I'll admit I used to be one of the bad ones that used to be a bit mean about you, I apologise for that, you have grown on me. I actually find you very entertaining these days. When you said "I'm one of these that gets bored easily" I honestly spat my beer lol. Yes your definitely one that gets bored easily, and luckily for us!. Hope I have half the energy and pure fishing passion you have in 20 or so years time. I could do with a slice of it now if I'm honest. I think with these vids you have a chance of going down in the book of "THE GREAT" British anglers, and what an amazing legacy, wish you all the best and one day hope to have the honour of fishing the same bank. Harbour wall, peir, beach whatever!!!!. Best of luck mate and keep up the great work!
My old Mrs wants to thank you for the slapping the lug on the ground to stiffen it up trick Graham, she tried it with my old pecker tonight and she says it worked a treat.
I’m so amazed that the bbc haven’t knocked on your door yet. Awesome entertainment plus educational. Many years I’ve watched your vids and everyone is superb.
Greatest fishing shows I have ever seen! I'm binge-watching and so inspired that I actually went fishing earlier today. Caught naught... but saw a seal and two sea lions. Practiced casting and saw a beautiful sunset to boot. Thanks for getting me off my keister!
Been going fishing at Dungeness from age of a kid with my dad now im 53 never seen anything to talk about but i still go to Dungeness fishing i love it .
Thanks Graeme great video. I used to live around the corner in Littlestone in the 70's and 80's. My friend caught a 19 pound cod off Dungeness beach in 1985, that was about the last time we saw decent cod of that beach. Still caught lots of whiting, plaice, ling and dabs thereafter. BTW the light house rotates every 10 secs.
It's a wonderful unique place isn't it . You can fish freshwater a short way from there in a large lake by the power station if your ever staying near there for a few days. Oh and a trip on the small railway there is a must too Graham!
Much like today's session was for me! doesn't matter where you are, it doesn't matter how big your bait is and a whiting will take it as soon as it hits the water!! Keep up the cod hunting though, they're about!!!
Depends how old you are I guess,it was always called a slack liner(check old fishing books) before fashions changed and here comes "Drop back"...The drop back actually comes from the Carp and Pike world when the bobbin indicator drops as a fish moves towards you. Slack liner is a shore fishing term.
Great video I love it when I get a alert telling me new video up load. He got it right nuffing better the sea fishing nice cup tea and just chilling listening to the sea. Can not wait for next video.
I like to fish the beach at Pevensey. Arrive at High tide (usually about 6 - 7pm) Fish the tide right down. Had some great fishing. Usually the other anglers go shortly after high tide! Most amazing fish a 3lb flounder - way down the tide!
My brother lives two mins from there, greatstone. Always great to watch the fisherman on this beach, can sometimes see brollys for miles lol I really love that place and area, its just great not just fishing, everything.
Absolutely love your channel ,videos are brilliant and to top it of your humour really makes them even more enjoyable to watch .. Totally Awesome Fishing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My God Man your a Videoaholic! 3 Hours driving to plunder the treasures of our great British coastline. Well you know what it's like treasure hunting! Keep at it. Nice video. Enjoyed. . .
i really enjoy your shows, the set ups you use can be employed half a world away,i really like the sliding weight set up.thank you,and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I've just spent the last week or two watching your beach fishing videos, my word you are a very determined man, i live in weymouth and I have just started fishing and you have taught me so much just sitting on my sofa in the warm. I just need to get out there and practice.. thank you for sharing your knowledge...
Know your stuff Graham-like the point no fish close in on the shingle, take it someone local said that so no one fishes that way anymore, similar where I fish when on the north east beaches-no one uses huge baits I use 2 rods one with a big bait & if anyone sees the big bait usual crack is what your trying to do knock the fish out when you hit the water, again no one fishes this way & no one knows the bass I catch so don't tell them:)
Great video! Almost makes me want to get my kit out and get fishing again..... Oh, and I think the Red/Green light on the lighthouse is a navigation aid so you can tell which side of the the lighthouse you are looking at. Its Red/Green like the Port/Starboard lights on a ship.
Brilliant l just got back from Charmouth doing a bit of late night fishing. You never know what’s going to come out. I’m sitting there nice and quiet when loads of white bait and l do mean loads jumped out onto the beach. I did not see what spooked them but l got loads of white bait. Keep at it and great video
i was there three times (at night) in past month. first time got 3 very good size bass, but then nothing.....willl go there again nxt week. great video as usual!
nice vid!! we have whiting here in the US, haven't had any in a long time, grandparents used to fish for it when they lived in Florida during the winter months

Nice one Graeme, enjoyed that. Pity you didn't get one of the feeding schoolies, fair play to you anyway for sticking at it in the dark on your own.

Some of the best bait for big cod is the little Whiting that get thrown back. Just slash them 3 times down a side.
Brilliant video!....Love your enthusiasm too!
If Boris get those EU fishing fleet out of Brittish waters the cod will be back again boys.
I certainly hope so..I will have to Google up what they look like soon !!!

Didn't realise Bruce Forsyth was in to his sea fishing!
Great video Graeme! Not such a great mark now. Sad to see the state of the fishing now!
Im a local kid around there and at any time in the night even at low tide you should have doggies or whining 24/7
Great tips
had a beaut of a cod at Hope's Nose in Devon, bloody seal took its back end from the gill cage and left me with the head.
£2.75 for a wrap of Blacks, I know this vid is a few years old but we pay £6.00 a wrap in most shops in Hampshire and Dorset
