- Be Lenka is one of those barefoot brands you should know about, but maybe don't. Located in Slovakia their shoe production takes place all around the EU. We absolutely love their toe boxes, other barefoot attributes, build quality, and style. Today we're talking about one of their all around athletic/gym shoes, the Velocity. After a few months of testing them everywhere from in the gym, to hiking trails, to out on the pavement, come along as we discuss our likes and dislikes of the shoe, helping you decide if they really are the only barefoot shoe gym you need! It would be awesome if you could do a review of the barefoot sneakers barebarics wave from Be Lenka there is no review on UA-cam👟
Gonna add this to my list, good looking durable shoe that seems to check my boxes for casual use. Only thing that gives me pause is the volume for my medium to high arches and the width, which although Belenka is known for I haven't tried yet.
Yes, the widest from Be Lenka! Do you guys think that this shoe is wider or the new Splay?
I would say that they’re probably about equal
Maybe I'm getting old, but it's hard to hear you sometimes with the background music. Enjoy your videos though 😀
We try to keep it down 😂 the balance is hard sometimes
I hope your subscriptions and views increase. Your content is helpful.
The top of my foot is not comfortable when wearing vivobarefoot, is this shoes good for high volume feet?
@@junyuc1670 I think so
How’s the sizing compare to vivobarefoot? Thanks a lot?
@@daboichie30 we don't have much experience at all with Vivo, but the Be Lenka have all been true to size for us, and the one Vivo just one of us was able to try was too big.
I fond the vivos run big, and I have really wide, flat feet. For reference, in UK sizing, with a nike I'd wear a 9.5 or even a 10 for the width and end up with an over long shoe because of it, but in a belenka I wear a 9 and it fits perfect. Vivo I'm more like an 8, but ideally I think I'd wear an 8.5 (but they don't have half sizes unfortunately). On another note I've also found the quality for lelanka is a step up on vivo, and they're also better priced (which is annoying as I live in the UK but pay more for the UK brand...). In vivo's favour they do have a much better range of soles, particularly for hiking and trail use in general.
@@rhidiandavies1991 thanks.. really appreciate your time explaining it.
I ordered these a couple weeks ago and sent them back because I found that the top/tongue/lacing area was poorly designed and dug into my feet, with little to no elastic give. (TL;DR I feel that for a gym shoe there should have been more stretch in general around the upper, and it's well built but a little bit too tensile).
Curious if you experienced this at all?
@@Laotzu.Goldbug I would say that we find the volume a little low, and the footbed isn’t finished so you can’t really take out the insole either. That’s our only real issue there
How would you compare the width and volume on this shoe compared to the Bahé?
@@hood4thought699 I like the revive better for sure
@@sonsofsever awesome! I tried these and needed more room for my pinky to splay so the Revive is looking good. Are their new shoes, which you hinted at, wider? Or should I just bite the bullet and order the revive?
@@hood4thought699 the new shoe is a boot… definitely don’t sleep on it, it’ll be announced at the end of the month, but definitely a different category. And they are a bit wider than the revive.
What is the best pickle ball shoe?
For my feet the only problem with this one was the stack height, I'm heavy on my feet when I play and so my heels start to hurt. If your feet are strong enough to handle so little underfoot then I don't think they're a bad option at all! The build and grip did well on the court.
Thanks a bunch!
