that is my dream job! so amazing! the amount of knowledge you have to put in practice + learning more...the concentration and method on something that may be helpful in the future. More of these, pls! You are giving me strength to go on! 😍
Love it! Jack was such a good sport. :) Hope you both have success with your experiments!!!! Glad the more recent one turned out well. And yes yes more about your research please! :)
Haha, aw yeah he always is! and thank you so much for the sweet comment, and yes I will definitely make videos about my specific research projects later on once I finish the course :) Take care lovely
Love all your videos ❤️ well done on your amazing channel. I'm starting a Biomedical Science degree in September and your videos are making me so excited to begin my journey. Looking forward to loads more videos 😊
I'm sorry if this question sounds weird, but how do the research students 'decide' what to do the research on? Are you given some kind of topics to choose from or do you need to think of the research project yourself? :) Also, you're a very inspiring person! :)
It's not a weird question at all! so when I applied for this masters there were a list of projects available and a list of the supervisors who offered them. We got to pick our top 5 choices, and then be allocated to them. The projects often change even after you have picked them because that's just the nature of research, but generally you will be doing some sort of project in the field of your chosen supervisor! :) and thank you lovely, that is very sweet! :)
absolutely! we work with a lot of pharmacists who are involved in making up the drugs for cancer patients, and some of these are experimental drugs that are being tested in clinical trials :)
I love these "Day in the Life" videos, they're so interesting!
Aw I'm glad you think so! I will have to make more haha :)

Is it necessary to take blood from someone? For this experiment
Miss my SDS-PAGE, western blotting and coomassie protein staining days 😣 that chemical was probably betamecaptoethanol
hahaha, I feel you!
how does one became a biomedical scientist?
doing a biomedical sciences degree is usually a start, but there may be other ways too! (although I don't know about them!)
What kind of job can one have after doing mres in cancer medicine? N what is its scope ?
I have a few videos on this :) x
Do all biomedical scientist have to learn how to take blood at uni ?
No, that was just something she wanted to learn for her masters research project. Biomedical science is very lab based rather than patient contact.
@@nishat3392 how did she learn it tho?
@@redsword7190 You can get phlebotomy training outside of university.
@@Lisa-_-M thank you
Hey atousa , can pharmacists be part of cancer research ?
absolutely! we work with a lot of pharmacists who are involved in making up the drugs for cancer patients, and some of these are experimental drugs that are being tested in clinical trials :)
Can they also design new drugs for cancer or it belongs to chemists and biochemists only ?
@@atousa5752 could international pharmacits do it too?
phlebotomists are vampires!
yes...yes we are...hehe
