    It's an important insight that the cheapest customers always cost the most time and effort. That's true in any business. Charging higher prices allows you to redirect that extra time and effort into going the extra mile for the customers that appreciate your services.

      100%. I will also add some helpful advice that was given to me and that is that the bargain-seeking customer is only loyal to the lowest price. Using super low prices to build a client base for a new business is a waste of time, none of those customers will stay with you. Better to use that time learning new skills you can charge for in the future.

      Yup I used to own a moving company lady haggles me everyday for weeks one day I had a customer cancel and the lady called me again while me and my employee were on our way back from the job that canceled so I went and did the job. All the furniture in her crappy apartment was cheap garbage. we did the job and all it did was pay for my fuel and employee. I mainly did the job just so my guy can get some hours. The next day the lady claimed her tv was broken. Her reclining couch was broken. Her table was scratched and stuff was missing. Called us thieves, And wanted all her money back or she'll take us to court. Left horrible reviews and made other fake reviews for about a week. We had about 25 bad reviews come in which all were obviously from her.

    I’ve really enjoyed your videos. Maybe consider doing some “how to do UA-cam” videos. Something I’ve wanted to do at my shop for a while. I’ve also wanted to add a mobile service to my shop. Thanks for the tips you’ve put out so for. Hope you have a great 2024.

    Im a glass artist working to find something to supplement my all art based income. I haven't had a real job in 4 years but 2023 didn't like that for me. I figured mechanics a good thing to learn and easily adaptable to working on my own. your videos have been super helpful to see. I started working at an auto shop to help me learn the ropes and start accumulating tools until I can eventually work part time mobile mechanic and part time glass! Plus the occasional flip 👍. Keep up the good work!

    Ernest, I’m intrigued why you want a shop for the business? Especially since it seems you’re just now really starting to hit your stride as a mobile guy. Just interested. Also, does it worry you at all to move to a new state as your clientele would practically be wiped clean?

    • @RoadsideRescue
      @RoadsideRescue  4 місяці тому +1

      yeah it worries me, but ive thought about opeing two shops, just dont want to deal with that across states probably... idk. would still do mobile call outs just when necesary. want a shop to do most work out of.

      @Onwaxwings 2 місяці тому

      Just some advice from one fellow mobile tech to another, bro, i wouldn t recommend opening a shop. Had a friend do it and it ruined him. Stay in one place and just take over

    • @ThatGuyThatGames24
      @ThatGuyThatGames24 2 місяці тому

      @@Onwaxwings Just saw these replies. It's interesting the shift in what makes a business successful nowadays. It seems to be shifting away from brick and mortar, but it might depend on the area IDK. Renting/Owning any land is so damn expensive these days too. It's certainly something that requires lots of careful, planned thinking.
