🇦🇿 Trying Pakhlava for the first time in STUNNING Sheki! I LOVED this place!

- I travelled to North Azerbaijan and stayed in Sheki where I discovered a totally different vibe to Baku - surrounded by the Caucasus mountains this place is a slice of heave. From the Church of Kish, to the most beautiful little cafe where I tried Pakhlava and on to the organic Bio grade, I saw a side of Azerbaijan I knew nothing about.

Oh my gosh. What a lovely place especially the gardens. My grandparents had Kiwifruit, which we used to call Chinese Gooseberries, growing on their 1/4 acre section many years ago.
I can't wait for the next vlog, I'm not very patient 😊

You should also try the paxlava from Quba, its red because we make it with saffron, walnuts and sugar :)) Also we have a lot of beautiful mosques to visit in Azerbaijan, in Baku, Sheki and elsewhere. Love the content. 👏👏

It's Caucasian Albania, not to be confused with today's Albania. Caucasian Albania was a state composed of 26 tribes. They spoke a Caucasian language and are related to today's Lezgins and Udins in Azerbaijan. Caucasian Albania was one of the first states to adopt Christianity. It was on the territory, which is today Azerbaijan.

In Sheki it’s different and can be known under both names..
@@carriepatsalis I am originally from Shaki lived there over 22 years) i know the name it is halva - "Shaki halvasi" whoever told you baklava they have no idea what they r talking about , pretending to resemble it to turkish baklava , because lots of foreigners know baklava not halva
