine code for the 2014+ 4.3 V6) is an aluminum 5.7 LS with 2-cyl cut off.

You can twist a frame straight with the right application of chains and winches or come-alongs. Also, I've read that S14 or S15 suspension is even better for retrofitting and S13 has some specific problem that I can't remember what it was, but yeah.

Dude just seen you put the bed back on the truck !! I thought you broke a passenger lower a arm and it sucked you into the wall!! Do you have a kit on the front of the truck?? Next time I suggest you have a person ride along with you as you try your anitiations,, they will tell you when you need to clutch kick, when your undes steering, when you need more grip!

Doesnt matter if its a thrown rod, or you put er in a wall, you can atleast have an excuse to now clip the front end and do something cool like tube front end or graft on a 86 front clip, or even a 87 supra front end 🤔

Well you gotta learn somehow.. but you gotta really know your car.. tires dont put you into a wall unless they’re blown.. until then youre just getting more loose.. but its all a learning experience because nobodies perfect. everybody is the best driver until they get beat so dont take all your advice from one mouth….
