Thank you, even though this being four years ago. The information and seeing the enthusiasm you two harbour for your respected subjects rubs off...Can't wait to start my PhD :)
hey new sub here, nice vid. I was wondering i have checked some uni's and it has lots of coursework for biomed instead of exams, in your opinion do you find coursework easier than exams or the same for biomedical science. For example BTEC in college was very easy compared to a levels, you get task complete it at home or school, they give you corrections then you complete it and the tasks were usually very easy. Is it the same in your opinion in university, that coursework was very easy compared to exams.
Hey, and thank you! Good question, and I honestly think it depends on you as a person! my course was all exams, but we also had lots of essays and reports and "coursework" to do too! I think a better way of choosing the university is how much you like the course, and not by exams/coursework - because you will adjust to those things! but if you hate the course, you might not be motivated! I hope this helps :)
Hiiiii!! This was such a useful video! I have some questions about the PhD application... What are some good things to write in your SOP outside of publication, experience ect? Have you got any useful tips in getting a funded PhD?
I don't know a lot about studying a PhD in the US as I live in the UK, so I'm afraid I can't answer - in the UK it can take 3-4 years, but I suspect that it will be the same in the US :)
Hello! What are you saying at ua-cam.com/video/L1l5806lDuQ/v-deo.htmlm16s about not doing it in the U.S.? Couldn't quite make that out and am just curious. Thanks!
