For a long time I have been wanting to build myself a great wheel. But the traditional models include bending wood and that's just not possible for me. You are giving me new ideas. Currently I have one great wheel from 19th century that I am repairing to working condition. But you can never have too much spinning equipment.
I don't have the plans drawn up right now, but when I do I'll add them as an update to my eBook that's already out. I use this wheel in the last two episodes of my JunoUcan podcast. They are episodes 18 and 19.
I didn't even know there was such a thing as a spinning guild... Does anyone use a box charkha? I'm considering getting one, but I'm not sure how versatile they are. Have you ever used one? This new design looks kewl, would be nice if it was reversible for left handed users. Is it harder to spin one handed then with a treadle style wheel? (main concern about a book / box charkha)
I do know a few people that use Box Charkhas. They say they aren't for spinning large amounts of fiber, but are perfectly suited for spinning super fine gauges.
Not yet. I should of had it done years ago. I’m hoping to get them out later this year. When I do they will be a free update to your existing purchase. Sorry if you bought the plans for this wheel. I’ll try to give you a heads up when I finally push it out. Thank you for supporting the work. :)

I like the new wheel design! Good job! Also, your stand gave me an idea for a telescope tripod, very nice idea with the removable feet : )
Oh Yeah! I want one!! It is the only way I will ever have a great wheel!
How do I get one? Are there plans or do I have to buy one from you?
have you a step by step on how you made this wheel with all the dimensions?
I like it! I've already made a Dodec wheel where do I get plans for this one?
