    Normally during these wrestler interviews, the wrestlers mark out for themselves too much; but In Stevie's case, I think he is a bit too hard on himself. BWO and RTC were entertaining as hell and Stevie's run with Victoria along with the Stevie Night Heat segments really show what Stevie was capable of if given the chance.

    The fact that Stevie isn’t a coach at the PC, or a Producer in WWE, AEW, TNA, AAA, or NJPW is an absolute sin. Dude is a wealth of knowledge. As someone who also doesn’t have enough self-esteem and always seems to down himself, I gotta tell you Stevie that you are a freaking gem. You’re a legend & you deserve to be getting paid!

    For anyone who doesn't know what business in Georgia he's referring to, in 2015/16 Stevie was working for Diamond Dallas Page as a fitness instructor for DDP Yoga.
    Stevie was teaching there for a while, but abruptly stopped some time in 2017. He was also working in Ring of Honor during 2015/16 as well.
    There was never any explanation into what exactly happened. Maybe Stevie would go into it one day, but it would be understandable if he didn't. Because there are some people who will never accept hearing a bad word about DDP because of how he helped Jake Roberts, Scott Hall, Buff Bagwell, etc.
    And Stevie has pretty much hit the nail on the head when in a shoot interview he's said that when it comes to wrestlers, the higher up on the card someone is and the bigger the star they are, that determines their status and worth as a human being in the minds of fans.
    However there's an Instagram post from Stevie's account in 2017, where he shares a tweet from the MMA fighter Colby Covington publicly calling out DDP and saying that he trusts acts of kindness more when the person doing it doesn't call over a camera crew to film it. And even telling Page to be more like Stevie Richards.
    Stevie also puts over Covington for being 100% real and admiring him for it.

    • @MetlKen87
      @MetlKen87 2 місяці тому +13

      Yeah, everyone seems to dust DDP's ego under the rug. There's a reason he had legit heat with almost EVERYONE in WcW from 98 on. DDP accomplished something nobody else ever has and I respect the hell put of him, but I'm sure he's a top tier asshole to work with and for.

    Stevie was too nice of a guy to be a top superstar in the wrestling business. But I found entertaining everything he did. There should always be spots in wrestling for a talent that can be given anything and they make it work.

    • @jd9119
      @jd9119 2 місяці тому +2

      That same thing could be said about any business. The nice guys get walked over in the business world. He was good at what he does, but he was there to "enhance" the product. He never had the charisma or look to ever be "the guy." And you don't have to be in order to have a long career in wrestling.

    Yeah, I agree that Stevie is far too self deprecating. I remember growing up they'd job him out a lot, but there was a short period in the new ECW where they were giving him longer matches and I was really into what he's doing. I’m really glad to see Stevie getting his flowers after all these years.
    Stevie is one of the most underrated and under appreciated talents we’ve ever had the privilege to see wrestle.
    I grew up watching the tail end of the Attitude Era and the majority of the Ruthless Aggression Era. I’m most familiar with Stevie’s work from those times.
    Even with Vince and WWE’s tendency to try to kill Stevie with losses and gimmicks, the fans just couldn’t help but love the guy. Even then, Stevie’s personality and charisma shined through. And on the other hand, The Right to Censor was such a fantastic heel group and Stevie made that gimmick shine. You just had to hate him.
    Thanks for being here and doing this for us, Stevie and James. This show is one of the best wrestling shows on UA-cam right now, it’s just natural and real and so well produced.

    When the Stevie Richards channel started and he was showing how things went wrong or how things could’ve been improved, I absolutely loved it and I’m so glad that James is on board now as you both come across as two of the most interested, interesting & genuine people to do this interviewing/exposé type scenario online!

    It's weird, but listening to you right now, I actually completely disagree. I think with the right booking, the right matchups etc, I think you could definitely be a needle mover Stevie. You have so much to give, and you could really help a lot of these wrestlers moving up in the system. I don't know, I just feel like you still got something that could definitely be a game-changer. Would love to see you go with the likes of Chad Gable.

    I don’t understand why Stevie is considered a pariah in the wrestling business, he seems like such a cool down to Earth guy. I would think he would be a good agent or announcer or something if he can’t wrestle.

    I think WWE owes Stevie a fat cheque through a rumble appearance. It's really the least they can do, plus they can benefit by keeping him in the loop through coaching etc

    Stop complaining about 75 grand saying making 75 grand is nothing. You know how many people would love to be able to make anywhere near that

    • @wolfmode0061

      You're not taking into account expenses that go with just the upkeep of being professional wrestler. 75 grand isn't much. Wrestlers in general don't make much compared to athletes in general.

    In 2010 i trained with Killer Tim Brooks for over a year. It was pretty shit training. Just us showing up at his house & training in his barn by taking bumps & messing around with each other. Killer had like 5 people max that he was training & it was only once a week. But he'd run monthly shows out of his barn where anywhere from 75 to 150 people would show up. Which may not sound like much, but they were packed shows sometimes. 20$ a head as well. Then he had a concessions stand that did remarkably well & photo shoots for kids. I never saw a dime for those photo shoots i did. So he was making a killing on those shows. Especially when you consider he used his trainees & local talent. Most notable person i ever knew from there was Li Fang. Who spent a cup of coffee in FCW but ended up stopping because he wanted to be with his family more.
    Point is, a wrestling school can be profitable but you own the ring, land, arena & use trainees for your local shows 😆
    RIP killer.

    That's exactly what he wants. Also he seems to give a lot of people that second chance like Jake the Snake Roberts
